Shall I go first?

Me & dh 37. One Dd born 2011 at first attempt. Ttc since Jan 14, three mcs between Feb & Sept 14. Between 6 & 9 wks. Currently bfp and 6+ 6 wks. Experiencing bleeding today and after
Scan disappointing last week, not that hopeful.

That said bleeding seems to have stopped for moment, which is at odds with last MC.

Wow lots of news on unuk cells this afternoon. Big hugs as must be a shock but knowing the reputation of Coventry, hopefully you're in safe hands.

Baking, thanks for the info. I'll certainly be taking with me on wed in case of bad news.

Purple, wow can't believe you're almost there. Will be checking in for updates.

Welcome to the newbies. You've joined the best group of ladies you can ever imagine.

Thanks for the positive words today and for the past week. Means a lot and hopefully I'll stop hogging space soon.

Flen · 11/05/2015 17:48

Gosh, big news about uNK cells. Hope for you ladies there is something useful in that, maybe an explanation, maybe some sense of a "reason" and something hopeful about moving forward with treatment?

girlie hugs to you lovely, hope you are bearing up.

My sister had her baby today, a boy. I feel some sense of relief since I've been waiting for it to happen, also because it a) didn't fall on Oh's birthday (tomorrow) and b) didn't fall on our due date on Friday. I have some very mixed feelings, real sense of what might have been happening this week had things turned out differently. Had a big cry at lunchtime.

My stats: me 36, oh 35. mc1 missed miscarriage at 12.5 weeks in Dec 2007, mc2 full miscarriage at 11.5 weeks April 2014, mc3 missed miscarriage at 9.5 weeks October 2014. We are currently in fourth month of ttc.

girliesaints · 11/05/2015 18:04

Flen big hugs. Know from first hand experience it's not easy when a sibling has a child when the other is having problems. In my case it's the other way round and I had DD when my sister found out her first round of IVF had failed. It's taken a long time and I've tried to be sensitive to her but she's now my dd's favourite Auntie. Hope you find a similar way forward and of course get your dream x

Thanks for the new thread, Girlie, sorry to hear about the spotting, though. Hope you get some answers (and they are not as you fear).
Lots of uNK results today. Hope you get some reassurance in your phone consultations.
Baking, your article from the previous thread was really interesting.
I'm OK, miniJust is pretty much incapacitating me now. Still getting a bit of brown spotting, but no fresh bleeds so I'm staying out of hospital until Thursday when I have a scan by the consultant. Hopefully I'll get a better idea of the 'plan' after that.
Purple and Longest, very exciting!!

Sunandrainbow · 11/05/2015 18:30

Thanks for new thread and stats lovelies.

Me: 38, dh 37, 4 mc from April 2014 to April 2015. Currently 5+5 with no symptoms and clearblue digi showing 2-3 so already behind where should be. Taking progesterone, pred for high nk cells and aspirin, just because. Head firmly in the sand but contemplating booking private scan as rmc can't scan me until 8 weeks as sonographer is on holiday. x

Brummiegirl15 · 11/05/2015 18:31

Thanks for new thread bythesea

Woah big news from Coventry today. All of you high nk cells. Hoping you are all doing ok with news.

Purple how bloody exciting!!! Waiting for your announcement

Me 38, DP 45 been ttc'ing since April 14 - no dc's
Mc 1 at 5 weeks in May 14
Mc 2 at 8.5 weeks in August 14 ERPC
Mc 3 at 9 weeks January 15 after seeing heartbeat at 7 weeks. ERPC. Took baby aspirin for that one, didn't work.

Have seen my consultant Mr Watts at Worcester and all tests have come back clear. Had hysteroscopy 2 weeks ago, completely clear with no scarring.

Have also been to Coventry and results for lining were only 2.5% which was under the level causing problems for high uNK cells.

So basically absolutely nothing wrong with me, which I've found a bit of a struggle to accept. Been told by both Mr Watts and Prof Brosens at Coventry that I should be taking progesterone and heparin for next time.

So am currently back on the wagon and on my first 2ww since November. Already imagining symptoms which is crazy considering I've only just ovulated .

Have question about my progesterone. I got a positive smiley face on Saturday night so when do I start the progesterone? Do I count Sunday as 1 dpo and start it on Saturday. Or did I ovulate on Sunday and count today as 1 dpo and start Sunday?

I'm reading far too much into this I know ....

