Lougle that is exactly why he lost as it is made clear enough at the point of caution and on application forms that cautions should be declared

His defence was he didn't realise he'd been cautioned and never thought of it again

He would go contribution based first, but may be ineligible for any JSA for 26 weeks due to sanction due to the conditions of his termination.

felttippens · 08/06/2014 20:32

Your right, I love my business and it definitely had huge potential but can't pay to support a family of five at the moment I could keep it ticking over and condense hours right down I suppose

He needs to get a job NOW. You would do well to, as well.

MatildaV · 08/06/2014 20:35

If he doesn't get his act together then you'd be better off on your own. You wouldn't be able to get income support, but you would get a lot in tax credits if your income is so low but you are working. You'd need to apply for help with mortgage interest as soon as possible, as there's a 13 week (I think) waiting period, so the sooner that starts, the better. Do this now, whether you'll be claiming as a couple or as a single parent.

MrsLindor · 08/06/2014 20:36

Although he's messed up your equally responsible for supporting your family, but you don't need me to tell you that.

BelleateSebastian · 08/06/2014 20:36

Are you sure he has told you everything? I presume were talking about the NMC? if he was going to lose his PIN there would have to be a hearing and the details would be listed ln the NMC website. if he hasnt lost his registration then he can sign up for an agency in the interim, im not sure but I dont think you would necessarily lose your registration for what you described, im sure if he does get struck off it is appealable.

Good luck op

felttippens · 08/06/2014 20:37

MatildaV the ho with mortgage payments is only applicable to income support I think so we won't be eligible

'spending power'? You mean when things are this bad, and it's his fault, he has the gall to keep back some of his pay to buy drugs?

His cheeks should burn with shame. What scum.

MrsLindor · 08/06/2014 20:37

I think we're taking about HCPC.

felttippens · 08/06/2014 20:37

Mrslindor I'm fully aware of my part of the responsibility to my children - in fact I think I'm the only one responsible for them at the moment

felttippens · 08/06/2014 20:38

Hi belleate - no not the NMC

OP posts:
MrsLindor · 08/06/2014 20:39

Please don't think I'm having a dig, as i said you don't need me to tell you your responsibilities.

felttippens · 08/06/2014 20:40

Mrslindor I know you weren't - you've been very helpful

OP posts:
slartybartfast · 08/06/2014 20:40

he could do driving, that would keep him sober and drugless. and look for work in the meantime. not this labouring malarky with a pot head that you mention.

MrsLindor · 08/06/2014 20:41

Has he been to a hearing with his professional body?

felttippens · 08/06/2014 20:42

I don't think so, I think it's all be within the trust he works for

His drug use has proven very costly.

MrsLindor · 08/06/2014 20:45

Then i agree he's not being straight with you, I'd expect his trust to have referred him to his professional body, probably at the point of suspension when they had concerns about his conduct.

MatildaV · 08/06/2014 20:45

I've just checked - you can get SMI (Support for Mortgage Interest) if you're on Income Support, income-based JSA or ESA or Pension Credit. No mention of help for contribution-based JSA (I can never understand why someone who's paid contributions ends up being entitled to less than people who haven't). Here's a link anyway - www.gov.uk/support-for-mortgage-interest/eligibility

felttippens · 08/06/2014 20:46

He said he was asked at one of the hearings if he had informed the governing body he replied and said no I thought that would be done as part of the process

What could he be hiding?

OP posts:
MatildaV · 08/06/2014 20:46

I agree you need to speak to your mortgage lender ASAP. Can you take payment holidays?

felttippens · 08/06/2014 20:47

Thanks matildav our only chance of help is if he can get income based which I believe we might if we claim as a couple with dependants

Ironically if I kicked him out think id be less likely to get help with mortgage

OP posts:
felttippens · 08/06/2014 20:47

Matilda I don't think we can as mortgage is in negative equity
