mrsC good luck today. Thought it was coming up soon. Hope they are helpful x

bakingtins · 21/04/2015 07:16

Good luck MrsC

brummie what a bummer. I hope you start to feel better over the next few days. I think ( assuming you are not ov right now) taking a few days to decide what to do about TTC is good advice.

sebsmummy1 · 21/04/2015 07:33

Cd6 today and going out to buy OPKs later. God it's been a long time since I did that!!!! Going to see what day I get a positive and then decide if I'm going to Coventry or not. Wish I knew how many decent eggs I had left.

CheesyMash · 21/04/2015 07:41

Lovely post tanny

Sounds like a positive scan diddly Smile

Glad you got your meds sorted cloud

Hope your app goes well today MrsC

Jady77 · 21/04/2015 08:03

Arghhh just lost my post!

Try again.

Good luck today MrsC

So my temps finally rose today CD18 plus my cervix was high and open Sunday CD16. Phone app has recalculated cycle to be a normal 27 days whereas it was estimating a short 23 day one with ovulation on CD12. Confused much! So what I'm wondering is, is it possible to ovulate 5 days after lh surge or maybe ovulated twice? And why didn't CBDH pick up any oestrogen before the surge. Over thinking has peaked today.
Not sure when to take progesterone from now either. 7 days from positive opk or from CD16 when app thinks I ov'd.

GP appointment today and hoping she will support Coventry plan and at least put my mind at ease on that front.

Baking you mentioned before that you can arrange genetic testing of "products" privately if NHS refuse, can you tell me how I'd go about it if I needed to?

barkingtreefrog · 21/04/2015 08:24

Brummie are you feeling any clearer about things today?

MrsC good luck for your appointment.

girlie from the other threads I'm on with women who are struggling to conceive and going through Ivf, I am in the minority when it comes to being very open about it. It's very common to keep it all very private and not tell friends or family, so I think you are right to not say anything unless they bring it up.

Sorry, no time to catch up further, need to be at my desk!!

barkingtreefrog · 21/04/2015 08:28

Knew I'd forgotten something. Sebs if you want to know your egg reserve you can get your amh tested privately. This might reassure you?

sebsmummy1 · 21/04/2015 08:44

I considered getting my AMH tested last year actually but was talked out of it. Does it show egg quality or just egg quantity?

NotSpartacus · 21/04/2015 08:56

Jady you asked about testing? I had my ERPC last night and don't fit the NHS criteria for free testing. However, the hospital were willing to arrange it privately - they use an external lab in any event and they just ticked a box on the form so the invoice (and results) will come to me. It's £310. I also contacted the lab before going for the op and they were very helpful. If it comes to it, the easiest thing to do is to find out whal lab the hospital use and the you can liaise.
Fingers crossed you don't need this info afterall.

Jady77 · 21/04/2015 09:05

Thanks Spartacus. I may try & give them a call, they just said no last time and never mentioned options to go private and I didn't think to. Hope you're doing OK after erpc yesterday?

Boozle80 · 21/04/2015 09:36

Just read back. I'm sorry Brummie, no wonder you were gutted. It all just seems like such a battle all the time doesn't it?
Hope all goes well MrsC - I remember the nerves I had the days leading up to my first RMC appointment. Let us know how you get on - what time's your appointment?

cloudjumper · 21/04/2015 10:14

sebs Yes, AMH only indicates you egg reserve, doesn't say anything about the quality of eggs. I don't think that there is any test that can check that, unless you go down the IVF route, sadly...

girlie How far along are you?

Man, I had forgotten how the heparin injections can sting! I'm totally out of practice...

Boozle80 · 21/04/2015 10:31

Lol, I find releasing the pinched bit of skin a bit as I push the plunger helps and also injecting into old stretch marks if you've got any sting less!

Marchgirl · 21/04/2015 10:47

Good luck for the rmc appointment mrsc. It felt like a turning point for me as it was a step forward. Hopefully you'll feel the same.

jady, how annoying that things are all over the place. I think they normally say ov is 12 to 24 hours after surge, but you could have ov twice? Not sure how that would affect your progesterone (and therefore temp) though. I would have thought the prog would start producing after first ov if there were two. I'd split the difference and maybe take it from cd21

Hope you're recovering ok from the erpc spartacus Flowers

sebsmummy1 · 21/04/2015 10:57

Thanks Cloud that's what I thought. I obviously still have eggs, they are just old.

