MLM Bot Watch 69 - the gift that keeps on giving all year round!

Welcome to place where we dive into the murky depths of Multilevel Marketing (MLM), Network Marketing, Direct Sales, Social Selling (or whatever you want to call those dodgy product-based pyramid schemes) and dredge up the dirty lies bots tell to rope in their victims. (Clue: MLM is never “... an amaaaaaaayyyyyzzzing opportunity that I think you’d be great at, hun!”)

This is where we discuss certain fibbing hun bots who pretend to be entrepreneurs (they’re not, they’re just playing shop) who brag on social media about unlimited wealth, multiple six figure salaries, residual income, willable businesses, or just making a couple of hundred quid in those nooks and crannies of time. The truth is that most people who get roped into these schemes on the back of false promises lose money and often get into debt.

We’re onto bots who are held up by their particular MLM as running outstandingly successful businesses even though they’re bankrupt or are directors of insolvent companies. We know about bots who bought their position high up the pyramid, and those who con people with mindset coaching programmes. We also keep an eye on the plain old Billy Bullshitters who claim to be making six figures and describe themselves as “debt free” even though their accounts on Companies House show a very different story.

Will 2022 be the year of reckoning for MLMs and fibbing bots? Let’s hope so. Grin

As a seasoned scammer, I'm pretty sure Yawn knows that the 'training' she's receiving is money for old rope.

I suspect her angle is two-fold:

  • she can direct her minions to the charlatan for the same 'game changing' training she has 'learnt so much from' (for a commission, e.g. free training for her and X amount commission for any of her downlines she sends their way)
  • she can declare herself now qualified to deliver this training for a fee (alongside BFF) to their own downlines and any other struggling bots.

There is no way she does not have an angle on this.

acatcalledjohn · 07/01/2022 16:08

I wouldn't be surprised if CharlaYawn gets a referral fee for referring her minions to this charlatan.

Spongebobette · 07/01/2022 16:10

I’m sure Uber had some arrangement like that with O’Conman

It won't have just been Uber, I think quite a few had an arrangement with him. Is he still around ?

@BSintolerant

It’s a pity Yawn can’t see that she’s being scammed by her so-called coach. Is he really teaching her anything new? “Talk to ten people every day” sounds familiar. All these coaches do is feed people with false hope, regurgitate old training (Yawn may as well read First Steps to Manager again) and keep people too busy so they don’t have time to stop and reflect on the fact that only a few people make huge amounts of money from MLM and most of the money is made from the shadow pyramid. She’s a mug.
To reach the level she has, that's all stuff she can recite in her sleep... she can't genuinely be learning from it, can she?

If she does have an arrangement like that I think it would go down like a lead balloon with the Forever Fibbing coaches and management as the coach she’s latched onto is associated with Amway.

@BSintolerant
I think the charlatan 'coaches' that hover around the fringes of MLM feeding off the scraps are pretty much freelance 'guns for hire'- the likes of O'Conman, Eric Whore, the Ninja networker, Yawn's current guru etc. might at various points be more associated with one or other MLM because that's where the trade happens to be, but they flit around. It's a free market and open season.

BSintolerant · 07/01/2022 20:43

They’re like flies round shit aren’t they? Perhaps Yawn’s got an affiliate link to make money out of each referral.

Is Bob Proctor of The Secret fame still wheeled out at MLM rallies? I remember watching something on YouTube when he was on stage desperately trying to persuade people not to leave a particular MLM scheme (can’t recall which one) with the usual “Stick with it: success is just around the corner” mantra. Obviously those at the top were worried about their downlines deserting them which is why they hired him to speak.

