Sebs you will not get bad news, and if you do (but you won't!) we will be hear for you

Deep breaths (yes I totally appreciate I have a short memory) big hugs

IFinishedTheBiscuits · 20/07/2015 20:07

Minnie, is it something to do with hyperfertile vs not? Although I thought that was pre-BFP... Not sure, sorry!

Bubblybubbles80 · 20/07/2015 20:09

thanks marchgirl i have been recovering over the last few weeks, haven't been feeling that great, thanks for advice, what kind of questions should i be asking them. after the bloods if they don't find anything do they call you in or just write to you.

girliesaints · 20/07/2015 20:12

Just starting my first ????of the evening (yes it's a school night but frankly I don't give a dam after bad day at work)

Sebs, we've all been there particularly after a run of good scans. Deep breaths lovely lady and we'll here for you over the next few days and beyond x

Vicki272 · 20/07/2015 20:21

emerald I am 29...

Looks like a little bit of good news on here today ladies! Smile

Xx

MrsConfusion · 20/07/2015 20:27

brummie so thrilled for you Grin for good scan, great nuchal and great care.

Hand holding and hugs to flen, minnie, march. and everyone else with cramps or symptoms going AWOL or general worries. I'm in a flat spin tonight as I'm sure I don't feel grim enough. We'll see what tomorrow's scan shows. Time to do another disappearing act from the office and pray I'm in fit state for afternoon meeting later on Confused.

seb I'm feeling really hopeful for you for Friday. You do whatever you need to get through - we're all rooting for you and will be here through it all.

claire, vicki welcome to the club no-one wants to be in - pull up a chair, get comfy, be ready for great advice, lovely support and some fabulous humour.

Emerald72 · 20/07/2015 20:30

Thanks Vicki just shows it can happen whatever your age unfortunately.

Sebs I'm sure all will be fine with you, but we will all be here either way.

IFinishedTheBiscuits · 20/07/2015 20:48

Sebs, no need to worry because I've absolutely convinced myself that I'll be the first to have a negative scan after the positive run following BFP on the thread. Seems totally rational to me.

mrsdiddlydoo · 20/07/2015 21:00

minnie prof B put me on 200mg of progesterone twice a day. I never questioned the dose and it helped me get through the first 12 weeks.

girliesaints · 20/07/2015 21:07

Bubbly, my tip for your appointment is is to make a list of questions you want to ask so you have something to refer to if your mind goes blank. Can't remember who has me the tip previously on here but has made sure I've not forgotten anything x

Brummiegirl15 · 20/07/2015 21:23

Minnie I started off at 200mg as per Prof B and then Mr Watts increased to 400mg twice a day. So defo ask Prof B what he thinks.

Mr Watts has told me I can stop progesterone at 12 weeks but I admit I'm too nervous too.

Seeing my new consultant on 3rd August, who Mr Watts has transferred me over to Sad so will take until then, and then wean off

Can't believe I am now voluntarily shoving something where the sun doesn't shine

amshizzle · 20/07/2015 21:27

I got pregnant on my first try with at home insemination. I was shocked because this came after a very painful (but incredibly light) period. When I got the positive test I was so certain that was just a harsh implantation, perhaps dreaming double. I started feeling morning sickness immediately. I was even unable to eat ANYTHING (except for Taco Bell). It wasn't until a week after the symptoms began that the test was now NEGATIVE. Elevated HCG betas showed I WAS pregnant but they called this a chemical pregnancy.

I got pregnant on my first try with IUI (clomid + hcg injection) following a five month period of NO such luck but AGAIN it wasn't until after a very short and painful period. My Betas were tested so much I looked like a junkie littered with track marks. My beta fluctuated 21, 23, 30, 12.. not pregnant.

HAS ANYONE had something like this happen to them? I can GET pregnant but the longest I have been pregnant is 6 wks (granted the betas are MUCH lower).

What was the cause, the diagnosis, the cure, etc etc etc??

I am on a TTC break right now but I want to get back into the game very soon! I just can't seem to figure out WHY this is happening!! I fear I will never carry.

barkingtreefrog · 20/07/2015 21:34

Argh! I lost you!!! Did my first triathlon yesterday and was away all weekend with no time to check my phone, then I opened my app and you'd all left! Shock
Now I've found you I can return to the app and read what I've missed but very tired and will probably fall asleep before posting back

Marchgirl · 20/07/2015 21:34

Good luck for scans tomorrow flen and mrsc xx

Kazz2112 · 20/07/2015 21:39

Thanks mrsd I'm probably fussing over nothing. Blush

brummie made me Grin at the 'voluntarily stuffing things where the sun doesn't shine'- I thought that exact thing today!

Does prog give anyone cramps when you use the (ahem) back door? My stomach seems to hurt more after the evening prog (I'm alternating) and I wondered if that was it and not actually uterus cramping!

Brummiegirl15 · 20/07/2015 22:30

Minnie I've found the back way absolutely no problem at all - it did give me a bad stomach though once and I felt awful. Got sweats and everything but that was really early on.

It does give me really really bad wind though and I am trumping like you wouldn't believe.

So your pain could be trapped wind. HTH!!!!

Good luck tomorrow Flen and MrsC

Loopy I'm thinking about you

Emerald72 · 20/07/2015 22:56

Barking well done on doing a triathlon!! Glad you found us again, this thread moves fast!! Maybe faster than your triathlon!

Good luck those with scans tomorrow x

Emerald72 · 20/07/2015 22:57

I had 400mg prog last time from bfp but put it in near cervix not back door, was that wrong? It didn't work anyway in my case and I'd pinned so much hope on it.

cloudjumper · 21/07/2015 00:01

Emerald - you can use the progesterone via the front or the back door, it's personal preference. It can be quite irritating and cause spotting, which is why I've always used the back entrance. Makes no difference how it works.
And yes, it can definitely cause stomach cramps, wind and even diarrhoea.

Brummie - I have only just now finally managed to stop it at 16 weeks. I weaned myself off as slowly as possible, to the point I was cutting the bullets in half! Really more psychological than anything else Grin

Marchgirl · 21/07/2015 05:53

Well done on the triathlon barking Grin

minnie, i would love an explanation like that for these cramps, but sadly i don't remember it from the months I've been on it from 7dpo without a bfp. Definitely causing me a bit more movement down there though.

Welcome amshizzle, my last two mc were also very early /chemical pregs and it is very hard to cope with, thinking it might never get past that stage. I was told that persistence is the most important thing with the early ones, as it's most likely that they weren't viable eggs. I hope you catch a strong one next time

barkingtreefrog · 21/07/2015 06:23

Excellent scan news brummie!

Good luck for today Flen and MrsC Thanks.

loopy I'm so sorry Thanks. March hoping it's not over for you. Thanks

Emerald I think this thread moves a lot quicker than me in a triathlon!! Grin Still knackered today!

No time for a proper catch up or I'll be late for work!! Have read up to date though!

My stats, although I feel a bit late so I'll do them briefly as possible :
Started ttc #1 Dec 2011. Unexplained infertility. clomid bfp then mc @7 weeks summer 2013. iui then mc @6/7 weeks summer 2014. Failed iui and ivf 2015. Currently doing a frozen cycle of ivf while DH is out of the country for a month

mrsdiddlydoo · 21/07/2015 07:49

Good luck today mrsC and flen keep us updated

Go barking!! Very impressed. Hope you enjoyed it.

BumbleBee0 · 21/07/2015 08:13

Marchgirl · 21/07/2015 08:34
