HAPPY NEW YEAR

For anyone who wasn't with us last year, we all set about trying to earn £10 a day on top of our usual income. No MLM schemes or anything dodgy. There were some fantastic amounts achieved, mat leaves extended, babies conceived, and redundancies survived. I know the thread got a bit confusing to follow for new starters, but please don't be intimidated! You don't need any special skills or anything to do any of this, it's all really accessible and I promise we'll all try to be clear about what sites/terms are so no one gets too lost

I haven't had time to put a full list together, and to be honest I want to pop off and go make the most of the content on Crisp Thinking (social media moderation site averaging around £10 per hour) but I was planning on popping up a list a bit later today.

@anxiouswaiting I just assumed my Malta task had ended and I've not even checked! Will check tonight. I didn't get an email to say it had ended but all the queues were pretty much empty.

Anybody still getting the test for cala? I reeeeeally wanted that one but no test!

I'm getting a bit disheartened, tbh. I have earned £2.22 on Prolific. I must be really uninteresting, because I'm not getting any surveys.

I've signed up for 10 projects on Appen. One says "work this!" but then says I'll get an email if they want me. The others are just pending.

I've signed up for uTest and completed 3 Academy cycles, but nothing from them yet, either.

I've signed up for Respondent but nothing there.

I've applied for Crisp, passed and been waitlisted.

I didn't expect to be instantly rolling in money, but I did think I'd do something by now.

I thinking smartphone apps like roamler, bemyeye etc would be a good fit for you as you can withdraw at any time and see how much you are making as you do each task :)

Thanks @girlicorne and @spacepoppers for your replies. Very helpful to me. I think I will play it by ear for now. I am going to set up a separate bank account first, as all the sites seem to suggest doing this so you don't get problems with re-mortgaging. Also I can keep track of my winnings! . I think I will be very caustion to start and see how I go. Team profit is very helpful. Their videos are easy to understand and they have a step by step guide to take you through which I really need!

Right, I've opened my MB bank account. Team profit recommend Monzo, so that's step 1. When my physical card arrives I will start MB.

@BertieBotts after my post about getting nothing, I had two studies available on profilic. I missed one but did the other. It was a voice recording one with some "sensitive" questions - did anyone do this one? It was a bit odd!

@Lougle I'm in a similar position but have made small amounts from Qmee (surveys with no minimum payout - you can withdraw cash straight to PayPal). I've made about £25 in total from them over 3 weeks, so not a fortune by any means but better than nothing.

Today I created and sent off a profile to Upwork. People advertise freelancer jobs in a range of roles. I have experience in quite a few areas, but you need to be quite specific as to what you offer. I have settled on data entry/admin and tried to focus my profile on that. Not the most interesting but I think I'd have more chance of getting work in those areas. It says you find out if you're accepted in 24 hours so fingers crossed.

I also applied today for "The Modsqad". It's moderating work. I didn't spend much time on this application and just sent off the most recent version of my CV. I was too tired to put effort in.

Oh and I made $2 on intellizoom which was paid directly in to my PayPal. I know it's just $2 haha but I wasn't expecting anything - not entirely sure what I did actually. I got an email a few days ago saying the money had been paid into my PayPal, and so it had.

I have BeMyEye and Roamler installed on my phone though have yet to make use of either. There is a short task on Roamler that I could have completed today if I'd spotted it before I got home. If it's still there tomorrow I'm going to give it a go.

Tomorrow, unless I have any news of work from one of the above, or any of the others... Then my plan is to sign up/look into:

Cloudworker - I have looked into this a few times but have been too nervous to apply.

Oh and really need to login to utest and see what that's like. I did a little work in testing before so should make more out of this. I haven't done anything since I first signed up.

Oh and I really must get a matched betting bank account in case I ever get confident enough to try matched betting. I have not set up a new account since I was 13! I have only switched. Is it possible to set up a new bank account when you have very few available funds to deposit?

@Catatemyhomework are there any monzo codes around at the moment do you know?

I'll have a go on intellizoom then - any referral bonuses for that one or do you just sign up?

@AliciaWhiskers, I'm not sure about codes for Monzo, I just signed up via the team profit website. @SimplyBlue, I have no idea about matched betting either. I have never placed a bet in my life. I am prepared to give it a try though, as the team profit website is very helpful. Also they devise a personal plan for you, based on how much you have to start, your experience and other factors. Apparently, they are doing a live stream walk through of the Coral Offer on Wednesday evening at 7pm if anyone's interested in learning more.

If anyone needs any help with casino ( not gambling obviously but earning) let me know.

After all my moaning, I'm earning decent money on Crisp and enjoying it.
All my Malta projects are gone. No sign of any more projects moving. I have a 1 hr a day project, so making sure I complete that every day.

I'm also making some money on matched betting. No idea about the casino ones so might be asking for help

@SimplyBlue, it took me 10 minutes to set up my Monzo account. Just name and adress and a photo of your driving licence or passport. Then you have to send a quick video of you saying "I want to set up a Monzo account". I think that is just to verify that you are who you are from your photo ID. That is it! I haven't deposited any money in mine yet. They didn't ask about salary or proof of earnings. Quickest bank account I've ever set up!

I am the same @SimplyBlue with regard to having nothing on the go at the moment. I have 10 Appen projects in progress but no actual work. Haven't been sent the test for Calawah yet. Did the Rev test a few days ago and heard nothing. Passed the initial Crisp test in October but haven't heard anything from them, I have applied for a test cycle with UTest, but don't know if that will go anywhere. I did really well from Neevo in December and earned over $800 but haven't heard anything from them since. January is very quiet for me too. This is why I am now contemplating matched betting as IF I get it right, that would be guaranteed income. Emphasis on the IF there! @seizethecuttlefish, I haven't been paid for the isoftstone task either. I have emailed them and they said:
"Payments will be issued after the end of all stages of this project, around mid-January".

Fyi when you sign up, make sure you take the practice studies. I didn't get round to do doing this until this week, have one awaiting assessment currently. If I pass, it is supposed to result in better paid tasks for future.

Is anyone on here doing work for Cloudworkers? I applied and they sent me all the paperwork but I’m in two minds. Is it worth it? Is it possible to actually make money on it? And is it soul destroying? I would be grateful for any opinions.

@LadyContrary I am on something similar to Cloudworkers. I don't mind it. I've been doing it for about a month now and have made about £320. few people on here have started and then stopped it so it's not for everyone. You could try it and see.

I signed up for Roamler and had my first task rejected. I misinterpreted what they meant by store entrance but fingers crossed the next time I'll have more luck!

I'm trying to sign up to Roamler but I need an invitation code from a current member - does anyone have one please?

Has anybody been terminated from Appen yet? I’m coming up to a year in March and preparing for the fact I’ve read that they terminate after a year? I hate the project I’m on but I’ve been making good money and I will miss it!
