brummie Hope it all went well with your scan today.

loopy So so sorry Sad

march Really hoping that it will still work out for you, despite the discouraging signs!

Brummiegirl15 · 20/07/2015 12:16

Hello all, usual shocking signal at Worcester. But all ok Grin

Exactly 12 weeks today so due 1st Feb. They took ages scanning me as I was so anxious and did the nuchal measurement which was 1.3mm and a really good sign. They look for anything below 3.5mm but if course the blood test confirms the risk level but she said it was a really good sign.

Thank you so much for all the encouragement, I know some of you are in really dark places xx

Welcome Claire so sorry you are here but these ladies are the best and so supportive

Justonemoretime · 20/07/2015 12:20

bythesea82 · 20/07/2015 12:31

Great news brummie what a milestone to get to Grin. Hope bloods confirm low risk but all sounding very positive.

Vicki272 · 20/07/2015 12:36

Hi ladies,

Hope you don't mind me joining... Saw the link in the response trial thread.

Update on me to start I guess...
Diagnosed with PCOS (recently confirmed to have gotten much worse!)

Had 1st MC (missed, so was picked up on scan) November 2013, 11 weeks
2nd in November 2014 at 8 weeks
3rd in March 2015 at 5 weeks

Currently on the response trial so have until October to fall pregnant in order to participate... No pressure! Hmm
All the tests we have had have returned as normal and consultant thinks that we are just unlucky!

Still no successful pregnancy...

Sorry to see you all here. Xx

sebsmummy1 · 20/07/2015 12:45

God I held my breath when I clicked on this thread for an update. So delighted for you Brummie, just brilliant, brilliant news Grin

cloudjumper · 20/07/2015 12:47

brummie Fantastic news!
Did they say how long the blood results will take?

sebsmummy1 · 20/07/2015 12:49

cloud did you take the Harmony test and if so have you had the results?

cloudjumper · 20/07/2015 13:18

sebs No, I decided that 1:932 risk for Downs is good enough for me to not pursue any further testing, ie. the Harmony one. I discussed my results in quite a lot of detail with the antenatal advisor, and she was also so positive about the results, given my age, that really reassured me.
I have had some niggles since then, thinking that maybe I should have done it, but I am still happy with my combined screening results, and the money that we saved by not doing it would theoretically be enough to let me have monthly private scans...
Are you thinking of doing the Harmony?

Thornfield38 · 20/07/2015 13:19

Fantastic news brummie! So glad all is well.

march I really hope it's not as you fear but totally understand the worry. Fingers and toes crossed for you.

loopy so sorry it's not worked out this time for you. Sending virtual hugs.

Welcome claire and vicky so sorry for you losses. You are definitely in the right place for advice and support here.

sebsmummy1 · 20/07/2015 13:29

Ah ok. Yep I'm going to do it because of my last trisomy MC. my next scan will be at the same point I lost my last one so I'll talk to the consultant again and see if we might wait for the screening results first. She is going to organise it through the hospital.

Frecklefire · 20/07/2015 13:38

Ah ha brummie**! Congrats lady! And baby brummie's due date? My birthday!!!!!! A good sign i recon! My mum had 3mc before me and i was c.section too - funny eh?! Xxx
