Hi everyone just wanted to express my thanks to all who commented here. I had the dreaded letter in June asking for all evidence by the 92nd of July. They were asking for proof of me living alone without another adult. Did this within 5 days and received my evidence back on the 22nd of Aug. Had a call today from a guy at concentrix asking for more info and closed the case over the phone. He said he would send out a letter and it takes 10 days for hmrc to finalise tax credits. I have already had a reward notice is this likely to change then nothing is really clear I thought once case closed then that was it.

By the looks of things shells30 our time scales of letters received is roughly the same so fingers crossed you get a call or letter today or tomorrow

Kelis214 when you say he asked for more info I'm guessing it wasn't to send more documents if he closed the case over the phone??

I have been following this thread with a lot of interest. My case of working hours check is STILL not closed. I returned all of my evidence on June 12th (signed for) and had my docs back 20th August. I call them and am told system is down or it is with a decision maker or that it isn't and the last person made a mistake (basically I think they just say anything to get me off the phone).

I don't really understand why it is taking so long and also why people who sent their documents in at a date after mine have heard before me. There seems to be no real system in place. I have found this to be one of the most stressful things to go through.

No he just asked about something that had flagged up on the account that an ex had got credit for before we split and he was happy with the explanation I gave him. Said a letter would be sent closing the case and I would get my final award notice in 10 days or so. Hope you hear something soon he said that there deadline is for the end of September so there doing a lot by phoe calls now.

Well they didn't phone me, I phoned them Friday & he asked for more documents which I sent recorded delivery on Monday. He told me they'd sent me a letter requesting them last Tuesday but I've still not received it. I hope their deadline is end of September because I'm so sick of the whole thing now!

I think they just say anything that comes in there head when speaking to people it's a right cock up if you ask me.

I agree Kelis214. I am tempted to make a formal complaint. I am also tempted to put in a FOI request to see how many complaints they have received and how many mandatory reconsiderations are going though and how many outstanding cases they have to show how inefficient and useless they are. I expect they are now bogged down with loads of appeals. My friend had her tax credits stopped by this company as they said she hadn't sent in any documentation yet she had just received them back from Concentrix in the post. Thankfully it 'only' took them 2 weeks to reinstate but it took 6 calls to sort out there mistake! Idiots! (Can you tell I am so p*ed off with this).

Kelis214 sounds like we got letters at exactly the same time I also got my documents bk on the 22nd of aug but I phoned them yesterday and they told me mines hasn't been looked at yet but hopefully I'll get a letter from them this week as I didn't give them my phone num. Also has anyone else got a lot of nuisance callers? I noticed that since I phoned concentrix I've been inundated with calls this never happened before and I've got the same number for a few yrs now..... Got a funny feeling concentrix has sold my number with them being a call centre, I'm thinking when this is all over I mite put a complaint in from wat I've been reading our documents/numbers is supposed 2 be confidential!

Shells3 yes I have been receiving this nuisance calls as well. They have stopped now. Everyday I was getting this calls.

Yes me too getting nuicance calls all the time now! Have had to block several numbers, some of them are calling 5+ times a day Confused

Very odd system, they need to get sorted and ready properly if this is going to be happening more regular. I have had nuisance calls too never answer them, when concentrix phoned they called off a 0843 no I only answered as I recognised it so make sure it's not a call from them your missing if you gave them a telephone no. Any news shell30 or A13?

Well once again the post man's been and gone still f**k all this is getting beyond a joke now I don't wanna have to keep phoning these bloody people but I cannie keep having a nervous breakdown everytime I go collect my money. Any signs of that invisible letter yet A1b2?

Hey Shells yes letter came today. God knows how it takes 9 days for a letter to come! I already sent the other bits off on Monday but if I hadn't have called Friday I wouldn't have even known to send them so would have only found out today! I actually rang Tax Credits & screamed down the phone about what a joke it is & they said absolutely nothing! Quite embarrassed now as poor man must have thought I was a lunatic but I was so angry at the time! Can't believe you haven't heard anything! I dread to think about how long this mandatory reconsideration is going to take!

Yes A12b it is hard not 2 have an argument with these people. I don't know if I should ring tax credits again couldn't be bothered 2 phone concenteix, but im not sure wat 2 do, I phoned them Tuesday and also someone said that tax credits knows before we do. This waiting is driving me mad!

Yes Tax Credits can tell you when they last had an update from Concentrix. When I phoned them a couple of weeks ago they said the last update was 8th September that said it was still being looked at. They also said as soon as Concentrix gave them the go ahead to lift the suspension it would be done.

Well phoned concentrix and its with the decision maker today....so hopefully it'll be sorted by nxt week....could be tempted to phone them bk later

When I phoned Friday before last he told me the same but give it a week to call back. That's why I phone last Friday. Let me know if you try later & what they say. Fingers crossed for you.

I don't think I could wait any longer it's driving me mad.... I wanna phone them later and I don't, just want an answer. When I did phone them they answered straight away.....shocking!

Ok I've just had post & I've got my further requested documents back that I only sent on Monday! I'm in complete shock! Wonder how long it will take them to look at my case though! I'm not getting my hopes up.

Shocking A1b2 we must be the last load as I got through 2 them straight away on the phone yesterday hopefully for us and whoever else is going this nitemare it'll be over shortly. I didn't bother phoning them bk yesterday someone told me it could take another week for the decision maker to look at it so think I'll just wait now for the letter if I can hold out that is..... :-/
