hi ladies, got back this morning and trying to stay awake as long as poss to stave off jet lag. Spent some time catching up with you all, had a bath, and now back on again as DH is watching Top Gear. Can't see the computer screen currently as Arthur the cat is sitting right infront of it. No sign of his brother Ransom yet, but hoping he's ok.
Loved New York - thanks to all for lovely messages and suggestions - we stayed with friends and did lots of sightseeing, and ate our own body weight in diner breakfasts. Somehow ended up in Santa Land in Macys store, very surreal with crowds of employees dressed as elves, beaming at us and wishing us merry christmas, we even got to meet santa who was clearly about my age but with a fake beard! When he asked me what I wanted for xmas i only just managed to stifle the phrase "two blue lines on a clear blue pg test please."
barbie will be thinking of you tomorrow. Hope you get some answers to make sense of things. I always feel underinformed at hospitals, just remember that part of their jobs should be to make it understandable for you, after all, its your body. Can't beleive that stupid girl showing you her scan pics!! Am always impressed by your gym workouts though!
daisysmummy I am really sorry to hear about all you have been through this year . I hope you get more support from the crisis line. Did you see the female GP and was she any better? Sounds like you don't need books but support in human form. In the mean time, there's us, and I'm sending another (((hug))) to add to the others.
sabs how gutting about the visa! Has that been sorted out yet? I know you were looking forward to that trip a lot. Will you go somewhere else if India is off the cards? Sorry I haven't joined you yet on new thread
jools babies seem to be everywhere just when we need not to be reminded We went to see the New York Rangers ice hockey match and out of the whole stadium where did the really young couple with the really cute baby sit? Yep, right in front of me. DH kept telling me off for not watching the game but couldn't take my eyes off the baby. Hope you are tucking into pudding and wine by now. Have a glass for me
heebee will also be thinking of you tomorrow. Just remember all these ladies giving your hand a squeeze (or giving you a big bear hug) when you get to the hospital. Take plenty of rest after and don't go back to work til absolutely ready
lionstar glad you were feeling brighter today. We will all pull through this, and 2009 will be a positive year in more ways than one for us all I hope.
there are so many more of you I want to say a personal word to, but DH is really going to kill me if I don't get off the computer. Will end by saying massive congrats to blue for BFP!!
Am sure this will have cross posted with someone, so apologies in advance, more tomorrow, scamper waves to all and goes to make a large bowl of porridge with honey before settling down in front of the tv xxxx
