Ralala · 10/02/2021 10:22

Good luck today @AMS19. Hospital can normally turn bloods around fairly quickly . Hoping you get some answers xxx

AMS19 · 10/02/2021 10:35

@DMT1982 @TheHotelCalifornia @wag1987 @PlantMummy87 @Ralala thanks ladies xx

Can I ask a question? I’m cd24 with cd1 being when the bleeding properly started for my mc. I don’t think I have ovulated although I’m not temping or doing opks. Just assuming by tracking my cm although I may have ovulated. Anyway , as I approach my first period I feel shocking . Headaches, tired and generally abit nauseous. I’m assuming it’s my hormones levelling out. Did anyone else experience this? It’s like a horrible hangover today xxxx

DMT1982 · 10/02/2021 15:31

@Ralala sorry you’re feeling rubbish. Yes I had a mixture of symptoms in the lead up to my period. UTI feelings (turned out not to be a UTI) nausea, tiredness and feeling generally under the weather. I never had a temperature or any more bleeding past day 15 or 17 so knew it wasn’t anything to really worry about as such (I did get antibiotics for the UTI as was on and off since week 2 post op but turned out no infection so must be linked to procedure as read others had the same on older threads)

Hopefully once you get your period you’ll start to feel better xxx

Summersun001 · 10/02/2021 15:42

@Ralala sorry to hear you’re feeling so poorly. I too suffered on approach to my first period, and I must say it’s been the same with my second, the symptoms are so similar to what I felt when I conceived it was really confusing. It does/has eased when my period arrives - just beforehand it’s a tad crap! I’m also really surprised at how heavy I am bleeding. My periods weren’t like this before, I left work early yesterday as a result. Just lots of water, sugary tea and 4head roll-on. That stuff is amazing! Sending you hugs xx

PlantMummy87 · 10/02/2021 15:59

@Ralala sorry to hear you are feeling rubbish. Just wanted to say on the lead up to my first period I was also super headachy, nauseous and just generally feeling unwell. Things did ease up though.

I hope you feel better soon x

Ralala · 10/02/2021 16:04

Thank you ladies. Not good that you all felt rubbish but good to know it’s normal. My bleeding has stopped and negative tests so hopefully AF will arrive! My usual cycle is 31 days but I expect this one may be longer!

DMT1982 · 10/02/2021 18:10

@AMS19 how did you get on today and did they give you any indication of when you may get the results? Xx

AMS19 · 10/02/2021 18:18

Hi @DMT1982 all okay thanks, was in and out within 10 minutes which was fab! As I walked into the hospital I saw a couple coming out with a newborn which stung a bit. They didn't say on timelines. My GP won't let you chase until a week has passed. Got another missed call from EPU so going to try talk to them tomorrow and I think I will go for a scan just to be covered with bloods and a scan. How's the period? Xx

My friend has just announced her pregnancy and she is due 1 day after I would have been due. That was a kick and feel really upset about it all now :(

Miscarriages suck 😢

AMS19 · 10/02/2021 18:30

Oh @wag1987 I'm sorry. My best friend is 3 weeks ahead of where I would have been. We made so many plans when we were both pregnant at the same time, and now I can't help but feel resentment (which then makes me feel guilty). They absolutely do suck balls xx

OP posts:
DMT1982 · 10/02/2021 18:32

@AMS19 that’s annoying you can’t call up until a week has passed!

Yeah I completely understand that would hurt seeing a couple with their newborn. That will be you and your hubby one day very soon xxxx

DMT1982 · 10/02/2021 18:33

@AMS19 period stopped yesterday so 4 days and was heavier than normal but expected that. No pain so good. Still have UTI symptoms on and off but no infection apparently and keep getting awful fatigue. I called EPU and they said speak to my doctor. I’ll just monitor it.
I think it’s definitely worth getting a scan just for your own peace of mind if they are offering one xxx

DMT1982 · 10/02/2021 18:35

@wag1987 it hurts doesn’t it and you feel bad for getting upset as it’s a friend but you can’t help but feel some resentment, only natural and a lot of us have had close friends of family who are all announcing pregnancies or having babies. It doesn’t get any easier as you think what could have been. Xxx

AMS19 · 10/02/2021 18:41

@DMT1982 I definitely hope so. Seems impossible right now 💔 I think it's good it was heavy, sounds like a good clear out. Mine was disappointingly light. Hope your cycle will snap back (I know you're not trying) so you have routine xx

OP posts:
DMT1982 · 10/02/2021 19:29

@AMS19 it’s hard to stay positive all the time I get that and what seems like the impossible now really is possible. Remember the initial thread you started about positive experiences after a miscarriage and all the wonderful outcomes from ladies who had suffered miscarriages, there is hope and lots of it xxxx

Ralala · 10/02/2021 19:51

Ahhh ladies it’s just rubbish. My gp did say to me though that it’s completely normal to feel roller coaster emotions and have certain things that trigger a sadder response. She said that was the grief progression and while not linear it’s entirely normal. Xxx

SuzieDeLaTour · 10/02/2021 19:52

Evening ladies! Just catching up on everyone’s posts. @AMS19 glad bloods all went smoothly, I imagine you will get the results quite quickly too. Crappy timing passing a newborn on your way in 😢 but that could well be you and DH later this year 🤞
@AMS19 and @wag1987 that must be really tough on both of you. It feels like a constant reminder 🙄 I was in the same boat with my last miscarriage - my best friend was 10 days ahead of me and to be honest I had to avoid her for a little while. I also had another friend who gave birth 3 days after my MC op which was also pretty crappy!! As happy as I was for them both, I did feel resentment and sadness at my own situation so I completely get how you’re both feeling but your time will come and these feelings will become a distant memory 😘 x

Ralala · 10/02/2021 19:52

For example my 12 week scan should have been 16th feb. That’s now my return to work date from sick leave :(

Ralala · 10/02/2021 19:53

I think avoiding trigger situations is completely normal . It’s human nature to retreat and isolate until we have resilience to deal with a situation xxx

Seasalt1984 · 10/02/2021 20:02

@dmt1982 I just popped over to the thread where I found you and @ams19 with positive stories after miscarriage after seeing your post...it's given me a warm glow of hope again after a tricky couple of days. Thanks for the reminder Smile

wag1987 · 10/02/2021 20:07

@DMT1982 @SuzieDeLaTour thanks for response. I'm soo happy for my friend and she deserves this baby as she has suffered a few miscarriages so this is her time. Just made me feel sad and jealous this wasn't my time and scared I won't fall pregnant again any time soon or ever x

AMS19 · 11/02/2021 08:15

Morning ladies. Anyone here OPK tracking? Pre mmc, I had a super quick peak from nothing, come and gone in 24 hours. My LH would be 0, then shoot to 160%, then back down to zero. This time it seems to be a very gradual rise. Wondering if anyone else has experienced similar? If gone from 0 to 80% over about 4/5 days. Went up about 10% in last 24hours. All very odd!

OP posts:
Seasalt1984 · 11/02/2021 08:38

@ams19 I'm starting my tracking today as CD10 (following SMEP which says to start on day 10). I was the same as you previously, nothing then a big jump. Will let you know how things look later, afternoons work better for me with readings!
