CycleIndia2008 · 03/06/2007 13:07

Hi there.. I am from Hamble.. nr Southampton and am looking to meet up with some locals. I have been back from New Zealand now for just over 2 years and have found it difficult meeting others.
I am mother to 3 ages 19, 14 & 4 yes the 4 yr old was like starting all over again!

I have commited myself to doing a charity cycle ride next year and to be honest am getting nervous.. Was featured in the local rag this week too in order to spread the word and get some fundraising going

Anyways .. hope some of you local ladies drop in for a chat soon.. take care and bye for now xx

If any of you are definitely coming to the Curry Night please give me your names and I'll put your name down so you can pay on the night, as I have to give numbers this weekend.. and if I dont get at least 40 the restaurant may cancel as not worth their while!..

Thanks J

How many have you got so far?

btw went to JUngle Jeans too on Sunday. Very nice. H&A they have a baby section with activiy mats for the really littlies which is nice as then they don't just stay in a car seat for the duration.

Do we have a time to meet next monday??

CycleIndia2008 · 02/07/2007 18:12

hi .. yes I could meet monday no problem.. nothing planned yet, Dani has school 9.30-12

so name the time and place

Have 15 paid, plus a few other who said they'll come, but putting posters up locally to advertise for more this week

Hi All
What are the plans for next monday? Not sure I can make it yet as don't finish work until 1.30pm and would have to check that DH could pick up DS from school otherwise would not be worth going for an hour. Anyone know what the plan is?
Sorry cycle cannot do the curry as it is the day before my birthday and Dh has planned something around that time!
Will sponsor you nearer the time thou.
Looking forward to meeting up again.
Rosepetal and mammanoodle are you guys up for it?
Eve hope all is well, how is it all going?
Off to bed now but will check in tomorrow x

rosepetal1 · 04/07/2007 09:34

Hi mumof2monsters,
Are you and the monsters OK?
Can't make it as I will be working , never mind will have to try and sort a weekend meet up soon.

mumof2monsters · 04/07/2007 18:05

Hi rosepetal
We are all ok thanks, DD is fine and has not managed to fall over and bang her head for at least a week now!!!
Not sure that I will be able to make next monday either as DH may not be around to pick up DS from school and I don't finish work until 1.30.
We will have to arrange another day. What days are best for you. Maybe we can get mamanoodle out too.

Bouquetsofdynomite · 04/07/2007 19:36

Julia, I'm definitely currying on 16th, on my own at present so NappyValley, be brave and come too so we'll both (almost) know someone LOL! Will have just got back from 4night Larmer Tree Festival that day so some time away from DH and kids will be most welcome.
Have you tried giving a poster to the housing office staff opposite the restaurant? They might fancy a night out. Staff rooms at schools/nurseries too for end of term?

Bouquetsofdynomite · 04/07/2007 19:47

Ooh and Bitterne Police station and Sholing fire station!

CycleIndia2008 · 05/07/2007 00:05

Bouquet & Nappyvalley and anyone else of course.. look forward to you coming along to curry night, should be a good night. Got a few little raffle prizes, rather than 1 big one. Are you still wanting to meet up on Monday?

I have put poster up at Hamble Club, Post Offices, in the restaurant, and delivered some to neighbours, also a few from netmums are coming too, so numbers are going up. Also The Echo agreed to do a piece for me this week, which is great

I will be so glad when the fundraising is over and I can focus on getting fit.. lol

Hi mumof2monsters,
I can't really do days as I work everyday but could do a weekend or evening thing without DC's.
Last I heard from mamanoodle they had all been ill and her laptop had blown up but I am waiting to hear from her so i can arrange for her DS to come into work to see the tractors

Angela1982 · 05/07/2007 21:54

Hi Every one,

Would love to try and meet sometime. I live in Lordswood and have a little girl who is 9months old. Would have tried to gatecrash monday (if you all hadn't of minded) but hubby is off work and FIL s over from Spain so doing a family day.

Are there any other dates lined up that I might be able to gatecrash?

Thanks Angela
xx

Bouquetsofdynomite · 10/07/2007 18:09

I'm going to aim for 10am as me and Noah have to leave about noon so I want to get me money's worth! I have 3 nephews under 5 coming for lunch and rather meanly want to get Noah down for his nap before they arrive.

CycleIndia2008 · 10/07/2007 19:14

hey bouquet.. I'll head there for 10 too then so you're not on your own, I will need to leave at midday to anyway as Dani has preschool at 12.30, so have to give at least 20 minutes incse there's traffic..

OP posts:
NappyValley · 10/07/2007 19:32
