OK, thought I'd bite the bullet and start this thread as we were talking about the possibility on the "we're great, we are" thread

Is anyone interested in a christmas meet up? I know it's early but you know how time has a habit of flying by... I'm happy to organise if so. You can post here or email me at [email protected] I'm thinking probably London or just outside London as the place and the venue depends on how many want to come. Like batey's idea of a 70s/80s theme...

Ks
Had such a good time on Friday that I'm throwing myself into this one as well. Please count me in and I'll have to fork out for a tent (to wear, not tosleep in).

ks I just want to let you know (for the zillionth time!!!) that I am DEFINITELY coming. I'm just making sure that I don't get a detention from prefect!

chanelno5 · 24/10/2002 16:52

Really sorry Ks, but I'm not able to make it anymore. Am going to be godmother at a christening the next day and won't be able to get back in time for the service. Hope you all have a great time though, and look forward to hearing all about it.

Marina · 24/10/2002 18:47

That's such a LIMP and self-centred excuse, Chanelno5! So sorry you can't make it this time!

Just picked up on this... I have been on Mumsnet 10 minutes a day... for days, so I hadn't realised this was going on...
I don't know yet if I can make it... can you tell me latest date for getting our name down ???
Thanks

Tinker · 24/10/2002 22:25

Sorry, for not getting back to you sooner but I'm afraid I'm going to have to bow out - really sorry, and really wish I could go. I'll be quite jealous!

Twink · 25/10/2002 11:54

Tinker

Jendy · 25/10/2002 15:53

I've not been able to get on line for ages. I'm really sorry but the way things are I won't be able to make it. If things change and there are any spaces left I'll post again. Have a great time everyone. I know it's a bit early but I may not be back - so have a merry xmas and happy new year.

Tinker · 25/10/2002 19:03

Aww, thanks Twink, I'm touched! I'm very disappointed, enjoyed myself so much at other meet-ups.

ScummyMummy · 25/10/2002 19:32

waah! Sob sulk scowl want Tinker to come to the party (and you Jendy- be lovely to meet you in RL)

bossykate · 25/10/2002 19:36

tinker, that's a shame, i was looking forward to meeting you again. i had visions of you, me and sis sharing our favourite moments from perfect match! and sharing some wine of course!

hope to see you at the next one...

Fionn · 25/10/2002 22:59

ks - you've probably already mentioned this but what time does Da Mario's close? Just wondering if I'll be getting the last tube or a cab. It sounds daft but it might dictate what I wear!

Willow2 · 26/10/2002 00:05

bossykate - what's your team?

bossykate · 29/10/2002 07:53

willow2, i was rather baffled by your question, until i realised you were probably referring to footie? whereas i, on the other hand, was referring to the dating/life makeover trash tv show called "perfect match"!

fraid i'm not a football fan at all!

Willow2 · 29/10/2002 13:27

feel such a fool....
....................going down garden to eat worms

bossykate · 29/10/2002 14:48

lol, willow2! don't think there's anything to be embarrassed about not knowing the latest thing in tv dating shows! rather the reverse, imo!
