OP posts:
oggsfrog · 18/01/2008 12:32

Anybody else beginning to panic yet?

oggsfrog · 18/01/2008 12:38

Have been debating merits of diy style liposuction utilising my Henry hoover...

Zebedeedoodah · 18/01/2008 12:45

I'm not panicing yet, I'm just in denial about thinking about the logistics. I'll worry about that on the morning of Wed 30th. Oooh, it IS Wed 30th we've got tickets for, isn't it?

Zebedeedoodah · 18/01/2008 12:46

Panicing doesn't look right. How DO you spell that?

LyraSilvertongue · 18/01/2008 13:31

Panicking.

LyraSilvertongue · 18/01/2008 13:32

I still haven't sorted out childcare for the 30th...

LyraSilvertongue · 18/01/2008 13:35

I'm really struggling to stay awake today. Poor DS2, I should be taking him swimming or something but I'm just too knackered. It doesn't help that DP's in China and India till next week.

Zebedeedoodah · 18/01/2008 13:54

China & India? Makes Milan sound very dull!
Lyra, just give in to the snoozles and fall asleep on the sofa.

Berrie · 18/01/2008 13:56

DH is worn out with hoovering bless him

Berrie · 18/01/2008 13:56

I'll send him up to you with it shall I Oggs?

Berrie · 18/01/2008 13:57

Poor Lyra...I should go to bed at Berie time tonight if I were you!

LyraSilvertongue · 18/01/2008 14:06

I will be going to bed very early indeed. These bloody pills are zombifying me. I really hope it improves soon.

LyraSilvertongue · 18/01/2008 14:08

Can you send dh round to hoover my stairs? They're in a shocking state. Haven't got the energy to do anything about it.

binkleandflip · 18/01/2008 14:44

Oh dear, we are in a bad way on this thread at the minute aren't we

Berrie's poorly back, a sedated Lyra and a slightly singed Oggs!

Hopefully, we will all be back at full strength for a week (A WEEK!!!) on Wednesday.

What are your plans for the evening? Quiet night for me - dh in London for the evening and dd at grandma's, just got the gym at 8 and that is about it.

OP posts:
Berrie · 18/01/2008 14:53

Lordy, that sounds a bit strenuous for a Friday night...I really really couldn't make myself go out at 8pm, it's nearly bedtime.

Lyra, I would send him round but he says our stairs are shocking too and...he's about to get his plane out...

Berrie · 18/01/2008 14:56

Tonight I shall listen to my new cd, watch echo beach because I love to see Cornwall...that's about it...that's if the road that floods isn't still closed meaning DH can't get to flying club.

Did anyone see Grand Designs? That house was vile, it was like a prison. I was going to say can you imagine looking out of the window to see the new family playing in your old garden but they can't look out of the window can they...

LyraSilvertongue · 18/01/2008 16:03

I missed echo beach last week. Was it good?

Zebedeedoodah · 18/01/2008 16:06

Echo Beach? Yes, a true evocation of life in Newquay. Ha ha ha ha ha!

Actually, it's all right as long as you watch it with Moving Wallpaper (which is funny), otherwise it's totally dire.

Zebedeedoodah · 18/01/2008 16:08

I didn't see Grand Designs but did anyone see Kirsty and Phil this week?! The woman had her DH wrapped around her little finger.

LyraSilvertongue · 18/01/2008 16:10

I saw Grand Designs, wasn't keen on the prison house especially when the polystyrene walls started rotting the minute it rained.
The Location woman was a real yummy mummy, wasn't she. Far too glam.

LyraSilvertongue · 18/01/2008 16:12

Nobody ever builds their houses out of plain old bricks and mortar on Grand Designs. They're always using some experimental material that's never been tried in the UK before.

Berrie · 18/01/2008 16:25

I sometimes imagine some of you are like those women on those two episodes...quite unlike anyone else I know...

That woman on Relocation was V. annoying, it wasn't like she even had to lift a paintbrush! Can you imagine her having to walk on bare earth around her house for years like Zeb has to ?

Berrie · 18/01/2008 16:27

Oops, that reads back that I think you are very annoying...not on here you're not, I meant I worry that in RL you might be so unlike me I'll feel ill at ease but I guess we'll find out next week!

Berrie · 18/01/2008 16:29

I missed the Moving Wallpaper bit last time but just caught Echo Beach. Can't get that song out of my head for days afterwards! I still enjoyed it

Zebedeedoodah · 18/01/2008 16:35

Nah! I just wanna be like that woman, just like the fab Kirsty! - not having to do a thing, then decide on the day of completion that I've changed my mind . We couldn't decide in the office if he had had an affair and was desperate to appease her, or if she was suffering from PND so he was trying to make her happy!
