longest thinking of you.....

bootles · 05/06/2015 07:32

spam, I am so sorry that you are having to wait so long for results. As pop says, hopefully there is someone you can contact at the hospital, and hopefully they gave you the contacts of relevant/groups, organisations. My heart goes out to you and pop, and I feel helpless at not having sufficient words, or any advice. pops advice sounds good, and she speaks from experience. I do hope you are getting somewhere with some counselling. How are your ds's at the moment? Xx

cat I am also tall and slim and it definitely makes for a smaller bump. And tbe measurement is notoriously unreliable. They told me mine was small too, and ds was a healthy weight and now a tall strapping boy. Even if it was measuring on target until now, the baby could have moved into a different position, changing the bump size. It means an extra peek inside, and that's good. Try not to worry x

longest hope its going okay lovely, glad things got started x

bootles · 05/06/2015 07:41

girlie your epu have made me cross on your behalf - that's really not good enough. Hope they get you in soon to the RMC.

Those stats are shocking. I wonder how accurate they are... Am stressing because I ovulated on day 17 with this one, and got a bfp later than usual, so maybe bit of a late implantation. I think sticking my head in the sand and getting through to Wednesday (scan) is my best bet.

Brummiegirl15 · 05/06/2015 07:41

Morning all

Longest this is very exciting!!!!

I'm only 5ft and a size 14 and I'm a bit concerned I'd be all bump!!!

Delighted to announce that baby Beth is here safe and well. She arrived in a bit of a rush in the end at 3am. 7lb 13oz. Thank you all so much for your support. I honestly couldn't have managed without you. Hoping with all my heart that you all get your rainbow babies too.

Finally got the date for my nuchal screening scan which is week after next when I'll be 13+2. Can't wait that long so booked another private one for Sunday. Dh even said he might come. Today I've officially got further than last time. It's been a long 8 weeks to get here. Still panicking like a lunatic

bootles · 05/06/2015 08:31

Catlover2014 · 05/06/2015 08:32

Welcome to the world baby Beth, what a beautiful name for an amazing baby girl! Well done mummy Longest you have made it!! Hope you're feeling ok and will be home with your beautiful bundle soon.

Brummie how are you feeling? You're going to look beautiful with bump. Is it scan today or next Friday?

Thanks Bootles. Feel better about it all today, it's my unique little bump and that's all that matter. Not sure I believe that later ovulation means an issue is more likely btw. My friend has very long cycles and is sure she ovulated on day 28 with her little girl who was born a month ago.

X

sebsmummy1 · 05/06/2015 08:34

Oh that's absolutely fantastic longest. What a beautiful name (was going to be my forename but my Mum decided to allow the midwife to name me). The only Beth I've ever known was the nicest, kindest, cleverest woman who recently had a beautiful little girl after a long wait. Fabulous and can't wait to see the photo on the photo thread Grin

Received a letter yesterday giving me some of my test results from the RMC. I think it was Lupus and some other ones. Anyway they were all normal so that was good. I think they are waiting on some others - possibly the genetic ones.

Catlover2014 · 05/06/2015 08:35

MrsD you will feel so much better once the nuchal scan is behind you and I totally don't blame you for having a reassurance one this weekend to tie you over. I'm sure all will be fine and it's nice to have the peace of mind. We're all here for you Smile xxxx

Lovemylittlebear · 05/06/2015 08:59

twilightstruggle · 05/06/2015 09:41

Huge congratulations Longest. Very pretty name. Big hugs to all the family.

I can't do a full catch up unfortunately as at work but want your advice on something. My current manager has just emailed me saying she's sent back the reference to my new job. She's included all my sickness over the course of my time here which is '19 days over 7 episodes'. This covers 20 months and includes 3 miscarriages and the septum op so is actually fairly good all things considered, but now am panicking about what the fuck I'm going to say if new job comes back to me about it. Help. Do I pre-empt in some way. Was she even supposed to include it?!

Marchgirl · 05/06/2015 09:47

Are you at Coventry this afternoon twilight? Or is it Monday? Good luck if you are! Really glad your results will work or time wise so you can ttc next month Smile

twilightstruggle · 05/06/2015 09:50

Monday Smile

cloudjumper · 05/06/2015 09:51

twilight Well, I don't think that she was right to include it. Any sickness/time-off due to pregnancy-related issues does not count towards your sickness days, and should not come up on your records (as far as I know). Can you speak to her or HR about this? Maybe they could send off an amended record, saying that they made a mistake?

Justonemoretime · 05/06/2015 09:54

Welcome Beth! Congratulations, Longest!

Twilight, I think they used to have to give sick leave on references but I have a funny feeling that the law changed and now they don't or shouldn't... check with her rules? I can't remember what you do, but I had a similar issue in teaching a few years ago with MCs 1 and 2 racking up a lot of time off with repeat erpcs etc. If the new employer does make an issue I'd query the grounds for doing so (ie, what if you'd had a sports injury needing an operation, or been in an accident, would that count against you? If no, then surely to count it mc as a problem is discrimination?) Good luck!
