In a word Hawaiiturtle yes it's a game to them, they couldn't care less if our lives are turned upside down and to make things worse they don't rush themselves. And when the nightmare is over they don't even bother to apologize. Disgusting that they get away with it.

JBEM4 · 10/11/2015 16:05

Well I'll let you know what the outcome is for me - I have a feeling they'll stop my payments as my ex husband contributes towards the bills (I'm newly self employed, opened a new salon last month and made a total of £93 profit for the month of October and that's split with a business partner!!) and we have an agreement in place (attended mediation on the advice of a solicitor) where he helps financially until January when it halves and I'm reliant solely on maintenance, tax credits and whatever I can make in work ... If my tax credits stop its game over.
Hope all sorts itself out for you ladies x

Pipestheghost · 10/11/2015 16:06

Has anyone not replied with the information they ask for and if so what do they do??
I don't want to claim anymore after this, luckily, I can pick up some extra shifts at work ( for the time being). I really cba with all this bollocks Sad

KatharineClifton · 10/11/2015 16:22

Pipestheghost you will then be billed for the payments already made, during the dates being investigated. They will then take it from your wages.

Pipestheghost · 10/11/2015 16:31

I don't get monthly bank statements only 6 monthly as I've got a cash card account. What happens if you're on pre payment meters?
Do you know if they take a % of wages, or will they leave you nothing to live on??

JBEM4 · 10/11/2015 16:40

Can you print off your bank statements? If you're on a pre-payment meter your utility company should be able to send out a statement. It's worth sending them what they ask for rather than have to pay it all back x

Pipestheghost · 10/11/2015 16:45

No internet banking, will ring gas/electric tomorrow. Ex pays phone bill as part of maintenance. They ain't gonna like that. Aaarrgghhhh kids will be better off with him, seriously considering being nrp.

KatharineClifton · 10/11/2015 16:46

You must have paperwork explaining maintenance, send that as well.

Pipestheghost · 10/11/2015 16:48

I appreciate your help.

JBEM4 · 10/11/2015 17:36

I wrote down the agreement (we have nothing in (official) writing - if they choose not to accept my explanation the next step is legal separation or divorce .... The whole situation is devastating Sad

Pipestheghost · 10/11/2015 18:05

JBEM4 I know Sad

Connorsean04 · 10/11/2015 19:17

I did not receive a letter from this company, but found out the hard way when my tax credits were stopped. After doing the norm, ringing the bank, rang tax credits to which they told me to call concentrix. It's now been 46 days since my tax credits were stopped and just under a month since I sent in all the stuff they asked for. The reason this came about is I live at home with my day nd my two kids. They think I'm married to my own dad, this is probably due to I stil hav my dads surname as I've never been married. Ive been told it can take up to 7 wks, it's 7 wks til Christmas. I'm now really worried as I'm hearing such awful stories about this concentrix. I just don't know where t turn.

Hawaiiturtle101 · 10/11/2015 19:48

My children dad pays for the children. I didn't send in any agreements we have as they didn't ask for that and maintenence is non of their business and is it not taken into account for tax credit purposes. I have money in from him into my account for the kids trampoline I bought and a new fridge when mine packed up,extra for uniforms and a school trip to france.etc and that's my business. I sent them only what they asked for and.nothing more. Maintenence payments are not proof you are cohabiting and it clearly states that you don't have to declare any of it.

Hi Connorsean who told you 7weeks?

Connorsean04 · 10/11/2015 19:49

I'm going thru the same thing my tax credits hav now been stopped. They think they I'm married t my dad with whom I live. I hav two kids, I work two days nd the wages I do hav pays for dinner money etc. If I hadn't been living with my dad I'm not sure hav I wud hav managed. He is not supporting me financially but he buys food for the house. I hav been on the fone every Monday for the last month, my tax credits stopped 46 days ago. It really starting to worry me as this cud b the 1st Christmas my kids hav nothing from me on Christmas day. Does any1 know how long it cud take t sort out? I feel sick with worry.

Connorsean04 · 10/11/2015 19:50

The women I spoke to yesterday from concentrix. It's really making me worry.

A1b2C3d4E5f6 · 10/11/2015 19:54

I don't understand why some people from Concentrix tell people timescales. Everyone I've spoken to when I've called has said they don't give timescales as they don't know! I phoned them Friday and she told me it was with the mandatory reconsideration team being looked at but couldn't tell when it would be done. Come Friday I'm 21weeks with no payments.

Croy1985 · 10/11/2015 19:59

Connorsean04 mine took 15 weeks before I got any payment, but it can be quicker or longer like a1b2.
Have u received ur stuff bk yet

VulcanWoman · 10/11/2015 20:13

I was just looking at the Gingerbread website and it says if you have complaints about Concentrix go directly to HMRC.
Not sure is anyone has already tried this, they're a law unto themselves, it's disgusting.

VulcanWoman · 10/11/2015 20:15

Don't give up, that's what they want, that's why they brought Concentrix in to cut payment by stealth.

AngryMother10 · 10/11/2015 20:23

Hi I have received one of those nasty letter from concentrix stating I have a partner as they have linked another person to my address lol funny thing is my oldest son still lives at home but hey all paperwork posted today see what they say x

Croy1985 · 10/11/2015 20:32

I made a complaint to hmrc took a few weeks but they gave me £70 for the amount of phone calls and length it took. So everyone should write a letter

Hawaiiturtle101 · 11/11/2015 00:30

I've stayed up to see if my November tax credits has been paid and thank god it has..my deadline is on Fri so I may not get the Dec payment if they are acting like idiots. Going to be really careful with the money this month incase it get stops in December.

KatharineClifton · 11/11/2015 00:58

Hawaii, it's worth a phone call at least a week before the deadline to ensure they have it all on the system.

I'm still like that checking if my payment has gone in every week, habit I can't break from the 6 month game with them!

JBEM4 · 11/11/2015 08:45

Ahhhh ladies I feel for you all. I know I'm going to be up til midnight tonight to see if I have a payment tomorrow. If I do I'm going to have to get as many xmas presents as I can and hopefully have enough left to get some food in - if not I fear I may have a complete meltdown lol.

Hawaii - I also checked to see if child maintenance/spousal maintenance is included in their calculations and it's not so if they choose to decide that my (ex) husband's contribution is "income" then I'll argue that point. Worst part is he only pays the mortgage (it's in both names and when I'm in a position to move out he'll take over the house himself), the debt management plan we have jointly (more his debts than mine) and the children's maintenance as per the CSA calculator. Come January the mortgage and debt management payment will halve and he'll continue with child maintenance. He's helped out with school trips/uniform etc too. I'm beginning to wish he'd given me the cash every month instead of bank transfers but as I felt I wasn't doing anything untoward I didn't think anything of it. More fool me!

Keep us updated ladies - would be nice to log on and see some good news x