Monten · 21/04/2015 11:56

Oh my god, I go away for a few days and there’s three BFPs!! Congratulations mrsdiddly, march and girlie. I can completely understand how scary it must feel but, even with our histories, the most likely outcome at this stage is still a baby in 8 months. Sending you loads of positive vibes to get through the next difficult few weeks before first scan.

brummie that is beyond annoying. Sometimes it seems the whole world is against us. I second what others have said about taking time to decide. You and your DP sound very much like me and mind. I am impulsive and like to make decisions quickly and with my heart, he is very considered and hates more than anything to be rushed into decisions. It drives me mad but there have been a few times when I have waited and subsequently changed my mind and been glad that I did. There’s no need to decide until you’re due to OV. FWIW (and not that it should make any difference) I would prob crack on this month too. As far as I understand it, for adhesions to be an actual cause for miscarriage they’d have to be pretty severe and I’m sure they would have spotted something on the ultrasound.

jady I get confused about LH surges and temp rises too. It’s completely possible that your temp will only rise two days after ov (as it rises due to progesterone increase which takes a while to build). Not sure about LH surge – I read it was 12-36 hours which isnt particularly helpful. But based on those timings it’s perfectly possible to have LH surge and temp rise 5 days apart. What app do you use? I use Ovia and first really liked it but it seems to get completely confused about my cycle – my luteal phase is 16 days and so it always has my fertile window start two days later than it should.

I have my gynae appointment this afternoon to discuss light periods and my concerns that is the reason I can’t seem to get pregnant again. I want a hysteroscopy and whatever else they’ll give me but really worried they will dismiss me again. As it’s now been over six months and we are both over 35 (and then some) I am also going to push for a referral to the assisted conception unit to start running some of the standard tests. Wish me luck.

Brummiegirl15 · 21/04/2015 12:18

Bloody hell I don't believe it. I've got a cancellation for next Wednesday!!!!! Grin

I sorted out with Monica (Mr W's secretary) the next appointment for 15th June and said to her, if you get any cancellations let me know . She replied saying, we rarely get cancellations but you never know.

Not half an hour later she emailed me - there is a cancellation at the Alexandra in Redditch - so different hospital and different consultant but all part of same clinical team

So pre-op assessment tomorrow morning at 8am and rescheduled op next Wednesday!!!!

Can't flipping believe it. Monica, you are a legend. This is clearly why you make friends with the secretaries!!!

Such a relief

Thank you so much for all the support and sounding boards as I had a mini meltdown yesterday. I really do appreciate it

Spartacus hope you are doing ok. Big hugs xx

Brummiegirl15 · 21/04/2015 12:19

Sorry Monten posted before reading. Good luck today and let's hope the gynae gods are smiling on you today and you get your hysteroscopy

Keep us posted

Jady77 · 21/04/2015 12:31

Monten that's interesting, so could have surged Wed, ov'd Fri temp rise Tuesday. I hope we've done enough anyway, started to flag Thu, but managed one Sat. I hope your appointment goes well, so frustrating being dismissed. Fx for you.

Thanks March, think I'll stick with Wed to take prog.

I use Ovuview, but am in process of plugging data into fertility friend so I can overlay graphs and go completely crazy. Ovuview thinks my LP is 11 days.

I'm also wondering if maybe I failed to ovulate last week so it tried again and was successful. Oh to be a fly on the wall of my tubes & uterus right now!

Yay Brummie, that must be such a relief!! Now no going near any germie people this week!

Marchgirl · 21/04/2015 12:35

Wow brummie, that's brilliant news. Secretaries hold all the power!

Good luck for your appt today monten . Hope they offer you the hysteroscopy and an appt with the assisted conception unit. Sadly not me with bfp . I think you mean cloud Grin, but hopefully soon!

Floweroct · 21/04/2015 12:38

Ah brummie that's great news! I've been waiting to have some spare time to post and reply to everything but thought I'd just quickly say that's great :)

Congrats to the bfps too! Scary but exciting times ahead x

barking it sounded like your appt went quite well.

flen your blog was beautiful as always made me cry!

Good luck for your appts monten and mrsc

I'm just back from ivf appt and have it pencilled in for start of July - antagonist protocol. Found out my amh is 37 which is apparently higher than normal range.

Have my follow up call from coventry this evening too. Was hoping for bfp today but it was bfn so two more cycles before ivf! Really hope that I get a bfp soon, it's what would be 2nd bday of my 1st mc and due date of third mc in June/July so if ivf doesn't work I'm a bit concerned I may end up a bit of a state but gotta keep positive :)

sebsmummy1 · 21/04/2015 12:57

Oh my god Brummie I'm made up for you Grin

cloudjumper · 21/04/2015 13:05

Excellent news, brummie! That is brilliant, yay for Monica. (I always make a point of being on good terms with secretaries, PAs and receptionists, they rule the world Grin).

Good luck with your appointment monten, don't let them fob you off.

floweroct Wow, I have AMH envy! Can't remember how old you are, but compared to mine, that is sky high. Good luck with your appointment, too.

jady I would trust your OPKs and/or temp rise more than an app - they are all different, and as you have said, they change their mind all the time. If your temp has risen today, then most likely you are about or are ovulating now. When was your +ve OPK?

Floweroct · 21/04/2015 13:15

I don't know about envy cloud! I think it's a bit too high and could by why I have difficulty getting pg but its potentially good for ivf as I respond quite well so I'm not moaning about it :) oh I'm nearly 35 by the way!
