You will not find a better bunch of girls to help you through such a hard time, we will get through this with the help of each other xxxx

Hi jools, just want to second what VJay has said - crying is definitely cathartic and if lying on the sofa doesn't feel helpful any more, then crying while keeping busy can work too (or so I've found)! Just keep on going... Sending you a ((hug)) x

barbie1 · 22/11/2008 20:34

phew...jools you are back! I have been worrying in work all day! and just to let you know the sky is black (and full of snow!) hope that makes you laugh and not cry! good on you for going to the gym, i hope you are watching x factor on your new tv.....

Well work was busy today, which suited me as it made the day go faster, i hope its the same tonight for you mm bluesatin i was driving to work today and it hit me that i wasnt at your news, whereas a few months ago i would of been. Now thats progress for you! You deserve it, may your good news be the first of lots to come!

Evening ladies,

Bet you are all watching the x-factor while I am stuck in work aaaarrrrgggghhhh, recording it so please don't mention who gets kicked out tonight.
Was feeling better today until my DB phoned to tell me that SIL is pregnant, he also told me she had an ealy mc a few months ago that no-one really knew about so they are obviously happy but apprehensive. Really happy to hear their news especially after the mc but it just brings it home what you have lost. Had a little cry tbh I think this week the emotions are a little too near the surface. I am genuinely happy for them and hate the way recurrent mc takes some of the shine of happy times.

blue 'CONGRATULATIONS', it is scary hun but like mollie says the knicker checkers thread is fantastic to help you get thru the first 12 weeks. Not that we want you to leave here though. Well girls that's the virtual champagne opened for the first BFP on the thread wooooohoooo, glasses all round.....cheers ladies especially to you and your family blue. mm raises her virtual glass. p.s. blue can still enjoy a glass the good thing about virtual is it's always non-alcoholic. Wishing you sticky beans.

vm missing our chats hun but hope you are well. How are you feeling about ttc, hope the emotions are not taking over, been there hun so I am here if you need to talk. Take care

mollie hope you are not too bored atm, you know you always have us to chat to. Sending your knee healing vibes.

jools so glad to see you back, I hoped you wouldn't be gone for long. You will find a way thru this hun, just do what works for you.

vjay I love the snow and so does dd, still waiting on some here though. Enjoy it with ds.

sussex following on from last night it's 'plan' that we sponser a child thru. I think they are one of the bigger organisations to do this thru. Let me know what you decide.

daisy hope you are ok today, sorry I couldn't talk last night but post away hun.

barbie where would I be without my barbie fix. Hope you are enjoying the x-factor for me. Will be here later if you want to chat.

Bigs hugs to anyone I have missed in person and cheers girls .

barbie1 · 22/11/2008 21:14

mm what can i say about your si? nothing that will make it any better for you, however just think you will be telling her your good news soon enough!
Dh best friend is now two days overdue, im dreading the text which says she has had it...
Anyway its freezing here, zero degree so me and the pooch are sat cuddled on the sofa waiting for the next part of x factor...ill be here all night xxx

bluesatinsash · 22/11/2008 21:21

Thank you all for your kind words, you really are the best

barbie I meant to say earlier that your tattoo is gorg. subtle yet distinctive and veeeery cool. Was glad to hear you're making progress on hearing about pgs, I was the same in Sept, when there were three at DS's playgroup alone.

Mollie - your posts always make me smile - you're just so effervescent (sp?) - what's your secret? Thanks for tip re: knicker checkers. I have tentatviely joined but feel all 'new girl' again, but you have to start somewhere!

VillageMum - your Oxford hugs were warmly received . I have my fingers, toes and everything crossed for you, it would be lovely to have an Emmsy's friend to hold hands with during this new journey.

Vjay - great to hear your gearing up for bd in the new year! Is it still snowing up there? It didn't with us (central belt) but its freezing.

MM - thanks for your best wishes and 'cheers' - right back at you! Sorry to hear you've been a bit blue today. I think I remember you from April 09? I'm sure you were the one who directed me to the mc support threads?

So how were Take That? I missed it as it clashes with Ds's bedtime and forgot to record it. Is it just me or are they better looking now than they were in 1993? I saw them at the SECC in 1994 and was escorted from the hall as I had hidden a camera down my trousers (they had a strict 'no photos' rule). I was let back in quickly but it was muchos as I was 24 not 14!!

love to all xx

mm1509 · 22/11/2008 21:22

I know I was almost tempted to say DB that hopefully there will be lots of good news in the family next year but just can't tempt fate.
Hope DH friends let him know first given their lack of tact in the past. Just get that card ready and post it when you hear then do a visit when DH comes home. It's cold here but sounds even colder where you are brrrrrr, you just cuddle that big chocolate lab of yours. I am going nowhere either tonight, well not till 7 tomorrow morning anyway.

mm1509 · 22/11/2008 21:29

My a lot of posting the last few mins....

daisy it hurts soo much just now and there is no getting away from it. Right now there are no right and wrong things to do, just take it easy and do what it right for you atm. You know they talk about diseases being the silent killers but I think that mc is almost the silent heartache that no-one understands or wants to talk about.

blue Yes I was on the April 09 thread, I actually didn't post that much as I was just to scared to get carrried away, unfortunately I was right. Hope you are feeling well, you can be our inspiration on the thread. Lol at the camera down your trousers, sorry but picturing some dodgy photos..........

barbie1 · 22/11/2008 22:03

mm you will be glad you are at work and not watching x factor, the dreadful duo from last year are back, its like hsm all over again!