Also struggling with heavily pregnant colleague . Had to sign her leaving card today. Put it off for as long as I could but had to bite the bullet and sign today. Had to fight back the tears afterwards. Felt so bitter and resentful and sad.

Marchgirl · 11/05/2015 18:32

Big hugs flen. What a difficult week for you. I know what you mean about the relief that the baby is born. I felt similarly when my friend's ds was born (although obv not nearly as difficult as your situation). I think sometimes the anticipation is worse.

Glad the spotting has stopped girlie. Hope it stays away

Sunandrainbow · 11/05/2015 18:37

girlie - so pleased spotting has stopped. x

Minnie74 · 11/05/2015 18:42

Thanks for the thread sea reading all the stats is a bit emotional- it's a long list of sadness but with hope at the bottom.

My stats
Me 40 Dh 42
Mc1 at 6 weeks 2010 natural
DS born 2011
Mc2 at 6 weeks Aug 2014 natural
Mc3 at 12 weeks Mar 2015 heartbeat at 10 weeks found to have ' brain and facial abnormalities' when tested after medical management.

Local RMC consultant blamed age and prescribed high dose folic acid and aspirin before BFP (which I'm not taking yet as read mixed reports) Going to Coventry on Monday!!! Grin

girlie so sorry about the bleeding- glad it's stopped now- and realky hope it's nothing. Can't believe they're refusing to test (my Epu suggested it when they knew I'd had three- postcode lottery is so bloody unfair!) not surprised they wouldn't bring scan forward- mine are strict on the scanning dates too. Keeping everything crossed for you. X

jady thinking of you and your scan

cheesy march sorry you've had the results you didn't want about the nk cells but with Coventrys treatment plan the chances of success must be pretty damn good now you know. Weird to get your head round though I'm sure. (I feel like I've missed someone else on this- sorry if I have)

brummie I really know how you feel about dh's dtd issue. We went through a few months of the exact same thing once we'd been trying for a good few months. I didn't handle it well initially (basically crying/moaning about it!Blush) which really didn't help. I had to make a huge effort to have sex when we weren't ttc as I think he just felt that's all I wanted him for. For mc3 I just never mentioned ov but just tried to dtd every other day for that week. Seemed to work. You really have my sympathy cos it's really hard not to get fed up about it!

Looking forward to all the new thread baby announcements purple longest cat (again sorry if I've missed someone there- can't look at the other thread as on phone!)

flen glad your dsis avoided the dates important to you. And big hugs because it's bloody hard! Your time will come, I'm sure of it xx

Waves to everyone else xx

Justonemoretime · 11/05/2015 18:46

Bythesea, I meant to thank you for the thread Blush

Marchgirl · 11/05/2015 18:46

Me 37. Dp 44. DD born Aug 12. Normal, naive pregnancy.
4MC between Jan 14 and Feb 15:
mmc@12wks (measured 6wks)
Natural mc@8 wks (measured 5wks)
mmc@8 wks after hb seen at 7
Natural mc @5 wks
Standard rmc tests and karyotyping normal.
No result on genetic testing for foetus 3.
Week to Coventry 4 weeks ago and results have come back today, showing an abnormal level of uNK cells (7.9%). Phone consultation is tomorrow so hopefully will find out more then.
Feeling very mixed emotions as I'm glad to have a diagnosis and potentially a treatment, but gutted to think that potentially the last loss could have been avoided Sad.
Now in tww and preparing for the potential fight with gp over prescribing the steroids if/when I get a bfp, as consultant has already told me she will not prescribe them, even with the letter from Coventry, so gp is my last resort.

Jady77 · 11/05/2015 18:59

Quick update. On way home now. Scan went well, could see gestational sac and yolk so now have all the meds, clexane, more progesterone and prednisolone. Need scan in 2 weeks. Consult tomorrow eve so should get letter from Prof Broseley then to give to GP, EPU etc with hope to get scans, prescriptions more locally in future. Just hoping hoping hoping it's not too late.

Glad the bleeding stopped Girlie Hope it stays that way!

Big hugs Flen. Hope the excitement in the family settles now.

Stats...
Me 37, DP46
2 x Mc's around 6 weeks, Oct '14 & Jan' 15, natural and erpc.
Tested clear for NHS blood clotting issues.
Tested normal for thyroid antibodies for TABLET trial.
Tested high for high uNK at Coventry.
Currently 5+2 weeks pregnant.
Been on progesterone since ovulation, clexane from today and prednisolone from tomorrow morning.

