biscuits yes, exactly that! It wasn't the pain so much as trying to push the damn thing in, then worry that you were pushing so hard that when it did actually break the skin you were going to really hurt yourself! And psyche yourself up to keep trying! bootles I used an ice pack to numb the area first. It worked in that it wasn't painful, just really tricky. Hopefully you're right and the others won't be quite so ridiculously blunt!! I'll ask the nurse tomorrow about them if I remember and if I actually get as far as the hospital and I don't get a call in the morning telling me there's nothing to put in

MrsC I think an extra scan is a great idea Smile.

Emerald72 · 29/07/2015 23:53

mrsb and bootles. thanks for explaining that. Do you think you will want to know .MrsB? I wasn't prepared for that today think I'm better off knowing but it makes me sad really, would love a girl, but just keep telling myself it wasn't right

BumbleBee0 · 30/07/2015 05:49

Best of luck today Barking, will be thinking of you and wishing it all goes to plan. You can do this!
I've had a few bluntish clexane injections where it doesn't seem to want to go in, so hopefully yours was one and the next will be better.

march good luck for your first scan today! Remember to take a tissue for when you start blubbing when you see the hb. Wink

Also good luck mrsdiddly for your 20wk scan! Such a big milestone, I hope you can relax a bit after and really beleive you'll be taking your baby home in another 20wks.

I booked a private scan (not at the same place as you barking, the other one Wink) for today at 1.15 as I found the 2 weeks wait such a killer last time. Will be wearing my lucky socks today so hope they bring us all luck. also going to call on my pair of lucky magpies coz I'm a mad bitch Grin xxx

Morning all, big hand holds for you today barking, march and bumble, will be refreshing the thread like nobody's business.

girliesaints · 30/07/2015 07:02

Hand holding today for March (sorry missed you got the scan sorted) Barking and Bumble.

Got my first acupuncture after work-yeek!

Brummiegirl15 · 30/07/2015 07:03

Good luck today ladies!!!

Will be thinking of you

Marchgirl · 30/07/2015 07:05

Best best best of luck to everyone today. bumble, diddly, gen and esp barking, hope that little embie is defrosting nicely. I have my lucky fox socks and lucky fox pants on for everyone (so probably be showered in money like last time - better buy a lottery ticket too). Scanxiety at just about max. Today is my stepson's (20th!) birthday, so I'm hoping it will bring luck as well and not totally ruin it for me for ever

Marchgirl · 30/07/2015 07:06

Oh,and i did my last poas this morning. Really really hoping it's the last one ever (feels quite momentous if it was)

barkingtreefrog · 30/07/2015 07:06

Awake since 5.30 for the second day running. I didn't ask what time I should expect the call, I just remember it being 'early' last time obviously not 5.30 though

Bumble would that be somewhere beginning with C?! If so, that's the private clinic I want to go to if this fails. They have better success rates... Good luck today, and you too March!

BumbleBee0 · 30/07/2015 07:19

Yes it is barking. Hoping you won't ever need to go there then! Wink What time are you going in for the transfer?

Frecklefire · 30/07/2015 07:25

A big day for lots of us today including you March, Barking, Bumble and diddily, i am hoping and praying for you all! Xxx

barkingtreefrog · 30/07/2015 07:34

Don't know Bumble, waiting for the embryologist to call to let me know if it's survived the defrost, then if they have something to put in she'll give me a time.
Daren't do anything, just sat by the phone...

BumbleBee0 · 30/07/2015 07:43

Bless you barking, can just picture it! Sending you a big shoulder squeeze as you sit by the phone. Hope they call you soon and you're booked in sooner rather than later.

Frecklefire · 30/07/2015 07:43

Nerve cracking barking**...

Sunandrainbow · 30/07/2015 07:55

Well, today my toddler is going cold turkey on the dummy ladies. If you read in the papers of a lady strangled to death by a two year old, that was me! God help my strength and sanity today...

barkingtreefrog · 30/07/2015 08:43

Shit! They just called on my land line! It didn't occur to me they wouldn't call my mobile, I'd only just got in from walking the dog after it was clear he couldn't wait any longer!!
Anyway, they are taking it out of the freezer now. She's going to call back within the hour to let me know if it's okay. Odds have reduced already, she just told me there was a 70-80% chance it would thaw okay, and was she alright to take the last one out if this one perished? Confused. Transfer provisionally scheduled for 12.40 providing something survives to go in...

Frecklefire · 30/07/2015 08:46

Why have odds reduced barking? Have you called dh about the other one? xxxxxx

Frecklefire · 30/07/2015 08:46

Still good odds mind, you know!

BumbleBee0 · 30/07/2015 08:50

Come on little embie!

Sunandrainbow · 30/07/2015 08:52

Rooting for the little embie barking. X

barkingtreefrog · 30/07/2015 09:04

Dh has been out of reception since he headed into the mountains last Friday, no way of getting hold of him. All decisions mine...
I didn't want to ask why the odds had gone down Confused. 70-80% chance of surviving the thaw then 22% chance of implanting successfully. Don't want to think about it.
