So... Anyone up for an earn £10 a day 2020 thread?

HAPPY NEW YEAR Crown Grin

For anyone who wasn't with us last year, we all set about trying to earn £10 a day on top of our usual income. No MLM schemes or anything dodgy. There were some fantastic amounts achieved, mat leaves extended, babies conceived, and redundancies survived. I know the thread got a bit confusing to follow for new starters, but please don't be intimidated! You don't need any special skills or anything to do any of this, it's all really accessible and I promise we'll all try to be clear about what sites/terms are so no one gets too lost Smile

I haven't had time to put a full list together, and to be honest I want to pop off and go make the most of the content on Crisp Thinking (social media moderation site averaging around £10 per hour) but I was planning on popping up a list a bit later today.

@gillydilly1

The lovely @otterses actually gets a lot of opportunities that she shares with you from our sites ;)

themoneyshed · 10/01/2020 21:59

@TheCanterburyWhales

Have you had the latest Lionbridge email?

I got an email yesterday saying they were looking to bring me on as a rater asking me I wanted to work with them / what phone I had etc and I replied but haven't heard anything since

Lougle · 10/01/2020 22:07

A bit rude, gillydilly1. If you don't find it helpful, ignore it.

StudentHelp · 11/01/2020 00:29

Hoping I haven’t missed too much as I’m currently bogged down with revision. Exams start on Monday and I’ve never been so unsure of myself!

I’ll be back on Wednesday hoping to earn £5 a day now I’ve received everything I was owed from neevo, clickworker etc

Catatemyhomework · 11/01/2020 00:34

Good to see you @StudentHelp. Hope the exams go well for you. I'm sure you'll be fine. I'm missing Neevo. Hope we hear from them again soon! Smile

StudentHelp · 11/01/2020 00:42

@catatemyhomework
Thank you! Not long to go and then they’ll be done but I really don’t want to give up my summer to resits. I need 50% to pass which sometimes looks do-able and then I look at the 50+ parasite life cycles I need to know and panic.

I’m missing neevo too, they were perfect for me during term time. I reckon they’ll have something new for us soon.
Infuriatingly I’ve had so many emails from intellizoon, angelfish, GKA and profilic this last week but I just don’t have the time to spare - I really should be asleep now, setting of early in the morning to do the 200 mile trip back to uni.
I’ve been struggling to sleep the past week though, my nerves are really getting to me.

Catatemyhomework · 11/01/2020 00:59

I remember those days well. I'm sure you'll be fine. What year are you in? You seem really passionate about your degree so I think that's half the battle. I'm sure some other stuff will come up soon. I have to take ds swimming tomorrow morning and I'm still up. The key is to have a good breakfast and then organise yourself with your revision plan and just crack on. This is what I keep telling dd1 anyway! Grin

StudentHelp · 11/01/2020 01:03

@Catatemyhomework
I’m in my 3rd year... out of 6 Grin
I should’ve figured out how to revise efficiently by now but I always feel like I haven’t done enough.

TheCanterburyWhales · 11/01/2020 06:04

Are you steadfastly not taking advantage of any of TMS's helpful money earning tips then Gilly? Because it would be ever so hypocritical if you were to, wouldn't it? Hmm
I am grateful to anyone and everyone sharing stuff on here, and I'm sure Otterses is too.
@themoneyshed nope, never heard diddly from Lionbridge after registering with them last March! I'm on an Appen one now, so iirc LB wouldn't now have me anyway!

Fedupandpoor · 11/01/2020 08:06

Anyone been paid from cloudworkers yet? I sent around 800 messages, will I be paid for that or will it carry over?

MynameisJune · 11/01/2020 08:17

Has anyone had their Crisp email yet for payment? Just wondering if I’ve missed it.

justtheonethen · 11/01/2020 08:23

@MynameisJune not had it yet, it's not due until the 14th.

@Gillydilly1 that was rude! TMS has given us most of our ideas over the last year!

MynameisJune · 11/01/2020 08:27

@justtheonethen ah thank you, for some reason I had the 10th in my head!

justtheonethen · 11/01/2020 08:29

@MynameisJune 10th business day! It does usually come earlier.

