Well I was told last week my documents are on the way to me, then yesterday told there is a backlog so could be a few weeks. They are so vague with answers. I asked how long it would take to make a decision, they couldn't possibly say. However when I called tax credits and asked them, they said to call concentrix as they can tell.

finallyover · 11/08/2015 16:04

A huge thank you from an internet weirdy who got a letter from Concentrix. Look I even registered so I could say it :-)

I have disabilities and set up a business from home and my partner has also started his own business. I have such a niche market work has been terrible to find and I've been existing on my WTC.

When I came to renew with HMRC I had the adviser from hell who stopped my disability element, accused me of never telling them my partner was self-employed. Spoke to me as if I was a piece of shit and told me that my partner didn't need to buy any more equipment for his business. I actually asked him if thought we sat round all day watching Jeremy Kyle. Yes I was that annoyed.

Anyway - I phoned back about 20 mins later when I'd got the previous years forms down. Spoke to a lovely lady who put all the elements back on and made a complaint. The result was I got £150 compensation eventually and a letter from Concentrix. They still alleged that I'd never told them about my partner being self-employed but I persisted that they dig out their phone records. They had to admit I was right and the original adviser hadn't noted it down. I got £50 for that.

Anyway 3 months later a lot of worry about managing money etc I phoned today and got through right away to be told my case had been closed with no amendments.

I burst into tears. Only my partner knows what we've been going through and he's got a rare job today. But I knew you lovely people would understand the relief. Reading your stories and successes kept me going plus I knew what to do if they didn't sort it out.

I've got to wait for the letter coming out now but you know the relief I'm going through.

So thank you all for unknowingly keeping me sane. Fingers crossed you all get the same results as me.

Morgan97 · 11/08/2015 16:26

What a lovely outcome for you finallyover, don't you just love that feeling of proving them wrong. I'm really pleased for you. This thread kept me sane for nearly three months of hell without the support if the ladies n a few gents on here I would have gone completely mad x

So happy for all of you still getting good news!! Bit of an update from me, after tax credits putting my payments into the wrong account last week, then a suspension being put on my account, I then got a letter from my housing benefit saying that had been stopped too!!! I burst into tears, I don't get a lot towards my rent because I work but it was the icing on the cake, so had to spend yesterday getting documents (yes you guessed it all the docs they wanted concentrix still have!!) I then sat in the council to get it sorted! Lady said should be sorted in a week but was on edge, anyway then got home and decided to ring tax credits to see if they knew when I'd get a payment which they didn't, could see the payment but hadn't been sent! After another night of tears and worry I rang tax credits again this afternoon to be told payment been sent so should be with me Thursday! Thank god! Then decided to ring housing benefit to make sure they had everything they need, to be told yes and it's been sorted and will be in my bank on Thursday too! So thought I was on a roll and rang concentrix as its them I'm appealing with about last years overpayment of wtc but it's still with the mandatory reconsideration team but please god let it be my third bit of luck this week! At least I know the worst that can happen now is they don't agree with my appeal and I have to pay £14 a week back out of my tax credits towards overpayment but fingers crossed it's all coming to an end...........

Hopefully xx

Morgan97 · 11/08/2015 17:08

Awww fingers crossed for you dolly. God what a completely pointless exercise this has been for ALL of us. It amazes me that these people actually think they're doing a worthwhile job.

hi ladies, well, almost 5 weeks since my no change concentrix letter and still no award notice. When I rang HMRC a few weeks ago they said it can take up to 8 weeks!! Well, they're still paying me weekly so I guess my ward has disappeared. One of my neighbours probably got it which is a scary thought. Because if they do, they've kept it and are probably committing identity fraud or something! I am loathed to ring HMRC again but my eldest will be going into 6th form in September so I'll have to ring them then any way. Has any one else waited ages for HMRC? I think some one get their award delivered else where didn't they? Babyalan, scousejo, glad you're back! I go away for a few days on Friday so I'll maybe wait and ring HMRC after that. Hope you're all well, happy and taxcredited. x

missymoo18 · 11/08/2015 19:55

Stresshead99, I've been waiting about the same time as you for my award letter, when I phoned hmrc a few weeks back they also told me it can take 8 weeks, the guys attitude was your still getting paid so what you worrying about, I was furious, they don't seem to be in any rush or realise that we need the award letter for other things, I need it as proof of income for my daughter starting college so she can get travel allowance, hope we don't have to wait too much longer Hmm

dontneedthis · 12/08/2015 10:44

Hi ladies I got my no change needed letter but still have not got any of my documents back..I don't know I just feel with concentrix they will start something again..has anyone got the final letter and not recieved th docs yet

finallyover · 12/08/2015 10:50

Received my letter today. Amazingly it is dated the 8th June. My documents were signed for on the 24th June. Clearly they are psychic and we all just wasted time, money and effort in posting documents to them.

