A Manchester Meet up?

Seems there a few Manchester MNers who would like a meet up.

I know the SHineys are having one but feels wrong to gate crash if we haven;t posted!!

I am not volunteering to organise one, just starting a thread so other people can

I am far to lazy and likely to change my mind to do that!!

I should be washing dishes but I'm procrastinating and I've reckoned up how many of us there will be.
These are just the numbers so far, so they will probably change.

There are 27 adults and 13 childebeests.

I think.

whenskiesaregrey · 12/02/2010 17:03

Oh that'll be good if all those people turn up!

AnyFucker · 12/02/2010 17:10

bump

MrsC...are you only counting the FB people? Cos there will be more than that

Don't forget though, there will be a high fallout rate...there always is for stuff like this

MerlinsBeard · 12/02/2010 17:34

Childebeests ? love it

No, I counted on here first and then the facebook group as I think a few people joined the FB group but can't make it.

BelleDameSansMerci · 12/02/2010 17:47

Sorry, Ladies... I said I'd call the Giraffe place but haven't done it yet. Have had a tough couple of days - have stinking cold; ex DP being rather more charming and helpful than strictly necessary; DD also has cold etc. Anywaaaaaaaaaay, will call them on Monday. I promise.

MrsChemist · 12/02/2010 18:02

No rush

Yes tsc, you, your ribbon and your deranged two year old have been counted

I can see myself getting there earlier to do some shopping and stare suspiciously at people with prams

suwoo · 15/02/2010 11:15

MrsC, I waswondering where in W/F you live as it is weird we have never bumped into each other. I live Ribble Drive Childrens Centre side near Hazel Rd shops, are you in W/F 'proper'? TSC, I can't wait to meet you again

suwoo · 15/02/2010 11:17

We have a new member in the fb group- initials SA. Ooh ar ya????? Out yourself missus.

AnyFucker · 15/02/2010 11:29

welcome, sabi

suwoo · 15/02/2010 11:37

Read the fucking thread.

MrsChemist · 15/02/2010 11:52

Is the Hazel Road shops the ones with the dog clothes shop (always thought there were some really bizarre shops around here) and the guitar shop?

I live on a tiny wee street right near Vic park. Most people don't know there are houses down here and it always surprises them. I don't know anyone in W/F so I don't venture out much. Just to go to the shops really, although I think I'll be heading to the childrens' centre later so see what's going on, in the hopes I can be less of a hermit.

suwoo · 15/02/2010 12:44

No, not there- I have no idea where that is???? Its near red hairdressers and cheekie nails salon. Whats on at the Childrens Centre today? I'm not from wf or Mcr either but DD is at school so have a fairly big network of friends/acquaintances through her really.

MrsChemist · 15/02/2010 14:02

Sorry, got confused. The shops I was thinking about are all on the main road.
Playstation today at the childrens' centre (I found a leaflet in the house, so didn't bother walking there).

Most of my friends live the other side of Manchester in Studentland and getting them to venture out, even into the city centre, is like pulling teeth.

suwoo · 15/02/2010 14:24

I have friends in south manchester and they very rarely venture 'up north'. Bloody weather is awful isn't it and I have the three of them at home this week. They are being very good thus far.

AnyFucker · 15/02/2010 14:45

the weather is going to be crap all week, apparently

MrsChemist · 15/02/2010 14:46

MET office says the weather is likely to be crappy all week

Doing stuff with just one is hard enough when the weather is bad, I salute you managing with three

AnyFucker · 15/02/2010 14:50

the Wii is my frieeeeeeeend

suwoo · 15/02/2010 15:01

Don't have a wii and dd's laptop is bust. At least there's no school runs though as I normally do the normal school run and playgroup at 11.30 too. Poor ds2 never gets out of his bleedin car seat.

Saucepanman · 15/02/2010 15:14

Have been absent from thread a bit, pg sickness and now stinking cold- weather doing my head in! Am S Mcr

suwoo · 15/02/2010 15:23

Everyone is always in South Manchester.

We couldn't afford it.