Glittersocks · 11/01/2020 08:47

Hello everyone, I’ve been lurking for a little while and thought I’d pop in. Thanks to whomever mentioned Crisp a few months ago. I did the test - very interesting stuff - and got on the list. I’d love to work with Crisp but 6 months average waiting? Agh!!

I’ve had a little play with One Pulse; ISay; and Prolific. They’re fun, and maybe the pennies will stack up but it’s a micro pot at the moment. I did the isoftstone MB** project too.

I also work with Lionbridge. I’m new there. They have a few roles available on their website. I found the recruitment process to be quick, they need a CV / Resume. The exams are hard, so if invited study the guidelines Smile As the first rule of Lionbridge is don’t talk about Lionbridge Grin I’d recommend googling for the blog passleapforceexams for info. I found it very helpful. There’s also a $25 affiliate link for Payoneer signup if you need it (I don’t, so haven’t checked into the small print but mentioning it here as it might be helpful to some).

Lastly, @themoneyshed thanks for your info on these threads about matched betting. Not heard about that before, looks interesting.

GachaBread · 11/01/2020 08:57

@Fedupandpoor Cloudworkers sent out an email not so long ago explaining that payment would be a day or two late due to the Christmas bonus. Have you checked your spam/junk folder as sometimes emails from them end up their?

GachaBread · 11/01/2020 08:59

@Fedupandpoor payments are usually made the 14th of every month. They say expect it on the 10th working day on the month which is usually around the 14th but sometimes can be sent earlier.

Spartonian · 11/01/2020 10:33

20cogs

I don't think I'm ever going to be able to cash out.

SNISR · 11/01/2020 11:32

@Gillydilly1 I feel that's very rude of you. I'm not sure how long you have been on here, but @themoneyshed has been very helpful.

I've never read any negative comments on these threads and I have been following since early last year. We are here to help each other earn a bit of extra income and the people on here have been nothing but amazing in helping each other do so.

Catatemyhomework · 11/01/2020 11:44

Well said @SNISR, I'm always really grateful for any help and support. I haven't been here long myself but I absolutely love these threads and love the fact that everyone is supportive and helpful towards eachother. It feels like I am part of a little community and I love the positivity.

BertieBotts · 11/01/2020 11:52

You're all way too fast, I'm lost :o

I think I have earned about £4 this year so far Hmm

Anyway. I have done some Prolific, joined waiting list for Crisp and have done a load of Clickworker this morning, forgot to sign up with a referral though, boo. I need to get onto doing a CV for Appen.

I reckon I could do matched betting but am a bit nervous about it and don't have anything to put in as yet that I can afford to lose. So probably wait a bit for that one. Doesn't help being abroad and trying not to fall foul of any gambling laws.

Will try and trawl through thread for any more I can find.

MoreMoneyPlease · 11/01/2020 12:28

I agree with pp, I love that this thread is so supportive and helpful, and I've never seen any negative comments on here before, even when I've asked some really daft questions! Long may this last Smile

margaritasbythesea · 11/01/2020 12:31

I failed Calawhatsit Sad. And I did try!

Never mind. Onwards and upwards.

Catatemyhomework · 11/01/2020 12:55

@margaritasbythesea, never mind. It's all experience, that's what I say. I'm of the mind set now where if I fail something, it probably wasn't the project for me anyway. I still haven't heard from calawotsit. Constantly checking emails but no sign. Still haven't heard from Rev either. I don't mind if I end up failing the tests, although obviously I'd rather pass, but I just want to be able to give it a go and try. It's frustrating when you don't hear anything at all. I might ping them an email.

EchoLocation · 11/01/2020 14:00

I'm new to this thread and really enjoying it, thank you for all the helpful information!

I've applied for Crisp and Appen and completed all tasks on 20cogs (hope they all complete!!)

I started MB on Monday and am £30 up already - well pleased with that!

I also signed up to Gener8ads, a browers extension that you gain tokens for every tab you open/ad you see. Apparently they are soon enabling the ability to cash out, so if any one else wants to get in on it, here's my referral link for 10 tokens each:

refer.gener8ads.com/r/oe5xIn

I actually prefer their ads to the normal ones I used to see Grin
