next wed is good for me if anyone wnats to meet up then.

We were going to meet up for mini-coffee's birthday then weren't we? IS it her birthday tomorrow?

Really enjoyed the other night. WOuld be nice if we could do it semi-regularly.

ArmadilloDaMan · 08/03/2008 18:53

I can come withotu spotty one next week btw in case anyone was worried.

Desiderata · 08/03/2008 19:05

Sorry I couldn't make it, girls. He turned up at seven, and insisted on plumbing it all in (even though we were going to put it in the shed and wait until our old one blows up).

Did everything go according to plan?

Yes, I'll be up for the next one .. but Wednesdays are the worst day for me. Tuesdays are brilliant, but that rules the Dixie out.

Kaz1967 · 08/03/2008 19:09

I know I said Wednesdays but I can't do the next 1 Wednesdays I am seeing Doula this coming week and have physio appointment the following one

What has spotty one got?

needmorecoffee · 08/03/2008 20:21

next wednesday is my cerebral palsy plus meeting which dd loves so maybe wednesday after. Norms are welcome though, as its good for all kids to see that wheelchair kids are just the same as them.
How small is St Werburgs? I assume dd's wheelchair will fit in even if I have to shove things out of the way?
dd is 4 tomorrow and we're meant to be going to a Harvester. Can't get there till 1 and it wont let you book so hopefully we wont get turned away like we did last sunday (mothers day)

A Wednesday!!!!

Had a great time on Thur night too - would be fab to do it semi regularly! I need to get used to lip reading you guys after all!! Any excuse....

NMC - you can't accuse me of being gingerist! I've already braved the parking and the stares of me in headscarf to visit you!!

Kaz1967 · 08/03/2008 20:35

There is a pic of the cafe here tinyurl.com/2up5st along with a phone number so you could ring if worried. I suspect though it is fairly well set up for those with a disability.

needmorecoffee · 08/03/2008 20:39

what about a friday? I know you're not gingerist Puss.
Wish I could come out to dinner but dd wont promise to be Sezure free. How about a lunch one weekend?
Kaz, I don't do the checking thing. They bloody well better be disabled friendly or i do the steam coming out of ears thing and then chain myself to something while waving placards My norm children tend to scuttle off in sheer embaressment
so, friday anay good?

It is on the way to college so I don't see why not and if I get carried away and am late well I find maths boring anyway

MaeWest · 09/03/2008 13:57

I also had a great time on Thursday, full marks Puss for a great choice of restaurant. And a big huzzah for Dixie's first night out

Friday is good for me for daytime meet up. If it's in the morning I'll bring the boy, but DH has Fri afternoons off so tends to look after him then, so could come without.

Dixie - do you get a bus into town and then one out to St Werbs? We would be going the same route I think???

DixiePixie · 09/03/2008 14:26

Yes Mae, pretty much the same route - possibly the same buses - just I would catch the 1st bus a few stops before you do. When I went on Mother's day, I rang First (bus co.) and got them to plan out my journey for me so I knew I wouldn't have to wait forever for connections etc, and also so that I knew where the connections left from!! ('specially since it was a Sunday). My eventual destination was James Street in St Werburgh's (which is about 5-10 mins walk away from the farm)

Fridays potentially good. As I said, some Fridays better than others because I sometimes do a bit of relief teaching on a Friday morning.

charlotte121 · 10/03/2008 12:33

Hello mummy's of bristol. can anyone come along to your little meet ups. Im close to the farm would love to have some adult company and friends. I get stuck in my flat all day long with only ds and the walls for company which forces me to do coursework for uni

MaeWest · 10/03/2008 18:07

Hey Charlotte - you'd be v welcome, how old is your DS?

I started a meet-up thread over a year ago because I was feeling lonely, and now I have met plenty of lovely Bristol MNers

ArmadilloDaMan · 10/03/2008 18:20

I can't do fridays - working latter half of week.

Maybe arrange another one earlier in week after this?

How did your dd's birthday go NMC?

charlotte121 · 10/03/2008 20:23

Heya, my ds is 9 months old. He is the cutest thing ever. Strange what being a mum does to you
I just get stuck in a rut in my flat on my own all day and could really do with a change of sceenary and all of my friends are off at uni im different places in the country so Im all alone
would be really nice to meet up with some other mummys in bristol. how old is ur dc?

ArmadilloDaMan · 10/03/2008 21:37

woohoo! someone younger than me.

yes I really am that shallow

MaeWest · 10/03/2008 22:51

Charlotte - my DS is 19 months. Sorry to hear you're feeling stuck in a rut, you definitely need to get along to a meet up, and meet some of our lively children

Armadillo - think thats a good idea to alternate days, don't think it's poss to get everyone together on the same day at the mo!

charlotte121 · 10/03/2008 23:00

yup Im a young mummy, but loving it more than I ever thought I could.
Got another one on the way too. Think Im just a bit too fertile! Cant complain tho. Just lucky that I can have kids Although Im will not be having any more for a few years at least. I need to get uni completed and a nice chunky paying job under my belt... oh and a decent man.
Btw bristol mummy's I can chat for england... if i ever meet up with u, u might consider bringing some rope to tie me up with and a sock to stuff in my mouth. Thats one way of shutting me up.

PussinJimmyChoos · 11/03/2008 20:06

Charlotte - I can talk for England too!!!

PixelHerder · 12/03/2008 16:24

Hi guys - just a quickie to say I really enjoyed the meetup last week, lovely to catch up with you all. Things are a bit mad here with house viewings / uber-tidying going on, but will try and make it along to the next daytime meet.

charlotte121 · 27/03/2008 00:02

PussinJimmyChoos · 30/03/2008 21:27

Hi Charlotte -how are you doing? Had a good Easter thanks - ate far too much choc which is ironic as I don't even celebrate Easter (am Muslim) any excuse...lol lol!!!
