Thanks @Seasalt1984 crazy the thoughts and emotions we have. Strange how we can feel so sad over something we never had/met x

Ralala · 29/01/2021 12:06

@wag1987 I completely understand. I had a week off work while the miscarriage started and I passed the pregnancy at the end of my week off. My gp then signed me off work for a further 2 weeks as I’m physically and emotionally exhausted and no way able to do my job at present. I was really anxious about calling my GP to ask for some time off and she was like absolutely take 2 weeks off sick and reasses. I think we all put too much pressure on ourselves to bounce back and show we are coping or pretend everything is ok. I’m now on week 2 and one week post miscarriage and I have good days and bad days. Take care xxxxx

Ralala · 29/01/2021 12:22

I did a pregnancy test. I know! Absolutely ridiculous one week post loss. It was a 25ml one and I still have a positive although getting faint. It wasn’t a squinter, definitely a positive. I have ordered some of those 10ml hcg tests from eBay. I got 30 for £3! I am going to use those and then confirm with a frer .

AMS19 · 29/01/2021 13:13

@Ralala it's great it's moving in the right direction. I'm putting off testing with a FRER but will do it Sunday I think so I can see where I'm at. Really don't want to go back for anymore management so desperate to see a negative. I'm 4 weeks post MVA

OP posts:
Ralala · 29/01/2021 14:00

@AMS19 I hope it’s negative for you soon! Xxx

Neady1980 · 29/01/2021 14:07

Does it take long for the levels to get back to zero? I was told to do a test in 10 days to make sure its negative

Sherryxxxx · 29/01/2021 14:14

@wag1987 please don't feel silly, you were going to be a mummy to a baby that was attached to you and growing inside you. Nobody knows a mother's love apart from mothers. You may have had thoughts, decorations, pram ideas, visions of how it was going to be or even look inside your home. It's heart wrenching. It really is 😔
I cried in pain when I felt it had passed, hardly any sound came out but the tears wouldn't stop. I'm two days passed and I still can't go the places without crying where I regularly went when I was pregnant. You are allowed and deserve to feel emotions, sending love your way 💗

AMS19 · 29/01/2021 14:23

@Neady1980 it depends how far gone you were. I was 11+1 so they told me it would take at least 4 weeks. It can be more or less than that though!

OP posts:
Ralala · 29/01/2021 15:17

I was 8 weeks. I was told 3 weeks for negative

Neady1980 · 29/01/2021 15:25

I was 8 weeks levels were 90 on Wednesday and said to test in 10 days, honestly I'm dreading seeing a negative test after the excitement of seeing a positive

AMS19 · 29/01/2021 15:54

@Neady1980 that might change. I'm desperate for a negative across all tests now! Positves made me feel stressed!

OP posts:
Neady1980 · 29/01/2021 16:05

@AMS19 I'm hoping it does change

Sherryxxxx · 29/01/2021 22:36

Hi ladies, me again. I hope your all pulling through xx
I'd just like some advice please, I feel my head is in a bit of a better state than it has been. I now have the front belly that has stayed with me. I fact I can't fasten my jeans and it looks like the only way to get rid is a lot of working out at a gym (which is closed). Some of you maybe wondering why I'm bothered after I have had a miscarriage. I'm going to be completely honest, I do t know if its normal or not to feel this way so early on, but since I was a young teen, I've dealt with body dysmorphia, only diagnosed two years ago and had 6 sessions of telephone support, but it's never truly left me, and believe me, pregnancy was the hardest thing to come to terms with, knowing my body was going to be changing out of my control. But I fought so hard and I came to terms with it. And then a miscarriage happened and I felt I'd finally cracked it and then all this happened. I'm currently back to hating my body. Please can someone share tips on how to loose weight after miscarriage? During lockdown? 😔 I'm so sorry if I've offended anyone with this post, it wasn't my intention. P.s I'm finding it so hard to stop eating crap all the time, I have lost control totally 😔

AMS19 · 30/01/2021 07:10

Hi @Sherryxxxx never feel worried to post on here honest thoughts and concerns, this thread is a safe place for you post whatever you feel!!
What about signing up to something like the body coach 90 day challenge? (Not the sp, the specific 90 day programme). I did it last year and it's really good. I find I need a specific programme to follow. There are 5 workouts a week, 25mins each, and you need no equipment so do you them at home. You then get given lots of very easy to make meals. Alternatively you could start something like couch to 5k with your partner. My husband and I did it, and again we liked having a set programme to follow. You download an app to listen to as you "run", but it starts super gentle and more walking than running. I was out of breathe after 30 seconds of light jogging at the start and after 5 weeks could job for 25mins without stopping!
I feel I dont have to motivation to follow something unless I'm meant to be having a set number of things to do each week which both the body coach and couch to 5k do. I've now signed up to Emily Skye. It's still at home training but more resistance, so you do need a pair of dumbbells and a Kettle bell. But it's good for toning up and less cardio. She has a free one month trial at the moment so if you happen to have some dumbells nothing to lose signing up! There are lots of free videos to do at home on YouTube too, I just personally know for me I have to follow a set programme to stay motivated!

