Just lurking but wanted to say great news Flen!

Sebs it is always so stressful after any loss but after all you've been through it's natural to be nervous. However, all the signs have been good so far and I believe this is your time. Hold on, time will pass and you will be feel more optimistic as it goes by.

Belle really sorry to hear about your friend, how awfully tragic and such a sad loss for your friends. You're bound to feel shocked, take it easy.

XxX

Frecklefire · 29/07/2015 16:48

What a massive relief Flen! Just goes to prove that bleeding doesn't have to mean the worst. X

Flen · 29/07/2015 17:08

Thank you everyone. Oddly not feeling relief like with previous scans, but maybe it's something like it gets like there's more to lose? In any case, I am glad it was ok today. Thank you for all your support, you guys are really getting me through this.

Emerald72 · 29/07/2015 17:28

Well appointment went well, had 9 vials blood taken, got to have uterus scan with saline to see if any scarring from ops. Found out last MC was a girl :(
He says we still have a chance of success and not worth doing IVF as we are getting pregnant. Going back next month. Bloods were teg clotting and lupus and thyroid, had before in January but he wanted to repeat. Think it's positive, but nothing they can do about chromosome problems. Asked about hyper fertility issue, he didn't seem to say much about that.

mrsdiddlydoo · 29/07/2015 17:34

Great scan news flen. Less great vomiting! It's super they're scanning you weekly.

And good luck for in the morning march. Thank goodness that bit's sorted. Hope they fit you in on Friday

belle I'm sorry about your friend

Emerald72 · 29/07/2015 17:36

Great news on your scan Flen Dr Rai said today that 8wks is more important than 12 and if it's looking good at 8 that's a really good sign x
March. fab news you're in tomorrow! Wishing you all the luck in world
Cloud. brilliant news to hear you're doing so well too, not long till 20wk scan now

mrsb0710 · 29/07/2015 18:30

belle I'm sorry about your friend. Its such a shock.

flen congrats on the good scan!

emerald it's good they're are doing investigations for you.

Midwife rang today, apparently CVS results take longer after a MC vs an ongoing pregnancy. So another 2 weeks or so to wait.

I've not done a preg test yet to see if neg. Cant remember how long it took after my first erpc. What do you ladies recommend?

barkingtreefrog · 29/07/2015 18:35

Belle that's awful - I posted a little while ago about DH's friend suddenly dying, it hit the whole friendship group really hard, very difficult to accept. I imagine under these circumstances it's even worse.

March glad you've got a scan this week, thinking of you tomorrow Thanks.

girlie got your pm this time - your surname is the same as my maiden name!! Grin

Excellent scan news Flen Grin. Not so good about the vomit. At least it wasn't during the scan?! Blush

Emerald sounds like a mainly positive appointment but no appointment post mc is where you want to be, so they're always difficultThanks.

Well, I've just done my first fragmin jab in preparation for hopeful embryo transfer tomorrow. Bloody hell you have to push hard to get it through the skin!! Shock Not a particularly pleasant experience (I was pushing so hard at one point and not puncturing the skin I thought I'd have to call a friend!!) but if it makes res the critical difference it will all be worth it. Feeling very bruised now! As I was holding the skin I could feel it bubbling below the surface as I pushed the liquid in Confused. Just weird. Made me wistful for the more complicated ivf injections I had to mix up myself - they were stingy but I don't remember struggling to get the needle in like these!!

mrsb0710 · 29/07/2015 18:44

barking sending all my good thoughts and wishes to you for tomorrow. Flowers

Flen · 29/07/2015 18:53

mrsb mine took longer last time which alerted me to the fact I had some retained tissue, I believe is it usual that it's negative after about three weeks.

emerald glad it went well today, although it also sounds like a lot to take in. Hope you're doing ok.

barking thinking of you, that injection sounds like a tricky bugger.

clairemorgan81 · 29/07/2015 20:05

barking lots of love and luck for tomorrow.

emerald pleased app went as well as you can expect xxGrin

Emerald72 · 29/07/2015 20:11

mrsb what's CVS results? I never did a pg test after MC, just assumed it would be negative after few weeks.

Thanks everyone, I'm doing ok just a lot to get head around, am worrying about asking them for results to be sent to Dr Shehata as my app with him is on 24 Aug.

