OK, thought I'd bite the bullet and start this thread as we were talking about the possibility on the "we're great, we are" thread

Is anyone interested in a christmas meet up? I know it's early but you know how time has a habit of flying by... I'm happy to organise if so. You can post here or email me at [email protected] I'm thinking probably London or just outside London as the place and the venue depends on how many want to come. Like batey's idea of a 70s/80s theme...

Have just read this thread and as I live about 10 minutes from suggested venue it would seem silly not to attend - am v.v. nervous about it though!!

DP told me not to be stupid and go - how could I ignore such sensitivity???

So put me down for the 30th Nov!! I'll be the one carrying all the sleep books and looking knackered.

Deborahf · 03/10/2002 20:30

Hope you all have a great time - I'm not able to make 30th November (dh and I will be attending a Joint 30th Party that night). However, I hope to make the next big get together.

Have a brilliant evening - eat, drink and be merry

CAM · 04/10/2002 09:04

DeborahF you're making me feel old, I only go to 40th ones nowadays and in fact went to my "first" 50th earlier this year.
ks and www, I am already looking forward to the meet-up!

Azure · 07/10/2002 12:31

I'm new to this site & would love to come to the do too, especially as it's only a 10 min taxi ride away (ok, or a 20 min walk). Please count me in, if possible.

ks...you have probably thought of this already...but it just popped into my head so thought i'd put it in....wouldn't that work out a bit hit & miss....as we wouldn't know who had paid & who hadn't & who to chase..and would the restaurant be ok about it all coming in dribs & drabs? I just thought I'd mention it...but i just jumped in & can't really think of an alternative...what's been done before at the other meet ups? We could start sending a designated person our cheques now & en they could send of one big check when cleared in their account or something..but its a lot of responsibility i suppose...as i say...jumped in but didn't really think..sorry

cherry · 16/10/2002 23:03

Floops - where abouts are you? I am Newcastle, anywhere near you?

Hi, is too late to add my name to the list, I've decided I deserve an evening out and would love to come.

ks take over away and thanks! LTA has emailed me to say she can't make it so that's 44 then. Ooh, it seems really close now doesn't it? How exciting! Where are all the 5pm-ers meeting (sorry if you've said, haven't read all the way down).
