So... Anyone up for an earn £10 a day 2020 thread?

HAPPY NEW YEAR Crown Grin

For anyone who wasn't with us last year, we all set about trying to earn £10 a day on top of our usual income. No MLM schemes or anything dodgy. There were some fantastic amounts achieved, mat leaves extended, babies conceived, and redundancies survived. I know the thread got a bit confusing to follow for new starters, but please don't be intimidated! You don't need any special skills or anything to do any of this, it's all really accessible and I promise we'll all try to be clear about what sites/terms are so no one gets too lost Smile

I haven't had time to put a full list together, and to be honest I want to pop off and go make the most of the content on Crisp Thinking (social media moderation site averaging around £10 per hour) but I was planning on popping up a list a bit later today.

AliciaWhiskers thank you. I need to decide soon. How many hours a week do you do, if you don’t mind me asking?
My other worry is that I work in insurance/finance/banking type job and would be screened for any position in the future. Would something like this come up during vetting process? So many questions and google is not being of any help...

AliciaWhiskers · 12/01/2020 21:53

@LadyContrary I don't really know how many hours a week I do. I just pop online for 20-30 mins at a time when I am free. The pay per hour isn't great at first because you will be quite slow and it pays per message. Once you get a bit quicker, you send more messages per hour so it works out better pay. @GachaBread is the queen of Cloudworkers on here!

GachaBread · 12/01/2020 22:10

@LadyContrary hello love! Cloudworkers is not for everyone. It is of adult nature chat. I currently work 2.5 hours in the morning and 2.5 hours in the night. I do approx 100 msgs per hour but sometimes can be a bit less but that is what I aim for. I do not like it nor do I hate it. It is just something for now to help me make some quick money. It is a self employed position and the company is based in Germany. You can be paid into your bank account or by PayPal. I do not if it would flag up on your insurance job as I do not know how stringent they are with their checks or what you have to disclose to them. Sorry I could not be of any more help.

GachaBread · 12/01/2020 22:12

@JadeDragon23 try LyliaRose for Roamler

SimplyBlue · 12/01/2020 22:12

Jade I am on Roamler but it says I have no invites. It might be because I haven't completed any tasks yet, but if I get one I'll share.

LadyContrary I am also in two minds about cloudworkers. I don't fully understand it yet. I know the type of messages you can expect to receive but do you have to reply in a similar way? Confused

SimplyBlue · 12/01/2020 22:13

I feel like you'd need a good imagination for cloudworkers type of work, and I'm not sure I have one

LadyContrary · 12/01/2020 22:18

GachaBread hello and thank you. This is exactly what I’m after, just need some extra ££ for the next few months and my head is not in it enough to do matched betting or anything else of that kind. I can type fast and I’m not really particularly faint hearted, I did something similar (I think) many years ago (again, just as a quick cash earner) and managed... I suppose I need to decide fast because they’ve given me a 7 day cut off to return the documents to them.

Wolfff · 12/01/2020 22:21

@confusedpup

You don't get kicked off Appen itself but I believe you can only stay on an ongoing project for a year max. Just apply for other projects. There seem to be quite a few long term ones.

GachaBread · 12/01/2020 22:26

@LadyContrary if you can type fast and not be fazed with the talk then go for it. Why don't you send off the paperwork, get the training done and when you go live try it for one day. If it's not for you then give it up.

ConfusedPupMama · 12/01/2020 22:32

Wolfff I’ve applied for most of the projects but I’ve not heard anything. Maybe they prefer you to do one at a time?

JadeDragon23 · 12/01/2020 22:34

Thanks @SimplyBlue and @GachaBread

LadyContrary · 12/01/2020 22:38

@GachaBread I might just do that. I could probably only do 2-3 hours a day but hey, what’s the harm in trying.

BlueBirdGreenFence · 12/01/2020 22:39

I'm also not able to give a Roamler invite out. I didn't need one, maybe because I'm in Scotland.

GachaBread · 12/01/2020 22:46

@BlueBirdGreenFence try the code LyliaRose for Roamler. Should work. They have loads of work in Scotland

GachaBread · 12/01/2020 22:47

@BlueBirdGreenFence sorry my mistake I did not read your post correctly

BlueBirdGreenFence · 12/01/2020 22:50

Good to know there's plenty of work GachaBread. I only signed up on Friday evening so understandably, I haven't seen much. Finger's crossed for my lunch break tomorrow!

SimplyBlue · 12/01/2020 22:50

Quick question about clickworker.

In payment details it asks:

I am commercial and / or freelance? Yes/No

Am I supposed to say yes to this? I suppose any work I do would count as freelance? I think the question is for tax reasons as it also asks for your tax number, which I remember reading on this thread somewhere is your NI number.

SimplyBlue · 12/01/2020 22:51

I'm not trying to avoid paying tax or anything by the way, just not sure of the correct answer. (The kind of jobs I've seen on there, like uploading five selfies etc, doesn't feel like freelance work to me!)

GachaBread · 12/01/2020 22:57

@BlueBirdGreenFence the trick is too constantly refresh the work page say every half hour as they add throughout the day just like BeMyEye does. January is always a bit slow for work on the apps though but hoping it picks up soon though.

GachaBread · 12/01/2020 23:07

@SimplyBlue you get invites on Roamler when you level up. When somebody uses your invite code and starts work then you will earn 2% on everything that they do.

I have invite codes but mine are through email invite only.

Back in 2018 when I joined I found Lyliarose through google and I have give that code to loads of people and it always works. She has a blog about Roamler too if anyone is interested at looking. I've put loads of money in this woman's pocket and I don't even know her it's just the quickest way of getting through the Roamler gates that I know off.

Patapouf · 12/01/2020 23:19

I just looked Roamler up on twitter and they had a code there available!

GachaBread · 12/01/2020 23:25

I've just had a google on lylia rose. She has a whole blog on making money from home not just Roamler. I will have a good look at it tomorrow as my bed is calling me.

SimplyBlue · 12/01/2020 23:30

Interesting, I have no memory of needing a code when I joined Roamler but I guess I got something from somewhere!

themoneyshed · 12/01/2020 23:32

With the smartphone task apps like Roamler, bemyeye etc I would just say remember the work is totally dynamic.

You might look on the app today and there is nothing but on Thursday at 10am it could be loaded with work you can clear up on! So keep checking the apps!

People earn thousands of pounds using them... seriously!

themoneyshed · 12/01/2020 23:33

@SimplyBlue

It just depends where you are in the country. If an area is oversubscribed then they put the silly invite system into play, makes no sense to me if I’m honest lol