Seriously I am so relieved to have the letter. I spent yesterday evening wondering if I'd misheard what she said and would have to go through it all again.

What a complete waste of time and money!

enderwoman · 12/08/2015 10:54

Just got an "award cancelled" letter despite being told over the phone that it was no change and documents sent end of May. Fuck fuck fuck. I need food and school shoes. Shit shit shit. On hold to the lying fuckers now. Not seen xh in the flesh since 201

dontneedthis · 12/08/2015 11:14

Ender women did you get a letter from concentrix saying no change??and they still cancelled your award letter? These horrid ppl do not understand the affect this is having on people..hope this gets sorted out for you

Sronm1979 · 12/08/2015 11:14

Dontneedthis I'm in the same boat no change letter dated 28th July received 4th August but still no documents. Rang HMRC, award letter was finalised 30th July but still no letter - why does it take so long to send by Royal Mail? I buy things from EBay & it only takes a few days!

enderwoman · 12/08/2015 11:30

Just finished calling Concentrix and woman on phone plus senior manager agree that the decision maker screwed up. Ex pays me the CSA amount by bank transfer plus the mortgage and the decision maker thought that it meant we were together. our plan is to sell the house when youngest goes to university

Payments will apparently restart when this other department process it until then I have to work out how to scrape enough money for school shoes and food. (It's ds2 birthday next week but at least I have gifts for him.)

I've now had my payments stopped twice without any notice.

And guess what ? Apparently I can't prove that ex lives with ow by sending them his council tax etc (with his consent) How screwed up is that?

handsoff5 · 12/08/2015 11:59

i recieved a letter today from Concentrix saying we have completed our checks to April 2015 and we dont need to change your award. Does that mean its cased closed for me? I have been stressing since mid May! I had a letter saying someone else lives with me...the same time my 19 year old son applied for credit! I explained all this in my cover letter along with documents which they scanned on june16th! I even wrote you can come to where I live as I only have a 2 bed flat with 19yr son and 2 girls 15 and 17!!! I told them where I would sleep anyone else!!

efergie82 · 12/08/2015 12:00

Hey guys thought i would give you an update, i got a reply from my MP who had sent my complaint onto David Gauke MP Treasury Minister (scared me at first as it looked official). Its a long one so here goes. Thank you for your letter of the 22nd of June to Damian Hinds (my MP)enclosing correspondence from your constituent (my name and address) about tax credits. I am replying as Minister for this policy area.

(my name) is concerned about letters sent to tax credits claimants by Concentrix, on behalf of HMRC.

She has stated that the wording of these letters is harsh. Letters issued by Concentrix are intended to be clear, so recipients know exactly what to do. It is important they do not ignore requests for information otherwise run the risk of their payments being interrupted. HMRC and Concentrix certainly do not intend their letters to worry people unnecessarily, or cause undue concern.HMRC regularly reviews the letters in light of comments received from customers.

Then a paragragh on how HMRC routinly check awards and how much saved last year.

Then onne sating that they only contact people where "there is a real indication that a claim could be wrong" And thats why they ask for information ect.

Then them adressing why you only get 30 days tp reply.

Then an apology for the fact you can never get through and that "Concentrix is expected to meet high standards of customer service. HMRC is monitoring Concentrixs performance to ensure it is taking every action possible to address this" (But hang on werent we led to belive concentrix is above HMRC and yet HMRC are the ones evaluating them).

A web adress for complaints www.gov.uk/complain-to-hm-revenue-and-custom .

Then "(my name)states that HMRC will notgive any aid or enact any changes while a case is locked. Customers are still able to report any changes to HMRCs helpline as usual. Changes relating to the period Concentrix are checking will be actioned once checks are complete" (well we all know HMRC just say they need you to call Concentrix when you contact them). So thats the basic jist of it, just thougt id put it out there

mc1970 · 12/08/2015 13:10

Dollygem · 12/08/2015 16:42

Well I got home from work to my first lot of docs back and to two award letters for this year, first one was with the overpayment on (of over 3k a whole years wtc!!) and the second one saying there is an overpayment but is to be taken from my tax credits yet (as its in appeal!) still got my proper award to come as I've re claimed wtc again as I was never not entitled to it! So just waiting on that now and to hear from concentrix about my appeal, I keep ringing everyday but still with the mandatory reconsideration team.

lauren132 · 12/08/2015 16:46