Emerald72 · 29/07/2015 20:11

Barking good luck for tomorrow, that injection sounds very tough

girliesaints · 29/07/2015 20:30

Great news about the scan Flen

Emerald, glad your consultant is being positives

Barking- I'm told it's a great surname! Good luck for tomorrow x

mrsb0710 · 29/07/2015 20:59

emerald CVS is similar to amnio, but they take different fluid?? Something like that. I was in shock when they did it, so don't quite remember. I think they test more chromosomes on miscarriage sample. I also have histology from erpc to come back. I think the hardest part will be knowing whether I was going to have a girl or boy.

MrsConfusion · 29/07/2015 21:03

flen great scan news, well done. I agree on seeing GP about sickness, get all the help you can. Hope OH held your hair back during street-splatter!
barking march lots of luck for tomorrow, I'll be thinking of you both.
emerald I'm glad your clinic is doing a good range of tests for you. Your arm must be empty after 9 vials of blood!
mrsB I was told to test after 2 weeks and call them if positive, but on the occasion it was they just said test again a week later and only after that did they start checking bloods.
lost hope you're snuggled up honey losing yourself in trashy TV. Hugs.
belle there are no words for the shock and grief. I've been there. Hardest sort of death to process. Hold the important people close. Big hugs Flowers

I cracked and booked a private scan for Friday - I just can't manage this level of anxiety for another 10 days until next NHS one Blush. It's making me a rotten mother, wife and colleague.

Losttherythm · 29/07/2015 21:33

Good news about your scan flen it's important to keep positive girl. Keep it up and live the day as it comes. Fingers crossed
Emerald72 I like positive consultants. Hopefully all will be fine. I always wondered whether IVF is an option for women who have recurrent miscarriages.
March good luck honey with the scan.

Frecklefire · 29/07/2015 21:42

Barking** injecting sounds vile! Well done lady! Really coming up to the crucial time and sendinh you my best wishes for the next few days.

Frecklefire · 29/07/2015 21:44

March** will keep refreshing for news on your scan in the morning, hope you sleep well. X

Losttherythm · 29/07/2015 21:49

Barking good job lady with the injections. Good luck with the embryo transfer tomorrow. Will be thinking of you.

Losttherythm · 29/07/2015 21:51

MrsConfusion good that you booked your scan privately. Better to put your mind at rest. Good luck dear. Thanks for your wishes

bootles · 29/07/2015 22:07

flen fantastic news !!!! Maybe now you can think about getting something for the sickness? Which sounds just awful.

march eek for having a scan thrown on you but glad it's a morning one. Great big hand hold for tomorrow.

mrsc well done for booking a private scan - sounds like a good plan, and the anxiety is so hard to deal with. Everything crossed!

emerald hope you are OK after the appointment - as you say, alot to take in. Good that you are properly in the system now.

belle so sorry to hear about your friend. How horribly awful. That must be very hard to accept and get your head around. Big hugs.

barking I have found some of the clexane injections seem almost blunt - but mostly not. Maybe you were unlucky with the first one? I always found it easier immediately after a shower when skin is really warm, others say to use an ice cube on the skin first. Try both and see what works I reckon..
Sending all my thoughts for tomorrow and have everything crossed for you.

emerald/mrsb CVS is Chorionic Villus Sampling - where a needle is inserted abdominally or vaginally to take a sample of a few cells of the placenta. mrsb I hope the results come as soon as possible, waiting is horrible.

Kazz2112 · 29/07/2015 22:17

Good luck for tomorrow Barking. And good luck to MrsC and March on Friday! In case I forget tomorrow!

Brummiegirl15 · 29/07/2015 22:26

Barking good luck tomorrow. We'll be rooting for you and the little one.

Belle Flowers I'm so sorry xx

Fien yay!!! Fab news!!

Emerald hope you are going ok. Hugs.

March loving that you are in the March club. V fitting.

February is bat-shit crazy but quieter since Purdie left.

Right, a night of no bum bullet tonight.

Operation kick the cylogest is well under way

IFinishedTheBiscuits · 29/07/2015 22:51

Barking, I remember those injections. When you've mustered up the courage to stab and it bounces off, it's really difficult to compose yourself to do it again. Good luck tomorrow.

Haven't caught up yet but think you've had a good scan Flen. Really good that they're scanning you regularly, last time I was scanned at 7 weeks, told to come back at 12, and had to fight to be scanned again at 10 weeks when I started spotting.
