A Manchester Meet up?

Seems there a few Manchester MNers who would like a meet up.

I know the SHineys are having one but feels wrong to gate crash if we haven;t posted!!

I am not volunteering to organise one, just starting a thread so other people can

I am far to lazy and likely to change my mind to do that!!

heyyy, new blood....fab !!!

MerlinsBeard · 10/02/2010 08:22

I'm 28 skies but apparently look younger. that of course depends on the amount of sleep I have had in the week before the meetup

I'm 23, but it's ok, I look dowdy as well. I am too lazy tired from looking after DS for glam.

shockers · 10/02/2010 09:12

I'm 43, does that make me the oldest? I'm young at heart though (just forgot to mention it to the rest of my body)

MerlinsBeard · 10/02/2010 09:37

ooh mrschemist, I've just turned 24, so yay I'm not the youngest! I dont like being the youngest, or looking the youngest, no-one takes you seriously! We went to book dss's 18th the other week, and the bloke thought it was my party

MerlinsBeard · 10/02/2010 11:23

I read that as you went to book your DSs 18th.

Oh sorry, forgot to add that I don't do FB. Is this a big problem?

I always have cake about my person, so no probs on that score!

MrsChemist · 10/02/2010 12:33

AnyFucker doesn't have facebook either so it shouldn't be a problem.

Facebook is not a requirement (just as well really)

I am going to wear a very large badge

I am the oldest I think (perhaps same as Belle)...I am 44

but of course, I don't look a day over 71 21

everybody welcome (especially anybody older than me...)

in fact, if you have any very old relatives, bring them along too

MerlinsBeard · 10/02/2010 13:42

I don't look a day UNDER 71 today

I will be 35, 9 weeks today. And feel about 75 today. I'm a nanny taking my own DS with me. I've had a day of poo today, not feeling particularly glam! One potty training nearly 3yo, one teething nearly 2yo and one teething 7mo. Oh what fun.

suwoo · 10/02/2010 20:08

I'm 35 this year as my mother kindly reminded me this morning.

Blusher is my friend.

YanknCock · 10/02/2010 20:09

I'm 33 and have a 5.5 month old DS. I'm sure I won't know any of you as we've only been up in this part of the country for just under two years, and no one at my job is interesting enough to be a MNer.

You'll just have to take me as I am...nursing top, jeans, trainers, probably with uncombed hair and no makeup, most likely with baby sick on me somewhere.

AnyFucker · 10/02/2010 20:31

so, fellow Mancs...are we keeping this thread going until March 8th and finalising arrangements nearer the time?

Because we haven't decided on an exact venue yet.

Any time from 11am, with people coming and going as able ?

I don't think we would have to book under those circumstances, tbh...it was very quiet on top floor of Trafford Centre when I was there on Tues morning.

An idea of numbers might be helpful though. How the heck do you do that?

BelleDameSansMerci · 10/02/2010 20:32

I'm 44 too (45 in September) and will probably have DD 2.5 in tow... She's a little angel despite my crap parenting skills!

MrsChemist · 10/02/2010 20:34

Well, last time I checked there were 22 people in the facebook group, so it might be nice to inform wherever we go that over 20 of us will be descending on them en masse. They might need extra staff on or something.

BelleDameSansMerci · 10/02/2010 20:35

Can we do numbers by starting a thread with yes/no to meet and have a cut off time? Then just count the "yes" votes?

BelleDameSansMerci · 10/02/2010 20:37

Shall I give that Giraffe place a ring in the morning and see if they can accommodate us?
