So... Anyone up for an earn £10 a day 2020 thread?

HAPPY NEW YEAR Crown Grin

For anyone who wasn't with us last year, we all set about trying to earn £10 a day on top of our usual income. No MLM schemes or anything dodgy. There were some fantastic amounts achieved, mat leaves extended, babies conceived, and redundancies survived. I know the thread got a bit confusing to follow for new starters, but please don't be intimidated! You don't need any special skills or anything to do any of this, it's all really accessible and I promise we'll all try to be clear about what sites/terms are so no one gets too lost Smile

I haven't had time to put a full list together, and to be honest I want to pop off and go make the most of the content on Crisp Thinking (social media moderation site averaging around £10 per hour) but I was planning on popping up a list a bit later today.

@seizethecuttlefish
Thanks for the link on MB.
I just had a look and there is a chat bot.
Do they really help you along step by step?

seizethecuttlefish · 11/01/2020 22:33

@Frenchdoors1 they are great. I've got stuck a couple of times and the guides are step by step but failing that the chat is brilliant. There's a FB group too but I'm fairly new and find it a bit confusing on the group. I started last Friday and I'm already £28 up. I have 2 more free bets tomorrow which will add another £18 to the pot. I really take my time though. I'm a bit paranoid about messing up.

Honestly, never laid a bet in my life before last week.

Frenchdoors1 · 11/01/2020 22:49

Ahh, thank you for that, @seizethecuttlefish
I'll have another look tomorrow, do you live nearby at all? Grin

Waiting for my first Crisp Statement of Accepted Work to come through from December... any one else still waiting? I assume it comes via email?

ZetaPuppis · 12/01/2020 08:57

I’m not expecting one. Think I earned about £7 in December. I average about £3 per hour at the moment. Hoping I’ll speed up.

Yugi · 12/01/2020 09:08

ZetaPuppis I got a statement for about £4 for my two days of work in November. Grin I didn't invoice it, I will add it onto Januarys. It came through on the 11th Jan, so expecting this months on Monday.

BertieBotts · 12/01/2020 09:14

Has anyone done the Peanut Labs surveys "job" on Clickworker? I can't see how it's adding to my total at all, any time I do it I seem to end up in a kind of merry go round of endless surveys but all from different sites and since I don't have to put any payment info in for any of them or go back and confirm on Clickworker I can't see that it's actually doing anything. Have given up on it for now.

spacepoppers · 12/01/2020 10:47

Good lord, I think matched betting as finally 'clicked' for me, I had always discounted it before as being too confusing. I will be placing my first bet today, and keeping everything crossed!

themoneyshed · 12/01/2020 11:43

@spacepoppers

Woohoo enjoy all the extra money!

As I always say reading about matched betting is 1000x more complicated than actually just doing it lol

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 12/01/2020 13:33

To all the people signing up to Freetrade. It's worth looking at Sportsstack too. You get 6 shares if you use the referral link which is about £3. You need to deposit £10 within 45 days to withdraw it but you don't need to spend that £10.

justtheonethen · 12/01/2020 13:43

Still looking for a free trade invite if anyone has one!

Toobuktim · 12/01/2020 14:30

Ok, am psyching myself up to try matched betting, have been lurking on this post this last week and am now looking at the two recommended websites......please can someone post a link to the fb page that has been discussed? I may have missed that at some point.
I’m going to bite the bullet and go for it this week.......I will end this year debt free!!! That’s the first New Year’s resolution I’ve ever made! New year, new decade, new and better financial situation!!

anxiouswaiting · 12/01/2020 15:35

I had an email 2 weeks ago telling me my time on Inari for Appen was coming to an end and from 10th Jan I would not longer have access to the tool. I still have the tool available though and it is giving me jobs to rate. I know there were others here coming to an end, anyone else still got the tool available to them?

SNISR · 12/01/2020 15:47

@anxiouswaiting I still have the tool available and my end date was yesterday. I don't think we should rate as according to the innari chat, we may not get paid.

anxiouswaiting · 12/01/2020 15:51

@SNISR My end date was Friday. I don't want to risk not getting paid. I've had a rubbish final 2 weeks, only 3 times I had the full 72, otherwise range from 31-54 per day, only managed $233

Catatemyhomework · 12/01/2020 15:58

Ok, so I am really tempted to try matched betting. I have no experience what so ever of book makers and betting terminology. I have watched the team profit videos which are really helpful, so thanks @seizethecuttlefish for posting. I am so nervous of actually placing the bet though. If you put your trigger bet on e.g. coral, I understand that you start with low odds, so that you don't have a high liability on the betting exchange. Is it possible that the odds could change between you placing your back bet and placing your lay bet? Also, do you place all of your trigger bets in the first few days across the different book makers or do you do them one at a time wait? I guess that depends on how much you have to put down at the exchange to cover liability? Lots of questions, just trying to understand how it flows going forward.

girlicorne · 12/01/2020 16:17

@catatemyhomework I m no matched betting expert but I did all the sign ups a couple of years ago. If you have the bookie and the exchange both set up to go in different windows then do the bookie then the exchange the odds shouldn’t fluctuate too much but stick to footie as the odds on horses go mad especially the closer you get to the race. If you feel you can keep track of all the trigger bets and you have enough money to do them all at once and enough liability in the exchange then go for it, if you feel less confident just do one at a time. I started one at a time but as I got more confident and had more money in the exchange I would do a few at once. Like I say I m no expert though but I m sure someone else will be along to correct me or agree with me soon 😀

SimplyBlue · 12/01/2020 16:24

I still can't get my head around matched betting but I discovered today that I have a Betfair account with £10 in it - possibly something I did for 20cogs but it must have been a very long time ago!

I feel I should use it but don't know where to start.

Has anyone been paid for the isoftsone voice recording task yet?

I have a generat8 link to share when I get on my desktop

SimplyBlue · 12/01/2020 16:27

Also - still not heard about my rev application, but it is the weekend so maybe next week..

And I am worried I have annoyed profilic. I haven't had any surveys for a few days and the last one I did I left some negative feedback. I hope that hasn't been held against me.

spacepoppers · 12/01/2020 16:29

@Catatemyhomework so I've done my first one today, I think I'll wait to see how it pans out before I try my hand again, as a newbie I am checking and rechecking!

SNISR · 12/01/2020 16:37

@anxiouswaiting yes same here, only had a few full batches, rest have been around 50.

BertieBotts · 12/01/2020 16:46

Always keep your profile up to date on prolific and that helps a lot with surveys. But I haven't had much on there recently.
