oh shit pubes, epic cross post there sorry.

What is it they are "investigating" you for?

Mypubesarestraight · 17/06/2015 21:02

They want bank statements, my employment contract and a letter off my boss stating my hours.

I'm in the shit aren't I? There's more going in to William hill than winnings.
I feel like throwing dp out over it. I can't cope.

Morgan97 · 17/06/2015 21:17

Pubes have they asked for dps statements too,get him to write a covering letter explaining the circumstances for his blip with William hill and he's nw a reformed gambler this is the real world after all. Admiral I forgot to mention I've been emailing loads today, loose women, this morning, bbc news Granada news think that's why my hotmail refuses to send by ore messages I've sent you a pm

emilou123 · 17/06/2015 21:19

Try not to worry, sounds like they are investigating your work hours, its not up to them to tell people how to spend money you,re entitled to. The nature of their intrusion makes us feel guilty and wrong about spending money.on anything other than basic necessities....but this is wrong. I had sleepless nights over transactions to clothes shops or the odd restaurant!! Gambling habits are absolutely none of their business, there is no law about it. Can totally understand your anger but they can,t hold this against you surely...its none of their business.

Mypubesarestraight · 17/06/2015 21:22

I've written a cover letter. I'm so frightened.
Dp lost his job so we rely on my wages and tax credits.

I feel like just quitting my job and going on jsa. They might leave me alone then Sad

Morgan97 · 17/06/2015 21:28

Pubes I've felt like that ....leaving my job but its not the right thing to do why should I lower myself to their level I actually love my job but have to admit life would be easier on jsa emilou you're right it's not their business how money is spent. Plenty on benefits Britain on tv spend their money on fags drink and tattoos they don't get their money taken off them n good bloody luck to em x x.

Mumite · 17/06/2015 21:30

Why are they asking people for bank statements?

I don't get this at all.

emilou123 · 17/06/2015 21:32

If its any help I don,t think they even checked through my bank statements. My case was looked at on saturday when I phoned, the advisor looked there and then at my scanned docs and made a decision by looking at my marriage cert and divorce docs. My dad makes payments into my account for my kids at times so my incomings are more than I declare but I explained that in cover letter. Try not to worry too much.

Mypubesarestraight · 17/06/2015 21:38

They have my p60. I don't understand why they want my statements either. It's madness!

Dp and I split up for 6 months so I claimed as a single parent. I worked and got tax credits.

We got back together before the annual renewal and they said they had made an over payment of £5000. They take £79 per week off me and all appeals have failed.

I feel like I'm being bullied. I just want a quiet life without all this worry. I'm having a breakdown over it.

Morgan97 · 17/06/2015 21:50

Pubes it's a shot in the dark but have you contacted your MP,also there's a website called tax credit casualties it's got loads of info on it

Mumite · 17/06/2015 22:01

They had asked me for my car registration documents!!

I rang them and asked why and they said that wouldn't apply for me, saying something about it applied to other self-employed like taxi drivers (I am not a taxi driver).

I also said that the cost of photocopying everything they wanted would be too much for me to bear and she said in that case just send in excerpts. I did that and wrote a covering letter with note of the call etc.

This is the third time I have been "investigated" too, twice for childcare cost, and now this from Concentrix.

It's Kafkaesque.

Mypubesarestraight · 17/06/2015 22:10

No I haven't morgan but I will.

I had to payback all housing benefit and I ended up with a ctaoe too.

All because of tax bloody credits. I sent them all the proof they needed and they still screwed me over.

They didn't believe that dp and I had split up do I had no money for 2 months. I survived on £150 per week paying all bills and trying to pay bits off my rent.

I nearly lost my home. Sad

Morgan97 · 17/06/2015 22:11

Blimey is there anything they don't want to see? Seems like we're all doing their jobs for them surely its up to them to prove we're not single not down to us. It's total madness I've had enough

Mypubesarestraight · 17/06/2015 22:12

I have been investigated twice. This is my third time.

Do they pick people at random or do they have a hit list of people they want to screw over?

Morgan97 · 17/06/2015 22:17

Pubes I've been trying to survive off just under 100 quid a week,I'm in debt with bills, getting food parcels, walking to n from work no money spare for anything a lovely person on here has helped me out and she doesn't even know me,her kindness has restored my faiths n the human race n that's a fact. Get on to your mp luv that tax credit casualties say they have to help

Lynseym83 · 17/06/2015 22:18

Hi all! Just been reading everyone's situations in the last thread...just annoys me even more! I am having a childcare check. Documents sent off end of May, received nothing back, deadline 5th June tho when I phoned they changed the date until 23rd as nothing was scanned on. I got my payment today which has been adjusted. Do u think this means concentrix have dealt with mine? I know I will have an overpayment as I didn't inform them my childcare had stopped for 3 months due to going on maternity and having twins in hospital for months. So this was the last thing on my mind.

Morgan97 · 17/06/2015 22:18

Oh and pubes this is my second time with this,in 2012 my evidence was good enough, this time it's not!!

Mypubesarestraight · 17/06/2015 22:23

So sorry morgan Flowers

I'm seriously considering leaving my job. I feel like tax credit are actually ruining my life. I feel invaded and violated every time they pester for all my private information.

They have my p60. That should be enough Sad

emilou123 · 17/06/2015 22:27

Its like they have set up a system that people are entitled to, abiding to their rules but then they don,t keep their side of the bargain, change the rules, make up their own rules and say we can claim as single but then don,t believe us that we are!!!! If a change can be made over the phone, as they say, then why say they don t believe it later on? ,Its nonsense. You,ve done nothing wrong mypubesarestraight! You,ve only abided to what they wanted for your entitlement. They are clawing back £10000 from a friend of mine and partner, she said she has to think.of it as an interest free loan for when times were impossible, or she,d go mad.

Mypubesarestraight · 17/06/2015 22:29

They're taking £79 per week off me to claw back the £5000.
I'm really struggling

Morgan97 · 17/06/2015 22:30

Awww thanks pubes,I sent my p60 too after they lied n told me they'd spoke to my employer which they didn't n like you I've considered leaving but even if we did that we'd still have to wait for jsa! Don't give up luv,I know it's hard god knows I've suffered for 13 weeks if we leave our jobs they've won

babyalan13 · 17/06/2015 22:42

Totally agree pubes! Tax credits are ruining my life! Was thinking my husband maybe better to go out and work full time. But then who watches the 4 kids! So therefore again I'd need childcare! Which means more tax credits. Its a no win!

Mypubesarestraight · 17/06/2015 22:43

They wanted all pay slips from April 2014 to April 2015. I didn't have them all so I sent what I had. Surely the p60 should be enough FFs.

Mypubesarestraight · 17/06/2015 22:45

I bet people at hmrc and Concentrix claim tax credits. I wonder if they get investigated?

I feel like a criminal just for needing a bit of help Sad

babyalan13 · 17/06/2015 22:47

Too right pubes!! I sent payslips p60 and letter from employer but didn't have time sheets. So sent what I could!
