A Manchester Meet up?

MerlinsBeard · 08/02/2010 11:08

Seems there a few Manchester MNers who would like a meet up.

I know the SHineys are having one but feels wrong to gate crash if we haven;t posted!!

I am not volunteering to organise one, just starting a thread so other people can

I am far to lazy and likely to change my mind to do that!!

OP posts:

hehe, belle is older than meeeee

< dances round room >

oops MrsC, forgot about the FB thingie

you are right, perhaps we should book if there are that many...I was thinking there might be about 8 of us

AnyFucker · 10/02/2010 20:41

good idea belle...see what they suggest

although, I would suspect there will be quite a big drop-out rate as we get nearer to the day

always happens don't it...bleddy real life, tch

whyme2 · 10/02/2010 20:41

That would be 20 + adults and an assortment of children.

I will have my two youngest with me and will have to make sure I am back for school finish.

suwoo · 10/02/2010 20:41

Yankncock, our DC's can sit and stair at each other my ds2 is 6 months. I will also have ds1 with me, he is 3. Dd will be at school.

BelleDameSansMerci · 10/02/2010 20:43

I'll see if they can cope with the idea of a drifting in/out sort of affair. If not, will try the others. Unless anyone wants me to try one of the others first?

Noooooo, I'm the oldest - sob! It is the end of September.

AnyFucker · 10/02/2010 20:43

omg...am I the only one that will be child-free ?

I will look like the maiden aunt !!

mankyscotslass · 10/02/2010 20:44

Thanks AF, Found it! Marking my place and having a read.

AnyFucker · 10/02/2010 20:44

< sob >

KnitterInTheNW · 10/02/2010 20:44

I'll have my two-in-six-week DS with me. He will love/ignore the babies and idolise the older DCs.

notevenamousie · 10/02/2010 20:50

I'd love to come. I'm even off work that week anyway! It would be me and 3yo DD and it would be so good to meet people.

BelleDameSansMerci · 10/02/2010 20:51

I can leave mine at nursery! We'll be like Hinge and Bracket...

I don't think you will be the only one child free as others were talking about getting back for school chucking out time.

If it's looking like all others have children with them, I'll leave mine to her normal schedule and have a coffee in peace for a change.

AnyFucker · 10/02/2010 20:51

yay, mousie

AnyFucker · 10/02/2010 20:52

could anybody lend me a child, please ?

BelleDameSansMerci · 10/02/2010 20:52

That last post was for AF...

MrsChemist · 10/02/2010 20:53

I'll have (currently) 5.5mo DS with me. He'll have started BLW by then. Food will be everywhere.

BelleDameSansMerci · 10/02/2010 20:53

AF you can have mine

mankyscotslass · 10/02/2010 20:53

Well, at the moment I'm not sure about being able to come...youngest Manky is in afternoon nursery at the older DC school, so timings are bad as I dont drive

But even if i did I would not have had the car as DH is still working away.

Will keep an eye on this thread and confirm closer to the time if thats ok?

I am very scared...I am almost 40 and flabby and frumpy.

Do you all wear Boden????

will try to go back and see where the FB group info is, when I apply it will either be a profile pic of me looking like I am sucking a lemon while wearing sunglasses or one of eldest Manky with City face paint!

whyme2 · 10/02/2010 20:53

At least there will be other dc's for my 3year old to cause trouble play with. And hopefully dd (18months) will not run away again . . .

mankyscotslass · 10/02/2010 20:56

Have just asked to join the group.....tis me with the BIG sunglasses and badly fitted white vest top.

whyme2 · 10/02/2010 20:56

AF - how many children would you like and for how long? < clutches at straws >
I have four on first come first served basis only.

BelleDameSansMerci · 10/02/2010 20:57

scotslass I have never worn Boden in my life. I even started a thread about my horror of liking some of the things in the new catalogue. It seems, though, that that I am alone in this and many Boden fans do not like the new stuff!

I'm more a baggy jumpers and leggings kind of a girl unless I'm going into the office (which I try to avoid at all costs). I may wear botts with a heel but I bet my Uggs or the cheaper copies I have will be calling to me before I get out the door!

AnyFucker · 10/02/2010 20:57

lol @ Hinge and Brackett

you do what you wanna do, belle...you are coming a distance so if easier to bring tot so you don't have to dash off then do that

I shall suck lemons in the corner and try and stay out of the way of BLW infants chucking food at me

manky, if you where you roughly live, you may be able to hitch a lift

and I don't ow any items of Boden clothing...I had never heard of it before MN

I am more of a New Look kinda girl myself....

BelleDameSansMerci · 10/02/2010 20:58

Er, boots, not botts! Was that Freudian?

MrsChemist · 10/02/2010 21:11

Nope, no Boden here.

mankyscotslass · 10/02/2010 21:12

I'm Deton, Af, but more the Stockport/Gorton side iykwim.

It's the timings that may be awkward for me really, but I might be able to sort something out.

Things will be better timewise when the youngest demon Manky starts school.

But I would love to meet up with everyone!
