I phoned Concentrix yesterday after my ordeal in the morning & said that 10days ago I was told my mandatory reconsideration was with the decision makers & that I needed an update. He told me that it was still with decision makers & it was at this point that I lost the plot basically! I became hysterical crying, told him that it's been almost 22weeks with no payments, that I had enforcement officers banging my door down at 6am recording me, it was dark, I was scared and alone with my kids, we'd all been woken up and that I couldn't carry on like this. He told me to calm down & spoke to a manager. Authorised my case to be looked at immediately, he told me to call back today for the update. After what happened yesterday morning i've been left feeling on edge. I had a panic attack when I was doing the kids dinner last night and every little noise I hear I think somebody is trying to get in the house. I'm scared to ring Concentrix back today because if it's bad news I don't think I'm going to be able to take it.

Haggis48 · 18/11/2015 10:48

Sweetheart I don't know what to say to help but hang in there and il pray for positive news for you Flowers xx

Cazzamoody · 18/11/2015 11:02

I won't be bad news I had a phone bill paid in my address from the father of my children and they were fine with that as it was contracts for my teenage children. Same as yours! Don't be scared I have a good feeling that you will have this resolved! Just think how much better you will feel once you've made that call. Please don't panic you've done nothing wrong. Xxx

I called them, not what I wanted to hear. My case has not even been looked at even though I was told yesterday it would be looked at yesterday! The man I spoke to yesterday assured me of this and told me to call back today for the update! Now today I've been told that he can see my case has been escalated but he can't say when it will be looked at and that I shouldn't have been told what I was yesterday! I've ended up in tears on the phone again. He said I've basically been moved up the queue and I'll hear from them. I give up.

Cazzamoody · 18/11/2015 11:56

I'm so sorry! It seems like a lottery I'm sure your case will be sorted soon it can't carry on like this it's awful xx

forest01 · 18/11/2015 15:36

I have been worried sick, I wonder if they are really able to look at bank statements, we are being cohursted into it with the threat of removal of tax credits.

Hawaiiturtle101 · 18/11/2015 15:47

I've tried to forget about till the next brown envelope drops through my door. I've got payments into my account from.the dad and my mum. payments in for work as it self employed..but all the pa per work they asked for was in my name. so I'm interested to see what they make of it. I don't know who they reckon is linked as I didn't ring as I'm not making it easier for them and discussing it over the phone.

forest01 · 18/11/2015 16:07

I'm the same, just waiting on next envelope, if bills are in your name that should be all they need, it's reading previous posts some people have been sent to mandatory?!

Sassie2633 · 18/11/2015 17:33

I've not rang them either waiting from advice from welfare rights tomorrow it's wrong putting single mothers through this as if life isn't hard enough already xxx

Nic1964 · 18/11/2015 17:48

Hi all, I received a letter from concentrix on the 9th November requesting all my bank statements since April all accounts including joint. I did this last year through HMRC but I have been 'chosen' again, (I'm obviously special) I have a couple of resits to do to qualify as an accountant so have spent the last couple of years on a low income as I have been studying to support me and my daughter. I was on ESA as I have fibromyalgia and under active thyroid, but they hounded me to death so I went back to studying. It has been so hard at times but I don't feel as I have a choice. I called concentrix and asked why and they informed me that a man was associated with my address. I've never in 4 years had anyone live with me here and in fact although I do have a boyfriend he has stayed at my home just 5 nights in 6 years. ( I'm afraid I'm getting a bit selfish in my old age) I like my space. He doesn't support me financially in any way at all. It was not my boyfriends name. I then decided to look this company up and have found issue after issue surrounding their methods. Also women claiming names had come from nowhere. In my case they informed me the name of the man associated with me was a man by the name of Frederick Tatem. I became deeply suspicious at this point and said to the man on the line, there isn't nor ever has been anyone by that name associated with me or this address. I asked if I should contact the credit reference agencies as I asked was there a possibility someone was trying to fraudulently use my address? He advised me to do just that. For those of you who are not aware Frederick Tatem is a character from the Simpsons to programme. Now however, I have an extension until the 19 th Dec and I have an apt with my MP Mr Norman Lamb on the 4th Dec, to say I'm seething is an understatement..

