@BaaBaaEmily thank you me too! ☺️

Hi all,

Been a while since I posted here. Mostly been on the TTC after ectopic thread but also talking a bit of a break from MN here and there.

We're on our second month of TTC after it all. The first BFN month hit me harder than I thought, think AF has just shown up today for second month but just spotting so far. All tests BFNs so far too. Not expecting it to happen this month tbh but thinking I'm dealing with it better this month than last.

I read someone's post that they like to treat themselves to something on a BFN month so I'm thinking about something nice to do or buy. Any ideas ?

Sorry for everything everyone is going through.
Just wondering if anyone has had crazy pregnancy symptoms or if I need to go see the dr. I'm crazy tired, weeing all the time and having crazy vivid dreams. I feel like I'm pregnant even though I know I'm not(even if I was it would be too early to have this level of symptoms) I got a negative test 3weeks ago so don't think it's left over. No period yet after 6weeks so thinking I might need to see a dr. The tiredness is too much.

spookycookies · 07/05/2021 08:09

@Lililou I like that idea but no ideas as I think it's probably personal. I'd probably pop some money in a jar to buy something bigger when I've saved up.

spookycookies · 08/05/2021 18:10

How long before you would talk to the dr about periods not returning. I'm 6 weeks now and nothing. Maybe one more week? Just want to start trying again.

Blondiebrownie6 · 08/05/2021 19:22

Hey @spookycookies, i feel your frustration :( I think everyone is different which is annoying. I just got my period today and I’m 10 weeks on Monday since my MC!!! I did have medical management though and was told it can take longer for AF to return due to hormones taking longer to go down. You could speak to them, but If you are testing negative they may just say wait a wee bit longer? But no harm in a chat with them to put your mind at rest maybe? Today feels like a huge milestone for me and a long time coming , I finally feel like I can close the door on that chapter and move forward. I hope things return for you soon x

spookycookies · 08/05/2021 20:28

Thanks @Blondiebrownie6 I had medical management too but wasn't told it would take longer for them to return. I had a negative test 3 weeks ago but it could have been negative before then so maybe I'll wait another week and see.

Blondiebrownie6 · 08/05/2021 20:59

Yes maybe give it another week and Give them a call :) Have you done a pregnancy test using the first response rapid response tests? I know they are super sensitive and mine was showing positive on that for a good few weeks more than a ‘normal’ one so maybe just a thought as they may still show a faint line as they pick up low levels
Of HCG. You could maybe start using ovulation tests to track that to get an idea of what’s going on too? I did and then got a peak last Monday but knew AF arriving would be the test to see if things getting back on track. It’s annoying there is no set answer x

BaaBaaEmily · 09/05/2021 21:59

Did anyone else's bleeding start again heavily after pretty much stopping? Had surgical management 10 days ago and was down to brown spotting - not suddenly had a gush of fresh red blood and some heavy bleeding. It's calmed down slightly now and keeping an eye on it. Will contact GP in the morning but not sure if this is normal?

Meesh36 · 09/05/2021 22:19

I'm in a similar position @spookycookies but I had a natural miscarriage. It will be 6 weeks on Wednesday and I don't feel like my period is going to arrive any time soon. Normally I'd have had some sort of cramps or symptoms. I've had negative pregnancy tests for the last three weeks on cheap pregnancy tests but maybe I should try an FRER test.

Like you I just want to start trying again and find the "not knowing what's going on" bit really frustrating.

coconutlatte44 · 10/05/2021 15:52

Hi @BaaBaaEmily, I basically had minimal bleeding for the first four days or so and thought perhaps they had removed everything, and then on day 5 it seems to have started up properly! Not a gush or anything but pretty consistent period like bleeding. Guessing it's normal but keep an eye on it and call EPU if it seems excessive.

BaaBaaEmily · 10/05/2021 18:18

Thanks @coconutlatte44 I spoke to my GP who said it might have just been some retained tissue being flushed out but to keep an eye on it. I think the description of 'bleeding like a period' definitely does not cover my experience so far!

coconutlatte44 · 10/05/2021 18:43

I think these things are all so individual that there's very little they can really say that will apply to everyone! My bleeding has been much lighter than a period, even at its heaviest. But I'm guessing that just means they got pretty much everything out.