Remember Gembot? She appears to have set her own mentoring company up for, a group of people she obviously has lived knowledge of, yes, MEN 🤷‍♂️

Using the following catchy text to draw new clients in

Men let me mentor you to become the Mighty Man you were supposed to be

PieonaBarm · 07/01/2022 21:09

Oh and a 6 week individual course is £600 😂 or you can have Group Mentoring, max 20 people, for £50 a month. She can help you with :

Healthy relationships
Finance mentoring
Life direction
Moving you from stuck to breakthrough
Finding your Authentic Self

She will also take referrals from social services, schools and prisons for a social enterprise business arm she has. I am honestly stunned!

BSintolerant · 07/01/2022 21:42

Bloody hell! 😂

Is Gembot one of Yawn’s minions who she dishonestly described as a teacher to make her downline seem more impressive?

Does Gembot have an interactive free webinar as a sales funnel for all those puny men out there who are crying out for a woman like her to teach them how to be mighty? The fun we could have with that ... The women amongst us could log in wearing false beards like they did at the stoning in The Life of Brian. Grin

OP posts:
BSintolerant · 07/01/2022 21:45

“EEEEEEKKKKK!”

“Are there any women here?”

“no, no, No, NO!

JUST MEN WHO NEED TO BE MIGHTY AGAIN!”

PieonaBarm · 07/01/2022 21:47

Yep that's Gembot. You can have a free taster zoom call (I've spent far too long on her site tonight 😂), so fake beards could be donned there!

There's also a Facebook support group, with 7 members. Sign me up hun!

WellThatsATurnipForTheBooks · 07/01/2022 21:54

They're all banging on about coaching at the moment.
Uber's Insta stories says "Even a coach needs a coach".

Another common theme at the moment that I've noticed is the "I've been approached by someone who was scared to speak to me/worried about contacting me ......we chatted for 5 mins and they realised that I'm real person/not scary/we chatted like friends" etc.

I've seen Yawn do it very recently and now Uber. It must be on FL's weekly memo.

JohnStonesMissus · 07/01/2022 22:31

I can't think who Gembot is, is she in Yawn's downline...any clues?

Whitefire · 07/01/2022 22:51

Who sits at the top of the coaching hierarchy I wonder?

BSintolerant · 07/01/2022 23:00

Gembot:

First name: precious stone which shines bright like a ..... This name is also overused as an MLM rank.

Second name: very common Welsh surname which isn’t Jones or Price. Hello Dickie!

Of course! I just had a memory block for a minute there..
thetemptationofchocolate · 08/01/2022 10:50

Amway, in the 90s, were all about the training. It's how the top bots made their money. They didn't make much from 'the business', it was all from selling training stuff (in those days, books, tapes and meetings) to the downlines.
Some of the top bots from those days were eventually kicked out of Amway for doing this but it took an awfully long time for that to happen. A similar story is told in that book about Amway (Merchants of Deception). So you can see that selling coaching is nothing new in the bot world. They are still using the same tired old scripts for everything.

Spongebobette · 08/01/2022 12:33

I wish someone would message Gembot and ask her what her training, qualifications and experience is in the fields she is claiming to be able to help in

JohnStonesMissus · 08/01/2022 13:20

They can do more harm than good...

fitgirl26 · 08/01/2022 13:35

Got to love Wig screaming about scammers as someone is using her pic on a fake profile. Does she honestly not understand that her and Sleaze are two of the worst scammers out there?

DollyStardust · 08/01/2022 15:12

Something just occurred to me looking back through threads from 2016 when I was one of Castle's bots..

One of her biggest lines, and one used by multiple bots including PhD etc. was that they worked hard now so that could retire in 3-5 years time. I think Castle started in 2013? Or early 2014. PhD was definitely 2014.

So it's now been at least 7 years, that line is no longer rolled out and bits 'working as hard' as ever...!

Spongebobette · 08/01/2022 15:24

Good point
I think they choose ‘3-5 years’ as a time because it’s sufficiently long enough to persuade newish bots to give it a bit longer and not give up, and also so they can claim they are not advertising the business as providing instant success

But long enough that most new recruits have given up by them and count themselves as failures because ‘the only way to fail is to give up’ or some shit like that
