A Manchester Meet up?

MerlinsBeard · 08/02/2010 11:08

Seems there a few Manchester MNers who would like a meet up.

I know the SHineys are having one but feels wrong to gate crash if we haven;t posted!!

I am not volunteering to organise one, just starting a thread so other people can

I am far to lazy and likely to change my mind to do that!!

MrsChemist · 04/03/2010 22:22

We could play AF buckaroo with babies

Except probably not with the flinging off bit at the end.

YanknCock · 04/03/2010 22:26

He's small for 6 months, so even though he can sit up pretty well, some restaurant high chairs are so big that he slides sideways and the straps can't be tightened enough to hold him in place!

AnyFucker · 04/03/2010 22:34

put the straps round his neck, that should sort it

what ? what ? what did I say....?

come baaaack.................

I won't be around this weekend, ladies but will check in Sunday night

Am still a definite

suwoo · 05/03/2010 08:33

Am still definite and will have huge bugaboo with buggy board and require a highchair.

MrsC, I keep looking around when I am in Whitefield, wondering if people are you.

I am still a definite, with dd (Grace), though it will have to be down to the day- have inexplicably puked this am I will be later than most of you though, so can you save me a seat please?

MrsChemist · 05/03/2010 13:11

Hope your feeling better Saucepanman! We'll save a seat don't worry

I keep looking around for you as well suwoo. So far I don't think I've seen you.

I have only ventured out to the supermarket once this week though.
If you spot a tiny, scruffy looking girl with a giant spotty pram, that's probably me.

BrokenBananaTantrum · 05/03/2010 15:59

I'm coming but will be alone as DD is at school. See you all then.

Erm i'm suffering with stress / anxiety atm so if you see me lurking near the door looking scared will someone come and rescue me please? I'm a bit nervous about going out and about but i'm trying so see you all then. [nervous ]

whyme2 · 05/03/2010 16:24

Oh, I am glad I'm not the only one feeling nervous. Going beyond nervous into the terrified strata now . . .

I would still like to come though. Prob won't be eating though as found out today DH has been made redundant again . Bloody third time in 12 months. So I am feeling slightly delicate.

Er I don't really have any performing body parts - sort of underperforming in lots of areas. I can without a doubt underperform the best of ya

MrsChemist · 05/03/2010 16:44

I'll bring a hipflask of gin for anyone feeling nervous

BrokenBananaTantrum · 05/03/2010 16:45

mmmmmmm thanks Mrs C

MrsChemist · 05/03/2010 17:25

Righty-ho I've just called and finalised things. They said they only have about 10 high chairs available, but I think that should be enough. My DS is a wee bit young for one and can sit on my knee.

I am now terrified that this is all going to go wrong and it will all be my fault.

carocaro · 05/03/2010 17:42

where is all this?

can I come?

I can hold babies!

suwoo · 05/03/2010 17:43

Don't wibble, t'will all be fine. What colour is your pram?

MrsChemist · 05/03/2010 17:55

Grey with blue spots. It's a big Pliko travel system type dooly

Although there is another young lady who lives around here who has the same pram.

The difference between me and her is that she always seems well turned out.

suwoo · 05/03/2010 18:09

Yeah I have seen that pram.

MrsChemist · 05/03/2010 18:31

I'm having to resist calling back and adding a few extras. I said there were 21 adults (which is the confirmed number), but I was intending to add a few more and I forgot.

I'm scared the manager will shout at me though. I know she probably won't (she seems lovely), but I have some sort of phobia of causing a fuss.

suwoo · 05/03/2010 18:55

I wouldn't bother- a few will cancel over the wknd and on the day I reckon.

MrsChemist · 05/03/2010 19:12

I'm comforting myself with the fact that even if there aren't enough places to sit everyone, they can probably easily add more.
I can't see it being heaving on a monday afternoon.
In fact I went to the Trafford Centre a few mondays ago and it was dead.

MissMarjoribanks · 05/03/2010 19:30

No highchair required here (DS far too small) but will be bringing mahoosive buggy

suwoo · 05/03/2010 19:49

There are going to possibly be a lot of prams aren't there. I might bring one of my smaller ones then.
