A Manchester Meet up?

Seems there a few Manchester MNers who would like a meet up.

I know the SHineys are having one but feels wrong to gate crash if we haven;t posted!!

I am not volunteering to organise one, just starting a thread so other people can

I am far to lazy and likely to change my mind to do that!!

ARrgghhhh!!! I have horrible sore throat and just opened my mouth to reply to DH, and discovered my voice is all but gone!!!

DH making emergency tea, but I am scared. I want to come tomorrow! I have a job interview Wednesday, I cannot be ill, and up until now I was doing a good job of ignoring it!

hairymelons · 07/03/2010 23:15

You need emergency hot toddies, not tea!

hairymelons · 07/03/2010 23:18

And yey, I'm excited too!
A bit scared, I'm v shy.

AnyFucker · 07/03/2010 23:18

get some whiskies down yer neck...

YanknCock · 07/03/2010 23:20

Apparently we only have gin in the house, bleurgghhhhh

(besides, I have to save that for the baby)

AnyFucker · 07/03/2010 23:21
Grin
MrsChemist · 08/03/2010 08:54

Hope you can make it today Yank.

Try ignoring it again, it's a well know fact that sore throats go away if they see they aren't having an impact.

notevenamousie · 08/03/2010 09:02

We're going to have to drop out last minute. DD is vomiting and hot and grumpy this morning - her timing is as ever marvellous and she only finished antibiotics for scarlet fever 5 days ago .
It's probably a bit needy but am really disappointed as I really do need to make some local friends and was looking forward to the chance to do that. Hope you all have a great time!

littlesez · 08/03/2010 09:20

wooo im coming now! change of plan hope ts ok x

whyme2 · 08/03/2010 09:49

We are setting off soon and I am very nervous < strokes hip flask >

see you all soon . . .

YanknCock · 08/03/2010 09:54

MrsChemist, I am ignoring it again! My voice has returned mostly, but I look forward to losing it again gabbing with you lot.

I might even comb my hair before I leave, if you are lucky.

However, I am going to bring big stupid pushchair now because I don't feel up to lugging DS in the front carrier.

Leaving in about a half hour. See you there!

bilblio · 08/03/2010 10:06

I'm just going to have a cuppa (realised I've not had one yet) and try to persuade DD that wearing her arm bands isn't a good idea, then we'll set off. Should be there just after 11.

I'll be the one with pigtails and potentially a child with armbands.

AnyFucker · 08/03/2010 10:21

slurping a cuppa after doing the weekly shop

then gonna raid my warrobe for rags summat decent to wear and set off in about 20 mins

choppychopster · 08/03/2010 12:06

So sorry I couldn't make it. Was really looking forward to meeting you all, but didn't think that you'd want me spreading snot and germs around. Have a fab time!

suwoo · 08/03/2010 14:29

Hi honey, I'm home!

Twas good wasn't it. Sorry to those who couldn't make it.

When shall we do another one?

MrsChemist · 08/03/2010 14:39

Next week?

I think the next one should be an evening drinks type affair, just to mix it up a bit.

suwoo · 08/03/2010 14:51

Ooh yes. Lets.

Aye, no kids.

AF, I need to ask you if you think I should take DS2 and his rattly chest back to the Dr?

Nice to see you secondcoming, you looked exactly the same but perhaps more frazzled

Ha ha, at one point I did have a red basin cut a la some model who's name escaped me.

What a cock I must have looked.

suwoo · 08/03/2010 15:41

escapes

minxofmancunia · 08/03/2010 15:51

Sorry I couldn't make it,

Would be up for another evening one though with alcohol somewhere cool in town.

thesecondcoming I get accused of swanning too (Dhs words). Yes that's exactly what I'd call looking after a 5 month old that still refuses to sleep because he wants to get up for "cuddles", and a 3.5 year old who's having a "phase" at the moment of being a little b**ch to her friends and other dcs that's sapping the life out of me. . My kitchen is a bombsite after each meal after making some sort of hand blended mush for ds and another separate varied nutritious meal for dd that she'll refuse to eat, again.

Yes I "swan" all the time .