Early days yet March. Fingers crossed for you and everyone else in tww.

Brummiegirl15 · 11/05/2015 19:02

Yay Jady great news!!!

Jady77 · 11/05/2015 19:04

Cross post March, that is rubbish of your consultant! Really hope GP is more helpful, also could you ask to see another consultant? That's what I'm trying to do at the mo.

Thanks for new thread too Bythesea

Also meant to say that my hunch of implanting on the right hand side was right. Been getting more pain to the right this time whereas previous 2 were on left. Was kinda reassuring that I felt like I knew what my body was doing.

Justonemoretime · 11/05/2015 19:17

Jady, glad scan went well. Grin Grin
Cat, meant to say, sorry to hear your work isn't as supportive as you'd wish for. You're on the count down to mat leave now. I've got 9 days to go... really weird to get my head around it. Confused
Flen, hope the reality is easier than the anticipation. Your turn next. In the meantime, Wine x

tannyLoo · 11/05/2015 19:23

Jady that's brilliant news! X

Marchgirl · 11/05/2015 19:24

Meant to say, jady, glad you got your results. It's a weird feeling of relief, sadness and concern about what the future holds for me. I'm sure you're feeling similar. Hope the scan has gone well x

Marchgirl · 11/05/2015 19:26

Cross posts jady, I must learn to refresh! Brilliant news on the scan. So pleased for you. Grin

CheesyMash · 11/05/2015 20:02

Thanks for the new thread bythesea and glad to hear everything is going well.

Great news on your scan jady Smile and glad you're all sorted with your meds now. Not sure if it's any consolation but when I saw prof B I mentioned about taking press late as i was due to be on holiday just after a potential BFP and he said it would be fine to take them a week later so hopefully it's not an issue for you too.

Thanks for the details and risks on pred baking. Also, the link you posted is interesting, makes me wonder if this links in with my blood clotting disorder. Interesting that it can be caused by the males genes too.

Those are the feelings I have too march although I had already accepted that mc1 may have been caused by my fvl disorder which gave me some closure, now I'm not sure how to feel about it...Confused. It's crap what your consultant said, I would def try your gp. When I looked at the cost of these meds on a private prescription, I'm sure pred was very cheap, like pennies per tablet so maybe this is an option. (I don't really know how private prescriptions tho tbh but prof B mentioned this as a worst case if my gp wouldn't prescribe).

Sorry you're having a tough time flen but glad your due date hasn't had to be shared with others close by. I agree that your time will come soon. Flowers

mrsdiddlydoo · 11/05/2015 20:03

Thanks for the new thread bythesea

Great news about the scan and meds jady. Bet you left with a big bag of drugs Wink

flen you definitely deserve a large glass of Wine or 2 for getting through this week. I'm pleased the important dates were missed but understand what a trigger it all must be. Hope you are being kind to yourself.

After a run of normal Coventry results it seems right for there to be a run of higher than normals. Hope you ladies are feeling ok and your phone consultations go well.

march hope your gp is helpful. It's so stressful getting things sorted. Completely crap your consultant won't help. I mean... What is the point if their existence if they can't help you when it's something you want to do.

I feel shite this evening. Think I'd feel better if I was actually sick. Can't decide if its the pregnancy or my anxiousness. I've been stupidly emotional today worrying about all sorts of things. Bad dream about mc last night hasn't helped. I don't know how I will get through the next few weeks.

Stats:

34, dh 33, 1ds 26months. Ttc#2 since Oct 2013. Natural mc end April 14 @ 10 wks. Eprc end Nov 14 at 11+5. Currently 8+2 wks pregnant. On Coventry protocol for normal unk cells, i.e. progesterone and heparin.

Marchgirl · 11/05/2015 20:07

I think it is very cheap cheesy. Hoping not to mention to gp that consultant has refused and just tell her that it takes 4 weeks to get an appointment with her (all true), which would be too late.
Do you know if your fvl could have caused an immune response and that's what the nk cells could be picking up?

Flen · 11/05/2015 20:20

Article in the Guardian writing up a miscarriage study, maybe a useful sort of a thing to share with friends/family etc. Trigger warning though: scan pic at the top... www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2015/may/11/misconceptions-miscarriage-boost-guilt-shame-feeling-study

Thank you for all your support. Sadly I am off alcohol, been hitting the Pringles like there's no tomorrow though.