forest01 · 18/11/2015 18:06

Why should you suffer for a name that is tied to your address, can't understand it!! If your name is on the bills and you pay them then how can they say that someone lives with you. Then to give you a name that you have never heard of ?? surely they should be able to back this up with evidence of how that person is associated to you or your address. What have you got an extension for??

forest01 · 18/11/2015 18:07

Can you ask the welfare officer are Concentrix allowed to look at bank statements, I would feel they are personal and private!!

Sassie2633 · 18/11/2015 18:11

Yeah forest I'll ask him tomoz for you xxx

Mommagonnaknockyouout · 18/11/2015 18:14

Reading this tread I'm very scared. I had a compliance letter 3 weeks ago and deadline is tomorrow so sent yesterday recorded delivery. Payment due this week. They have confirmed they are paying this but next is due Christmas week. My letter was regards to working hours, told them mint a time I'm on a 0 hour contract so work is only as and when. I've now had to go on sick because of ill health. I've more then 3 children

Nic1964 · 18/11/2015 18:58

I have an extension as I have fibro fog which means that it can take me longer to do things and obviously stress exacerbates this. I agree with you forest01, the onus should be on HMRC to prove the status not an individual to disprove. This is part of the reason I am seeing my MP. I feel that women particularly are being victimised. There are a number of issues that have come to my attention and I am by no means a feminist but the odds on a financial level are heavily stacked against women. Insurance for example, if you are a woman and take a loan with insurance out have children under 7 then lose your job. You cannot claim on that insurance to repay your loan. The reason for this is you are not allowed to claim JSA you have to claim income support because you have children under 7 and as such not classed as unemployed. I have found out lots of things the hard way and feel the injustice is crippling. I am very much on a mission to highlight the inequalities that are prevalent in our society.

Sassie2633 · 18/11/2015 19:46

When was your due in as I'm thinking of doing this as still waiting for information xxx

Hawaiiturtle101 · 18/11/2015 20:28

I don't care if someone is linked to my house..It's my bloody house..I own it !! if I wanted the King of Spain to live with me .he could. They seem to forget that people have rights too. It is upto them to prove it not me to prove otherwise I still get post for the old owners, I get my mums catalogue bill here...its my house!!! they HMRC do not own my home or my letter box or my bank accounts. I don't claim single discount on my council tax..I'm saving my council money by paying my own way. If they had to house me in social housing and pay my housing benefit and job seekers and council tax benefit and free school meals and free high school uniform it's cost then more than my current tax credits. Instead I get help from the girls dad, the mortgage gets paid, council tax paid, uniform paid and no free school meals because I work part time. It really annoys me all this intrusion and accusations.

A1b2C3d4E5f6 · 18/11/2015 20:59

I've spoken to a supervisor at Concentrix this evening and somebody higher up at HMRC. Both of which are calling me back personally tomorrow. It's been agreed by all parties that 22weeks is far too long to have kept me waiting.

Haggis48 · 18/11/2015 21:03

Fingers crossed for good news take care and stay strong xx

Haggis48 · 18/11/2015 21:04

Hawaiiturtle101

Well said Smile xx

forest01 · 18/11/2015 21:32

Make sure you make a complaint A1b as that is a total disgrace!!! Hopefully whenever it is cleared up they will pay you back all that you are entitled to and all this hardship is a all a distance memory...

Hawai... you are 100% correct, I don't know what they are playing at. I pay all my bills, get child maintenance every month and am getting by, if they take tax credits of me because my ex has his name attached to the mortgage then I don't know what I can do. I have asked the mortgage company to take his name of the mortgage but they said they couldn't do that, so I'm in catch 22...
