Don't worry hun, I know what you mean we all had to wait. I waited almost 8 weeks. It was so stressful but there's nothing you can do. Good luck and keep us posted!

Morgan97 · 15/09/2015 07:08

Charl, they left me hanging on without any money for 14 weeks,it's the waiting that's awful isn't it. MissE good luck chick let us know how you get on x

Katharine I have just noticed that this month's payment has gone down though - what's that about! It was £1021 for the last few months, now £900ish. I'm wondering if they have deducted the 30 hours element anyway?

There's me being all "it's all worked out fine" and actually, while I haven't had payments suspended, they have definitely reduced it. I'll have to try and phone them now. Just what I need Angry

Croy1985 · 15/09/2015 12:00

Was that all cases closed by end of august as I'm still waiting

KatharineClifton · 15/09/2015 12:16

MarkRuffaloCrumble it's £810pa for 30hrs for 15/15. Why the hell don't they have a responsibility to explain the amounts you do get, and also when reductions happen?!?

I'm still waiting too Croy1985

Croy1985 · 15/09/2015 13:30

Finally they answered the phone and said I am not suspected of living with a partner, they wanted to check my earnings from work, not sure why they didn't ask for payslips from work, but they still can't give me a time scale of how long I have to wait

Hi I've never posted before but have followed the thread to keep my hope going but it's now dwindling. I received my documents back from Concentrix 4 weeks ago & have now been 14wks with no Tax Credits. I've borrowed money the last 2 months to reach my rent payments but my rent is due again today & I can't pay it! I spoke to Concentrix on Friday & was told 4 different things by one person in one call:
??can't give a timescale on completion
??its with the decision maker
??I can see its with a decision maker today so give it a week
??there's no guarantee it will be done in a week
Basically I have to sit & wait and risk being served an eviction notice due to non payment of my rent.

KatharineClifton · 15/09/2015 18:13

A1b2C3d4E5f6 Do you get any Housing Benefit? If you do perhaps DHP payments from the council could help? If they can process it quickly enough.

MissE84 · 15/09/2015 18:39

Does anyone know up to how many hours a week you can work as a single parent and still claim working tax credit?

A1b2C3d4E5f6 · 15/09/2015 18:50

KatharineClifton hi I've never heard of dhp so have no idea. I do get housing benefit which went in today but it doesn't cover my rent as its not that much. I rely on my weekly Tax Credits to pay the shortfall on my rent. Having to buy school uniforms/shoes etc last week on top of food, gas & electric has left me struggling after this long with no payments. I've managed to keep my head above water for the first 13weeks but now it's becoming really difficult.

Croy1985 · 15/09/2015 18:51

I'm a single parent and I work 25 hrs a week and normally get it

shells30 · 15/09/2015 18:54

Got a letter at the end of June another adult letter, sent the documents off... they received them on the 2nd of July got them bk on the 22nd august got fed up waiting so phoned them today 2 be told a decision still hasn't be made yet...... Luckily I'm still receiving me ctc but having this hanging over me all summer is driving me nuts!

A1b2C3d4E5f6 · 15/09/2015 18:58

Ah shells30 I'm the same. It's just the amount of time it's taken that has made it so stressful! Every week I've thought surely it will be sorted soon but clearly not. I also spoke to Tax Credits on Friday & they told me to demand answers from Concentrix but I may as well just go outside & talk to my wall. It's pointless.

Croy1985 · 15/09/2015 19:02

Makes me give up hope, no money for months

Morgan97 · 15/09/2015 19:11

Sad to read this is happening again,Croy don't give up hope I've been where you are and it will get sorted. Shells I had the same letter as you in feb,it took them 14 long stressful weeks to sort it.A1bc have you had your money stopped?

shells30 · 15/09/2015 19:18

Aye that's how I feel... Was so hoping she was gona say today it's been looked at and everything's ok but all she could say was she'll try and get it looked at sooner that I should hear from them nxt week but as I know they like 2 lie she also said there's a backlog with documents gone missing etc etc so God only knows when we'll get word. Hope it's soon because I'm sick with worry that there gona stop my money.... Wish I could win the lottery and never have 2 need there money ??

Croy1985 · 15/09/2015 19:24

I even sent a complaint letter almost 3 weeks ago, still not heard a thing.
I was tempted to ask my daughters dad for money but his not paid a penny since she was born so don't see that happening.
Would be good if they could say it will be done in X amount of time, instead of keeping us all waiting

A1b2C3d4E5f6 · 15/09/2015 19:28

Yes I've had no payments for 14weeks now, no follow up other than documents back with letter saying we will write to you shortly. He also said on phone that they didn't expect to receive as many documents as they did which is baffling as they sent out letters requesting people's documents, what did they expect? Croy1985 I know how you feel.

MissE84 · 15/09/2015 19:55

Croy1985 thnx darling well my contract has gone up to 24 hours. How much was you getting? I have one child

shells30 · 15/09/2015 20:00

A1b u must be going through a nitemare with these people I mean no money for 14 week is ridiculous..... They just don't seem 2 care it's all about them and there money. When did u get ur documents bk from them A1b?

Morgan97 · 15/09/2015 20:04

A1b2C3d4E5f6 I know it may seem a silly question but have you asked citizens advice to help you or your mp? Apparently maps have a hotline straight to tax credits, mine helped me loads.MissE84 I've sent you a pm x

Croy1985 · 15/09/2015 20:12

I was getting £81 a week. I only work in retail so take home about 940 a month. That was working tax credit and child tax credit

Croy1985 · 15/09/2015 20:14

I only have one child

A1b2C3d4E5f6 · 15/09/2015 20:46

Yes it's taking its toll now. Like I said a few weeks ok but 14?! And who knows how much longer! I got my documents back 3wks 5days ago. I didn't think you could speak to Citizens Advice or anybody about it, I just assumed I would be told I'd have to sit it out & wait. Don't know what to do now, actually feel like just giving up. I've felt tearful since Friday as I knew I wouldn't be able to pay rent today. I literally have £2 to my name.

Croy1985 · 15/09/2015 20:49

Can't u contact the council and explain the problem. They might be able to help u out with a grant or something.
I know how u feel, I've had to increase my overdraft, don't ever see a way of getting it down. Don't even have money to get to work for the next two weeks till I get paid from work
