Still continuing the discussion of the various network marketing schemes or multi-level marketing schemes (MLMs) that people we know are involved in.

If you have an MLM bot of your own then join us and share their claims and content.

Or if you are researching a company before signing up to be a network marketer please take a look at the previous threads here and here and also this thread which delves deeper into the workings of MLMs.

And don't forget our very own MN MLM Timeless Vie!

Ooooh shiny new thread. Must read the dying vestiges of the last one.

As you were.

MrsHathaway, I'm adding large fishing brolly Grin

LittleMissStubborn · 22/12/2015 21:46

I better not join that business, I kill off everything I try to grow,

Apart from my cactus I have done good there, but they thrive on neglect so not a great advertisement.

darceybussell · 22/12/2015 21:49

Does anyone dare suggest who is the most boastful bot in the UK? I fancy a nosy

bettyberry · 22/12/2015 22:38

Festive boredom has set in. I need to nosey at some pop bots too Wink

IAmNotDarling · 22/12/2015 23:48

Hi all

The last thread dropped off my active threads really quickly. I've been to visit a friend who has become a Morman this evening and was telling him about the "Merchants of Deception" book. I told him all about the FLbots and he thought it sounded like a cult. When I drew parallels with the Morman church and explained that all this can from Utah he glazed over. Sad

The other posts this woman makes are hilarious!!! She hasn't bought that - it's definitely a rental. Oh and how does she know it's one of the top 5 barn conversions in the country?

stopfaffing · 23/12/2015 07:56

Hmm, it is all very sketchy on the detail though, isn't it Pink? As always, smoke and mirrors plays a part, the same as EC's "buying a castle" farce.

Sadly, it is another success story that people will read and believe Sad.

stopfaffing · 23/12/2015 07:58

Iam, who will dare to post asking her how long her tenancy is Grin.

Actually it is really sad because it may be true that she gave up the right to buy her council home at a reasonable price because she was seduced by the fl dream.

stopfaffing · 23/12/2015 08:01

I have just posted a reply to someone on nethuns who has been doing fl for a couple of months and after the initial interest, has struggled to find anyone interested in buying the products. She wonders why she is struggling because she only reads success stories with fl.

I have replied Grin.

stopfaffing · 23/12/2015 08:15

I was unable to post anything on her page Grin.

PinkFondantFancy · 23/12/2015 08:31

You're right, I'd only been thinking about the people that she's duping into thinking they too could get there - I hadn't thought that she might have given up her right to buy.... do you reckon FL own the house and rent it to her???

PinkFondantFancy · 23/12/2015 08:31

Elsewhere on her page is a pic of her FL planner - it seems to mostly say 'dinner' 'chores' and 'sleep' as far as I can tell.....

CallieTorres · 23/12/2015 08:41

Wow callie!! Shock how do people fall for this?!

CallieTorres · 23/12/2015 08:56

PinkFondantFancy -
she writes "I have sacrificed time with the kids" i thought the 'point' of FL was that you had more time with the DCs?

CallieTorres · 23/12/2015 09:00

OMG!! i'm turning in to a bloody stalker now!

In July she was doing right-to-buy, and posted a bloody picture with her D.O.B, and signature!! (i've hidden those bits)

CheekySmile · 23/12/2015 09:05

Wow Pink, I'd love to be able to publicly question how she's done that. Also amazed she didn't try the 'ask me how' line...

But this:
I have worked this business for 18 months never once having a day off! I have sacrificed time with the kids, had arguments with the people I'm doing it for, been absolutely mocked and laughed at.... But I kept the vision of why I was doing it!
is so typical of what we hear from those involved in MLMs. They're selling the dream of a full-time income from part-time hours, more time with your loved ones etc. Those who want to make any halfway decent money really do have to give all of that up.

I hate all of that passive agressive, 'you're uneducated, you're a fool to not do this,' attitude from the bots. Not always agressive, though, sometimes outright humiliation and agression. This from FL Facebook page. They obviously went a bit far as FL never usually answer to criticism.
