Hope everyone is OK. I'm due at the clinic tomorrow for ovulation intralipids and it's snowing really heavily and I'm concerned I won't be able to get there... Does anyone know if I miss ovulation intralipids and then concieve will i just end up miscarrying? I don't want to not try. I know when he sees people on the nhs they don't have intralipids, so thinking it might be OK? I was actually feeling quite positive about this new cycle. X

@VenusStarr if you conceive you have repeat intralipids ideally within 4 days of the positive test but it can be up to 7 days. So you would still get another hit then if it’s good news. That’s assuming your plan says the same as mine, which is a complex plan (do you have your print out at home to check?).

If it were me I would still try as you probably don’t want to miss out this cycle and it’s a new year etc. But I hope you make it through the snow anyway! X

Thank you @Rebecca9876 that's my thinking, I'm on the same plan, but not with pred. I have short cycles, so I'm still hopefully covered by my last set of intralipids as had them on 14 December. We're going to try then ☺️ x

@NICK7nick7 congratulations that's so exciting

@VenusStarr he told me the intralipids last 4 weeks so you'll still be covered until 11th January so maybe you could either go later in the week or if you get a BFP. You could always email the nurses to check ? Xx

Thanks so much @Rebecca9876. We’re still going to go as planned. I’ve spoken to the clinic and they’re still operating as normal and want us to attend in person. Managed to find a hotel nearly who are staying open, but we need to bring something to prove our reason for travel so I’ll just have to print my appointment email or something. I’m getting excited now!

Thought I’d update you all - had some spotting over the last few days, nothing much but enough to scare me. I thought I’d give it a few days but it’s just stayed the same so I had a scan at my local EPU this morning. I should be a few days over 6 weeks but they couldn’t find anything on the scan 😔 Surprisingly, I’m not that upset as I think I know by now that a positive test means nothing so I’ve learnt not to become emotionally attached to them. Plus I think my concern on where the hell this pregnancy is, is masking any other emotion possible. They’ve taken bloods and I’m to go back in 48 hours for more so we can have a better idea of where we are heading.
I’m beginning to wonder how the hell people manage to have straight forward pregnancies 🤯

Oh @Jellystar23 I'm so sorry, are you certain about ovulation dates? How worrying for you xx

Thanks @LaurenAB94 it's eased off now, so 🤞 for the morning. I'd originally wanted to book for Monday but the nurses said it would be too late as I'm due to ovulate on Wednesday / Thursday.

@Jellystar23 so sorry to hear that, hopefully your dates are just off a bit and that’s why they couldn’t find anything. Good luck for the blood tests.

@Jellystar23 I'm so sorry hopefully your HCG is doubling and it's just too early or they have a rubbish scanner who missed it.

@Jellystar23 this happened to me . Nothing on scan . Hcg was 500 then dropped to a 100. Was glad as they were querying Eptopic.

It’s gone down as a chemical but it was nothing like my other 2 chemicals as I had good lines and good line progression but they did start Fading slightly before the scan .

All that showed on the scan was a very thick womb lining x

@Finleysmom84 - thank you for sharing, it’s really settling because I only have a thick lining too, no free fluid or darkness on my tubes but she couldn’t get clear sight of my ovaries so couldn’t be 100%. In all my pregnancies, I’ve never monitored progression but for some reason this time I did (perhaps my subconscious was telling me something) but stopped when one was slightly lighter as I thought I was stressing myself out. So it’s possible, that this is a chemical also 🤞🏻 Wouldn’t have thought 6 weeks ago I’d be “happy” with a chemical but I think I’ll be ok with anything as long as it’s not ectopic.

Hi @Jellystar23 this happened to me also, mine was suspected ectopic/pregnancy of unknown location at around 8 weeks. It was horrible when they said they couldn't find anything at my scan. I had an hcg of 250 at my first scan and they monitored me with blood tests and scans every 48 hours, the hcg rose slowly but not by much, maybe to about 350? Then I miscarried naturally a week later, weirdly as I was at one of the check ups at the hospital and they were able to test the tissue and confirm it was the product of conception (as they call it). I hope you get some answers tomorrow, its the not knowing that is the worst thing I find xx

@Jellystar23 I’m so sorry to hear what you’re going through. After two chemicals and a suspected ectopic I have some insight into what you’re going through and just wanted to send you love and a massive hug from one woman to another. I hope Mr S gives you the info and care you need today xxx

I was hoping to ask for your advice ladies. I use clear blue advanced digital to track ovulation and after 3 days of flashing smiley face, this morning I got the solid smiley face.

The thing is I’ve been bbt-ing for the first time and I noticed a dip in my temps three days ago and a steady rise since.

I am now super confused!!!!

Sorry this is a bit gross but I’ve attached my digital line progression (bottom one most recent) and a cheapy boots opk from this morning too. The boots opk has a lh line but it isn’t as strong as the control line. Do you think the lh surge is now or when I had the temp drop a few days ago?!

Any and all thoughts v welcome. If I ovulated early we’re out this month as we didn’t do the deed (face palm).

What do you find the most reliable way of tracking ovulation?

@Marabouchoc I would be more inclined to go with the OPK result than your BBT chart. I use both methods too and when I first started BBT I did sometimes get odd dips and peaks mid-cycle. A lot of things can impact your temperature reading, like a glass of wine the night before, or a fever or even just the quality of your sleep.

@Jellystar23 I am sorry to hear your news. I hope you get some reassurance at your appointment today.

@Marabouchoc I would go with the Clearblue advanced test I've used them lots and they've always been accurate for me even though they say you can't use them if you have PCOS xx

@LaurenAB94 @NessyT91 Thank you both! I’ve always just used the digital but bbt-ing definitely threw me this month. You reassurance has made me feel a lot better :)

Thinking of you @Jellystar23 it's so unfair we can't just have things go normally for us. How have your pregnancy symptoms been? That's always a good indication for me.
