mm1509 · 25/11/2008 22:14

Evening ladies, my homework done, well that and a glass of wine later.

heebee sorry to hear you have had your mc confirmed. Your story sounds similar to my last mc and it is so cruel when it lingers on like that, your emotions are all over the place. I was getting scans for weeks and never getting the result we were looking for and in the end the diagnosis almost came as a relief. Hope you have the ERPC soon and can begin to physically move on. It is good that they will carry out some hormone tests, it always feels better if something is being done to try and find an reason. Take care.

barbie I can't get it to play on the mac either, I did see it earlier but was going to try and play it again. Did you enjoy your day off today? Well done in completing your first application, Dubai was on the news again tonight and I was thinking of all that sun you will be seeing..........oh the thought. Just read back about you smiling more since we met and I can't picture that lovely face of yours without that beautiful smile, you are going to be using those facial muscles a lot more in the year to come hun.

daisy how are you hun.

Hi to everyone mollie,vm,sabs, vjay, jools and of course our resident star blue.

mm1509 · 25/11/2008 22:16

and im off tomorrow to! book to have my hair cut, and i might wonder around town for a bit...

OP posts:
mm1509 · 25/11/2008 22:29

Good to hear you relaxing a bit, things have been so hectic for you lately so I am glad you are taking some time out before you appointment. How are you getting on with your list? Sounds like you are starting to get all the formalities tied up for your move, well done.
I had quite a good day, went for lunch with my stepmum today and then we both picked up dd from school then back to see my dad when he finished work. It was good but that was why I was still getting homework done at seven thirty. You wouldn't believe the amount of homework a P1 can get.
Reading back you posts today I didn't realise how much you have lost on your house, are you going to rent out when you go to Dubai, it would buy you some time to make back the money.

barbie1 · 25/11/2008 22:39

yes i cant believe it either however if we can rent it until the market improves we might not lose so much, only time will tell....
Im feeling really calm about the hospital, too calm? i have a list of things i would like answers too and if not i want to be refered the the right people before i leave the country!
Glad you had a nice day, we all deserve days that put smiles on our faces....i will let you know re scotland in the summer, it would be lovely to compare pregnancies

OP posts:
mm1509 · 25/11/2008 22:47

You stay calm hun, there is no reason or point to get to wound up about going. After what we have been thru lets just start to take everything in out stride now. It is shocking how much your property has gone down but at least if you are renting it out you will have a chance of getting it back, the market has to recover.
It would be so good if we could arrange something regards the summer but we all have a lot in store so we will see how it works out, either way you always know where I am. Well actually you don't know exactly but will forward my address on before you go hun. You will need it for the new baby card next year.
Hmmmm sounding like one of my positive days here............

barbie1 · 25/11/2008 22:54

yeah for being positive! i know our paths will cross again so im not too sad...i will be here for you when ever you need me, even if its just via our thread night honey, speak soon xxx

Jools1 · 26/11/2008 08:20

Enjoy your day off Barbie

I got a faint but definite positive on a pg test this morning- seems odd to be unhappy about that !

Do I need to worry about it ? 15 days since mc

Have a good day everyone. I am on my way to a meeting in Wales

Heebeejeebee · 26/11/2008 10:05

Hi all - thanks for all your wishes. Sorry for the lack of a link - DH got home just after I posted, so I logged off..

Barbie - sounds like you've had a really tough time of it. Renting your house out sounds like a good option. Am I right in thinking you're in Newcastle? That's my home town before I decamped down south..

Daisy - seeing a female dr sounds like a good idea. I really hope she is supportive tomorrow..

jools - it took me a good 3 weeks to get my bfn last time (I was just starting to panic)... Just to reassure you though that despite that, AF arrived bang on 28 days afer my ERPC, so the fact it took so long to get a negative result didn't seem to affect that..

Incidentally, I was watching LK today (the joys of not being at work and there was a woman on there who'd had 18 miscarriages. Tests finally discovered she had zero folic acid...

Have a good day everyone

VillageMum · 26/11/2008 10:10

blue, really frustrated that I can't download your clip either... I am just going to have to go with my mental pic of you in big furry hat instead!

barbie, will be thinking of you tomorrow at your appointment! Can't believe you're bound for Dubai so soon - just don't leave MN!

mm, glad to hear you're smiling a bit now and planning babies for next year - I just KNOW you will have that bouncing mm jnr in 2009!

HeebeeJeeby, so sorry you've had your mmc confirmed but glad that you'll be having the ERPC soon and some tests too to set your mind at rest.

jools, I think testing +ve on a pg test 15 days after mc can be normal; maybe wait a few days and test again? If it's faint then your hcg levels are obviously going down so a few more days should do it!

daisy, really glad you've made an appointment with a GP! Well done. Hope you are feeling OK.