@DMT1982 all the wine miniatures arrived with my asda order today. Not sure my husband was too impressed 😂😂😂

@wag1987 how are you doing? I’m so sorry you are going through this. I started spotting a week ago and then miscarried on Wednesday. It is such a horrible situation, I think you are doing the right thing about staying off work, be kind to yourself and don’t try to do too much too soon afterwards. X

Enola41 · 30/01/2021 12:27

@Sherryxxxx I've just returned to exercise after surgical management two weeks ago. I've set myself the goal of 30 mins of exercise a day. When the first lockdown started last March I was doing PE with Joe 5 times a week but after the miscarriage I have found that I prefer Lucy Wyndham-Reads workouts as they give a low impact version and there is in a bear crawl or burpee in sight.

I fully intend to start back up with the Couch to 5 K as well. Set myself the goal of running 5k by the end of the year.

I need to lose weight but I'm doing this more for my mental health than anything. I won't have a healthy body without a healthy mind. I have been prescribed anti-depressants by the doctor but find I prefer exercise to relieve the anxiety and depression, it seems to be working Smile

SuzieDeLaTour · 30/01/2021 12:42

@Sherryxxxx your post definitely didn’t offend! I think it’s fair to say this thread is a place to share pretty much EVERYTHING 😄 I don’t think there’s a “right way” to feel after you’ve had a miscarriage, we all feel all sorts of emotions and think different things. Like you, I also feel like I need to get fitter so I like your idea of having a goal or set programme in place @AMS19 I might try that! I think that when I was pregnant I sort of thought “ahh it’s ok, I’m going to get bigger anyway” but now I’m not I really don’t have that excuse!! 🤦‍♀️ X

Jam291 · 30/01/2021 12:42

Hi all.
Sorry I’ve spent the last few days quite just needed it, again have good days and bad days. I spoke to GP and got a sick note for this week, don’t feel emotionally ready thankfully my boss is v supportive!

Can I ask, not to cause any upset, but when do you ovulate after a MC roughly?

@AMS19 😆🥂 enjoy!!

Hope everyone is doing ok as can be. Really tough times even tougher with the coronavirus. Please feel free to speak about anything. 💜💜 xxx

SuzieDeLaTour · 30/01/2021 12:43

@AMS19 oh I so hope you get a negative tomorrow!! I might test again today - I’ve put off testing for a couple of days as I know I would drive myself mad comparing the lines and it’s actually been a relief not worrying about it! X

SuzieDeLaTour · 30/01/2021 12:46

@Jam291 oh I’m glad your GP signed you off and your boss is being so supportive. That’s a load off your shoulders at least. After my previous miscarriage I ovulated between 2.5-3 weeks post surgical management. I’m two weeks in now and haven’t ovulated yet though I think my body might be gearing up!? Fingers crossed!! X

Seasalt1984 · 30/01/2021 12:50

@jam291 well done for getting the sick note, it's really important to take your time and go back when you're feeling ready!

I've heard you can ovulate earlier after MC but guess it's variable...I seemed to get ewcm about a week after meds, although it was mixed with brown (sorry tmi) as was spotting at that point. I haven't done opks this month so not 100% sure. Planning to start again in next full cycle though. I'm 26 days post MC and definitely feeling like AF is approaching on account of my impatience with DH 😂

Seasalt1984 · 30/01/2021 12:53

@sherryxxxx nope you've definitely not offended! Good to share. I set myself a bit of a resolution to exercise everyday only if it's 10 mins. I've got an app called Downdog which does hiit and yoga and it's really good. You can set workout time, workout style, effort level. I love it and it's really helping my mental health atm I'm sure x

Seasalt1984 · 30/01/2021 12:54

*"even if it's only 10 mins" that should say

Jam291 · 30/01/2021 12:57

@SuzieDeLaTour and @Seasalt1984

yes Thankyou, my work is really busy so I feel bad however it’s a very hands on person facing job and I wouldn’t be able to cope, genuinely think I’m better off home for one more week and hopefully my bleeding will have stopped or eased. Weirdly it almost stopped (brown like end of period) and now started again red. 🤦🏽‍♀️ Got my hopes up as that was it. 🤞🏽🤞🏽 You OV soon!!

Ahh Thankyou for your answers! After my MMC took us 9 months to catch again...

Sorry another question, with the whole investigating MC’s is it 3 in a row they will only look into? Or is it 3 MC and doesn’t matter if you have a child in between?

Xx