OP posts:
barbie1 · 22/11/2008 22:08

vm what time is your hospital next week, mine is at 10.30 and then off to work straight after i might need to pick your brains re questions i should ask....

Also mollie i need some answers re tempting, im sure i heard you were the queen of temps! so do i have to do it the same time everyday? because i get up at 6.30 on a school day and really dont want to be doing that on my day off! What does it mean that i have to sleep for three hours before hand...and finally how much should the temp rise/ drop around ovulating? sorry but im a bit blonde when it comes to all this...i think i have just about got the hang of it without it shooting from my month like last time....

OP posts:
mm1509 · 22/11/2008 23:12

barbie Sounds like cheesy central with the x-factor tonight, but take that must have made up for it surely. Do you have someone to go to the hospital with you on Thurs hun.

barbie1 · 22/11/2008 23:16

no, i was just thinking that myself...
Im sure it will be ok, one of the reasons dh took this job is to be around for me more in the future...

OP posts:
mm1509 · 22/11/2008 23:24

I wish I was off on Thurs and I could come down to go with you. I will be at work but will check for any messages if you need me. I really hate the thought of you going yourself.

mm1509 · 22/11/2008 23:28

I just read that back and it sounds awful, ignore me it will be fine I will be holding your hand in spirit.

mm1509 · 22/11/2008 23:30

Maybe you should take a list of questions so you don't forget, I am sure vm will start you off but between us we will have your list ready for Thurs.......there see you won't be alone we are all going to be there.

barbie1 · 22/11/2008 23:30

Thankyou,i tell myself that i have all of you with me, looking out for me..its only for an hour and after everything that i have been through im sure i can get through a scan on my own, just want to make sure im armed with all the questions i should ask as dh usually asks for me
Not too sure what to expect tbh, dont know if they are just looking into the cyst or whether they will talk about missing af etc...
At least from now on ill have dh with me, and he wont miss any future scans etc, might need someone to translate though

OP posts:
barbie1 · 22/11/2008 23:31

spooky cross post but look how similar we are!

OP posts:
mm1509 · 22/11/2008 23:37

Great minds think alike. Maybe they will only check the cyst I don't know but you should take this time to get the answers you need. Don't worry about what they will think of you as you will most probably never see these people again.
The whole problem with these appointments is we don't know what to expect. And yes you are right you have been thru way worse than this appointment. Actually looking at how far you have came in such a short time they won't know what is about to hit them.

barbie1 · 22/11/2008 23:51

i will take my time and produce a huge list of questions that you girls can help me with! im off to bed now...but ill be back tomorrow as always night everyone and mm have a good shift, enjoy x factor tomorrow, and get some rest ok? xxx

OP posts:
mm1509 · 23/11/2008 01:12

barbie night night speak to you tomorrow. xxx

VJay · 23/11/2008 09:01

Morning girlies, I didn't get my lie in this morning, ds is too excited about the snow, even more fell last night, so I might make a snowman.
barbie, I do temping, when I remember, I just take my temp before I get out of bed in the morning, not necessarily at the same time each morning. I take it in degrees F, and it goes up about 0.4-0.6 degrees just after ovulation. So you'll need to temp for a cylcle or 2 to get to know when you are ovulating. I found some useful info on www.womenshealth.org/a/ovulation and looked at 'physical signs of ovulation'. I would link it for you but I have no idea how too, sorry.

MollieMooma · 23/11/2008 09:33

BlueSatin Glad you found knicker checkers, but that doesn't mean I'm trying to push you out of here my lovely
Jools I hope you feel a little better today, but if not just take all the good advice on here and cry for England, you will feel better for letting it out, trust me
MM Have you caught up with X Factor yet? I enjoyed my glass of champagne with you last night and thanks for the healing vibes for the knee
Barbie I am sending you positive strong vibes for Thursday, you CAN do this on your own and you will feel a better person for dealing with it, right pep talk over hope that makes you feel a little better about going for the scan on your own, if not we'll hire a mini bus and come to Newcastle DH unfortnately drowned his sorrows after watching the rugby so it looks as if ornament replacing money went down the drain, but he will pay in more ways than one As for temping, doesn't have to be the same time although it is recommended, just make sure you don't get up first, it must be taken before you get out of bed, only breathe through your nose and fertility friend is great for charting it, they will show you when you OV and you can put in all sorts of other signs of OV etc and when you BD, it's a good idea for not wasting tests because you know if your temp drops just before AF due then it's usually all over for that cycle. Good luck
Daisy It does get a tiny bit better I promise, sending you hugs x
Mollie waves to VJay VM & Sussex and anyone else I've forgotten

VJay · 23/11/2008 09:35

MollieMooma · 23/11/2008 09:52

Vjay I love Spooks! I can tell you but should I put a disclaimer first?

VJay · 23/11/2008 10:32

Thanks mollie.
Just been out in the snow, but it's started to rain, so a very cold mummy, and a very wet and unhappy little man have come inside for a warm up.