((Waves)) to everyone else!

barbie1 · 26/11/2008 13:53

heebee yep in in newcastle, but from down south originally, seems we have done a swop! Hope you are feeling better today...

daisymummy i have cried reading some of the post on the thread i set up for you, please let the lovely ladies on there help you...

jools i dont want to confuse you but i know someone who also had a bfp 14 days post mc, the result now is her 11 year old son!

mm i went to bed smiling last night, over the last few weeks i havent gone to bed wthout saying goodnight to you! I will miss that with the time difference

vm me leave mn???? never ever! i still need help ttc, throughout the 9 months of pregnancy, birth, breast feeding oh then weaning....should i send dc to private or state school. How to handle problem teens, the list is endless so im here for the long run

blue how are you today? i still cant watch the clip.....

And lost but not least, my equally accident prone friend mollie! how is the knee my dear?

I have had a nice morning, got dressed up in a dress and heels and went to the hairdressers, long over due now im back and the work begins! speak soon xxxx

Lionstar · 26/11/2008 14:49

Wow, you guys are chatty!

Want to pass my thoughts on to daisy and heebee especially, sorry to hear you are having a tough time.

blue congratulations on your 15 minutes of fame!

jools it's all so confusing isn't it, especially when you are keen (as we are) to get going straight away. I have heard conflicting advice about what is or isn't possible in the early days. One of the consultants told me yesterday that we are unlikely to concieve before having at least one AF, but that having plenty of sex wasn't going to hurt . You asked about Agnus Castus earlier, I know it is useful for regulating the luteal phase. If you do use it you can take it in the first half of your cycle and stop around ovulation, or some people carry on until they get a BFP. But I would read around on the internet first (there are some threads on MN too). Hope you have some luck in trying though.

We had the second scan yesterday which showed everything had pretty much come out, so fortunately no medical means necessary. Am feeling much brighter today and ready to face the world. I haven't been out much lately because of my bad back, but I realised today that I was using as an excuse as much as anything to avoid seeing people. I felt up to driving today so took DD to nursery and it was fine, I don't know what I was so scared of (even seeing a couple of bumps).

VJay · 26/11/2008 15:37

Hello everyone, just nipping in quickly. Hope you are all having nice Wednesdays.
Good luck tomorrow barbie, will be thinking of you.
Will try and catch up later if I get a chance xxx

Jools1 · 26/11/2008 16:58

Hello Lionstar - glad you're feeling a bit better

Thanks for the info on Agnus Castus - my LP is normally 13 days, but stuff I'd read made me wonder if it could help this post MC cycle get back on track Think I'll just wait a while and see what happens.

I don't think it can have been OV I was feeling earlier this week - I normally grow a cleavage after that till AF arrives, but nothing so far !! My cycle is normally 29 days, so I'll hazard a guess that ovulation may be around ten days late, which would be next weekend - perfect for a BD-fest and hopefully after 2 weeks of healthy eating and exercise, I'll be feeling fitter and slimmer too

This is my third good (ish) day in a row A little wobble at Paddington this morning and again when I got to the Bridgend office (along the lines of "last time I was here, I was pregnant") but not too bad. People up here know I was off sick and in hospital but not why - have had some very solicitous nosy comments but not said anything - couldnt cope with the sympathy or people not knowing what to say

Work has been getting in the way of MNetting today, so I've missed you all. I don't know if I will get a connection from the hotel (depends which room they put me in), so I may be internet-less overnight

Have a good evening everyone

Heebeejeebee · 26/11/2008 17:13

Hi all

Lionstar/Jools - I'm convinced my problems conceiving (and possibly this last m/c) were down to a short luteal phase, but no one medical would believe me (day 16/17 in a 26 day cycle). Just as i had a scan whilst on clomid which showed I ov'd on day 18, I got my bfp. After the last m/c I had my first 14 day luteal phase, which got shorter with each month, so am hoping I get a bfp fairly quickly to capitalise on that. I took Zita West vits (large quanitites of Vit B complex) and was on EPO when I got my bfp. Jools - got everything crossed (apart from legs) for next weekend.

Barbie - how funny we swapped! Was supposed to be up there this weekend, but obviously not going to make that

I'm having my ERPC tomorrow at 1pm. Have to get to the hospital for 10am, and guess I should hopefully be home late afternoon..

VJay · 26/11/2008 17:41

Will be thinking of you tomorrow heebee, I hope everything goes ok for you.
