Sorry Barbie - you asked me that before and I forgot to answer

I found the reference again - have copied here : "You should call a doctor when you go for seven weeks without a period. They can (sometimes, if they will) put you on a dose of provera to bring on a period, or if worst comes to worst, put you on birth control pills to regulate you"

That same site also says that, if you keep spotting and bleeding, then the body may need a shot of progesterone to remind it that there is no pregnancy and to kick-start the cycle

I also found something that suggests I may not be back to normal ...

"When the spotting ends, you will get strange symptoms. If you use a fertility monitor, it may say you are ovulating, but you are not. You may see lots of cervical mucus coming out, sometimes still brown or yellow, but it is not a fertility sign either. In fact, most of the time, you will not ovulate in this cycle. "

This sounds very like what I've been getting - even down to the brown and yellow

barbie1 · 25/11/2008 12:35

arrrgggghhhh jools what the hell is happening to us eh? thanks for your post.....i too have had 3 days of very light spotting, ie blink and you will miss it....first was three weeks post mc. Lots of discharge throughout the last 71 days.
I will write the name of provera down and add it to my ever growing list! thankyou so much

hi all hope everyone ok today x xx

bluesatinsash · 25/11/2008 13:56

Hi daisy - how are you today? Have you spoken to your GP?

Jools - that passage you quoted could have been me first cycle post-mc as I had a +ve from the Ov sticks at CD12 but then passed previously mentioned clot the next night so your body may be still in recovery mode BUT there are lots of posters on MN who have fallen pg after mc without ever having a visit from AF...

I had a moment down town this morning. Was approached by woman asking for my view on Christmas spending and the recession and before I knew it I was being filmed for 'Reporting Scotland' - oh lordy! Put on my best 'Miss Jean Brodie' voice but had to leave as DS was asking to go to the toy shop (oh the irony as I'm standing there saying how we don't spend too much at Christmas). So MM and Vjay I might be on telly tonight 6.30pm after the news(I'm the one in the lilac furry hat talking about make do and mending ).

barbie - how are you feeling about Hurs? That article Jools mentioned had some good suggestions...

ola! to everyone else x

bluesatinsash · 25/11/2008 13:57

Thurs not Hurs!

VJay · 25/11/2008 14:11

Hi blue I shall be tuning in tonight to see you, can't wait!!
I'm in a funny mood today, i'm ranging form excitement to anxiety and back again. It's all down to us trying again, I can't wait, but the fear of another mc is with me, but as we all know there is absolutly nothing we can do about it....

daisysmummy · 25/11/2008 14:13

just on phone to them now as we speak

VJay · 25/11/2008 14:15

Good luck daisy, make sure you get some help xxxxx

barbie1 · 25/11/2008 16:36

What workout do you do at the gym Barbie ??

I crippled myself over the weekend !! I go to a killer legs bums tums class on a Sat morning - usually if things ache the next day, going back to do Body Pump on Sunday sorts things out. This week, even pilates last night failed to help and I'm still having to lever myself in and out of chairs and groaning in pain when trying to go up or downstairs !

A 20 min walk to work took me 30 minutes this morning because my arse is so sore, I can hardly move !!!!! I think I shall stick to walking till Saturday and hope that it wears off !!

VJay · 25/11/2008 18:16

It's a bit quiet in here today, I suppose you're all at the gym while I'm sat here larding it in front of my computer

barbie1 · 25/11/2008 18:37

joolsn i have three programmes all 65 minutes long working on the different muscle groups, ie legs one day, arms the next. We havent got classes here but when i work in cannons gym i did body pump, body balance and body combat! i love it..
Today however i did a abs class, oh my gosh im in pain...not sure if its because of the class or something else which is happening in my belly i have the worse period pains since mc...its so bad im going to have to take pain killers.
Hi vjay im here as always

Hello barbie, does that mean af is on it's way?

Heebeejeebee · 25/11/2008 18:46

Hi all

Well I had my scan today and there was growth, but no heartbeat, so the m/c was confirmed. They were all lovely though. I couldn't get an ERPC on the NHS until late next week, but as I have medical insurance through work, my gynae (who I am seeing for ttc problems) came out of her clinic to say she will do the procedure herself either Thursday or Friday this week. She is also going to see me in her clinic to run some hormone tests to confirm if there is an underlying problem, or if it is just bad luck.

Daisy - I can't begin to imagine what you've been through and I really hope your gp was sympathetic and helpful.

Jools/Barbie - I am usually a regular gym attender myself, but haven't been for aaages, so fear I'm going to do a good impression of bridget jones when I return to work! I have got a wii fit though so i might ease myself in gently on that!

mm1509 · 25/11/2008 18:48

BLUE I SEEN YOU!!!!!!!!, just in and turned on the tv and I seen you and gorgeous ds. Well done to you and your jean brodie voice. It was good timing, came in thought I would have a quick check on you all and then after reading your post looked and Reporting Scotland had started, phew just in time.

Will be back on later my dd's homework still need done.

barbie1 · 25/11/2008 18:50

Heebee, hope you are ok xxx

barbie1 · 25/11/2008 19:03

blue can we watch you on line, just sat through 20mins of bbc scotland, havent a clue what they are saying!
What news report was it, come on let us see you perform!

OP posts:
Heebeejeebee · 25/11/2008 19:59

Thanks all. In a sense I feel relieved - I was 10 weeks but had a scan at 7 weeks and another at the end of 8 weeks, both of which were inconclusive, so was fed up of being in limbo. I know its irrational but I had no signs that anything was wrong, and had strong symptoms, which I didn't have with the last m/c, so feel like my body cheated me into thinking all was ok.. (It also doesn't help that my dad died a year ago on Sunday. The timing is just incredible)..

Anyway, hopefuly if I have the ERPC on Friday, then I should hopefully get AF towards the end of December and I can draw a line under 2008 and look forward to 2009 being my lucky year..

Blue - I think I've just seen you? You did very well - I would have been a jibbering wreck!(Barbie - I found it on the BBC Scotland website!)

MollieMooma · 25/11/2008 20:07

Barbie If you find it online you will have to post a link, I want to see blue too! Good luck for the scan tomorrow, hope all goes well and you get some answers
Daisy Hope you have managed to talk to somebody today
Blue Now you are famous we will have to ask for your autograph
HeeBee I can't believe they expected you to wait til next week for an ERPC, that's terrible but so pleased you can get one quicker due to health insurance. Crappy NHS You need to get the next bit over with so you can start the grieving process, sending you a huge hug x
Mollie waves to Jools VJay VM MM Circular and anyone else I've forgotten

barbie1 · 25/11/2008 20:08
