Wonderful news bootles That is a massive milestone! Hope you can relax a bit now xxx

Progesterone - yes, it causes flatulence, my word! The number of times I had to apologise to DH Blush... At least DS finds it hilarious Grin

I have caved in and booked a private scan for Saturday - I just couldn't face waiting until the 20 week one. I'll be just over 16 weeks. Scanxiety is starting again already...

girliesaints · 14/07/2015 12:42

Bootles, so pleased for you ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 14/07/2015 12:55

Flen hope your bleeding has held off today.

Great news Bootles.

Gp pharmacist let me collect the clexane this morning. But not got any progesterone and am worried and hope you can all give me your opinions. In Feb Mr Watts prescribed me 400mg twice a day. Turns out the letter sent to my GP by the foreign insensitive Dr who I saw briefly for the post op appointment instead of Mr watts says I should have 100mg. The pharmacist ordered 100mg but got sent 200mg. The pharmacist is trying to look into this but Monica is off so no idea how long this will take to resolve. In the meantime I am 11 dpo, line nice clear pink one today (obv nowhere near the frer control line colour) and have a few days I think of progesterone left over so can start it but am worried that maybe the 400mg twice daily is too high? What dose is everyone else on? Also worried as had sharp pains last night on left hand side and was pinky when I wiped this morning about 10.20 and was pinky brown when I wiped about an hour ago, never had implantation bleeding but desperately hoping that the pain and blood is from it burrowing in nicely rather than from it falling away.

bootles · 14/07/2015 12:56

Thanks all Smile Your support means such alot Smile x

Yes march, it's a boy..I love boys! Weird knowing so early but surprises are not something I need!

brummie and sebs everything crossed for your 12 week scans too.

cloud a private scan sounds like a good plan to ease your mind.

Everything crossed for thorne today..

sebsmummy1 · 14/07/2015 12:59

Loopy my consultant prescribed 200mg twice a day after consulting her book. I top up to 400mg twice a day using the Progesterone I was kindly gifted by Tanny.

bootles · 14/07/2015 13:03

Cross post loopy
I was prescribed 200mg twice a day but others are on 400mg. I have had both sharp pains and pinky cm with this one - I really have found that each pg has been different - that seems to be true. Hang in there x

cloudjumper · 14/07/2015 13:04

loopy I've been prescribed 200mg progesterone twice a day from BFP and have taken that all the way until now (currently weaning myself off). I don't know what the rationale is for 400mg vs 200mg. If your consultant said that's what you should take, I would.

Frecklefire · 14/07/2015 13:07

So pleased for you bootles!!! And a boy too - whoopie!!!GrinGrinGrin

loopy I'm on 2 x 400mg progesterone. I've had lots of sharp twinges/pains and I think it's just everything expanding. Implantation sounds reasonable too though.

Yey for team blue Bootles! Smile

bootles that is wonderful news! I'm so happy for you Smile

Brummiegirl15 · 14/07/2015 13:33

Loopy I took 200mg from 7 days post ovulation and then changed to 400mg from BFP (as prescribed by Mr Watts)

Another secretary you could speak to is Gaynor Jenkins who was copied on my emails from Monica about my op. But I think she's the secretary for another consultant

Or you could ring Julie Brassington or Dawn Bradley in the EPAU and they can speak to Mr Watts directly

They sorted out my clexane prescription from Mr W

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 14/07/2015 13:37

Re progesterone maybe I wasn't clear. My consultant Mr Watts said 400mg twice a day, and that's what I was prescribed in feb. Have a few left. Foreign bloke who I saw in June (when I was meant to see my consultant and didn't know I would be seeing anyone else until they called my name in the waiting room) never told me they were making any changes to the treatment Mr Watts had previously prescribed. But the letter to the GP is 1/4 of the dose, 100mg twice daily instead of the 400mg, which hasn't been discussed with me or explained at all as to why it's so much less. Don't know if a mistake or intentional....

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 14/07/2015 13:38

Brummie crossed posts. Do you have contact details for the Julie's or that other secretary? Got to dash to nursery now but keen to chase this today.

Belleende · 14/07/2015 13:40

Woo hooo bootles what a day for you! The relief is almost overwhelming isn't it? Today you are a normal pregnant lady (repeat). And good luck to you too thorne

cloud whatever it takes to get you through with the most amount of sanity in tact. I got a doppler in the end, but I was being beautifully reassured by listening to the placenta - not the baby, so I can't say I would recommend them!

march and flen thinking about you both. I hope things are looking better for you both.

This thread really is amazing for how joy and heartbreak sit alongside eachother, and for how both outcomes are supported with equal sensitivity and compassion. It is a constant reminder of just how amazing women can be

Hope your bleeding had stopped again flen. More spotting and cramping since lunchtime for me. Desperately hoping it's breakthrough bleeding as af is due today. Going to just start prog tonight in the hope it calms it down.

Brummiegirl15 · 14/07/2015 14:17

Loopy

Here you go. Gaynor Jenkins is obs & gynae secretary, not sure if she covers Mr Watts but if not she will be able to advise another secretary I'm sure.

Or speak to Julie Brassington or Dawn Bradley in EPAU on 01905 733060 - Julie Barley is currently on sick leave and Dawn has taken over for time being

BumbleBee0 · 14/07/2015 14:29

I also thought progesterone only came in 200 or 400 loopy.

Sorry the bleeding has started again march. Got my fingers crossed it will ease. Yes might be a good idea to start the progesterone today and that may calm the bleeding too. X

OP posts:
Flen · 14/07/2015 15:07

Oh march I'm sorry to hear that. I've doubled up my progesterone since yesterday (was taking half prescribed dose due to side effects). So far, only old blood today although still cramps. Just so want to hang on til the scan tomorrow...

Marchgirl · 14/07/2015 15:13

Keeping everything crossed for you flen. Really hope you'll see a flickering hb tomorrow x

Bum bullets it is from tonight then. Hate them!

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 14/07/2015 15:14

Hope the bleeding buggers off again March.

Thanks Brummie you are a star. I Spoke to a Christine there who is someone's secretary, but she couldn't help so I ended up speaking to Julie. She confirmed that Mr Watts prescription of 400mg is correct and foreign doctor is a numpty. she is going to get Mr watts to write to GP confirming correct dose. Apparently quite a few doctors prescribe 100mg but Mr Watts favours a higher dose in line with the coventry protocol. She also booked me in for a scan on 4/8, told her I didn't want to tempt fate by booking one just yet but she said she needs one doing as I'm on clexane from today. I then spoke to the pharmacist at the GP's and she is going to order the 400mg in ready for me, so they can give me them as soon as they get a letter from Mr watts, so hopefully I will have some by the time mine run out on the morning of the 29th, I didn't realise until I counted them this afternoon but I have 2 weeks supply left so I can relax for now. Just went to the loo and nothing at all when I wiped so am keeping fingers crossed it was just a tiny implantation bleed. It's ridiculous how quickly I become attached to each one, and how much I am willing this one to hang on in there.