BaaBaaEmily · 10/05/2021 20:10

Yes I get how it's so totally individual, just adds to the worry when you're wondering if what you're going through is normal. This is why threads like this are so great

Doremifasol · 12/05/2021 19:25

I can see a lot you saying your period hasn't returned after 6 weeks... I am now on week 7, STILL have retained tissue, positive tests... I have one more scan on Monday for consutant to decide if I need another ERPC. I am so tired of this. If just feels so unfair.😣 I was sat opposite pregnant lady the other day on a train and it really hit me... I should have been 17 weeks, feeling my baby move... instead I am going to EPU every two weeks for more bad news... sorry everyone just needed to vent... its all a bit too much😭

Nashsophie13 · 12/05/2021 19:34

Hi all hope your all doing ok and sending you all lots of love and hugs. I wanted to jump on here, last sept unfortunately I had a MM didn't find out until the 12 week scan . Anyway I'm pregnant again and I'm meant to be about 7 weeks but this morning I had abit of spotting. So now I'm really worried it's happening again. It is different blood to last time so I'm hoping that's a good sign. If I post a picture I hope you don't mind but would like to know what you all think. I might be being completely paranoid. I have spoke to the epu and they aren't concerned but they weren't before either thanks loves x

Nashsophie13 · 12/05/2021 19:35

Realised I didn't post the pic to my previous post sorry

spookycookies · 12/05/2021 20:30

I'm sorry you're going through this @Doremifasol I hope you can get things sorted. Feel free to vent whenever you need.
@Nashsophie13 you'll have to phone the epu and get a scan to know anything. Hope you and baby are ok.

AlbiMix · 13/05/2021 08:22

Hey @Doremifasol I'm really sorry to hear you're still going through this. It sounds exhausting and it's no wonder you feel overwhelmed. Please vent all you need to. Try to remember this will end and you'll come out the other side. I know it's easier said than done. Thinking of you ❤️

@Nashsophie13 I think spotting isn't uncommon and it doesn't necessarily spell bad news. What did the EPU say? I'm guessing just keep an eye on it and contact them again if it gets any heavier or you start having pain?

Nashsophie13 · 13/05/2021 08:26

@spookycookies thank you ❤️ And @AlbiMix they aren’t concerned and exactly what you said call back if gets worse. Ive decided to take today of work as well just to rest and not much has changed so I think that’s a good thing x

AlbiMix · 13/05/2021 11:00

That sounds like a good idea @Nashsophie13, take it easy and let us know how you go. A good excuse to have a Netflix day!

Josiemmm · 14/05/2021 11:00

Heya guys, I’m after some advice.

I’m 5 weeks pregnant, started bleeding yesterday- very light. It’s got a little heavier over night - I’m not filling a pad but it’s very red/dark red. This morning I have passed a bit of tissue, looks like stretchy string. I also very very mild cramps - not as intense at period cramps,

Called the EPU but because I’m 5 weeks, it’s too early to tell and I have to wait and see and call back in a week when I’m 6 weeks. Hopefully they can get me in for a scan then.

Has anyone been through anything similar? To me it sounds like I am miscarrying, and I am okay with that. It’s just hard to know for sure 🤷‍♀️

Nashsophie13 · 14/05/2021 14:56

@Josiemmm hope your doing ok babe, how’s it been throughout the day? It is hard to know for sure I did go through something similar but that doesn’t mean you are miscarrying. Unfortunately people’s bleeds etc can be down to that or something else, and sometimes it is nothing to worry about. I know the waiting to know for sure is hard. Rest up and take care of yourself. Let us know how you get on x

Josiemmm · 14/05/2021 14:59

@Nashsophie13 thank you for replying :) I’m still here an okay, my cramps have gone now but I’m still bleeding, it’s not heavy and I’m not soaking pads still. It’s very confusing.

I’m under the impression that if you are miscarrying, you’ll have bad cramps and you’ll be passing a lot of blood! I’m about 24 hours in now and I’ve not noticed that much of a difference.

It’s hard to know what’s normal and what’s not, and how long it all takes,

I’m going to relax and take it easy and I might cal the doctors back tomorrow if it’s still going.

Nashsophie13 · 14/05/2021 16:02

@Josiemmm I’m glad your ok, i would defo ring them again if your concerned. I know my experience of a MM when it finally happened it started of as stringy pink blood then that evening the pain and blood was intense for me but it happened at around 13 weeks as it was a missed miscarriage baby had stoped developing At 9 weeks though, so I think that’s why for me it was so bad. Everyone’s experiences are different and I hope you baby is doing ok for you. Put your feet up and try and relax x
