Fox, fingers crossed for your scan next Fri.

MrsRecycle · 01/02/2007 20:32

Ooh soo much to catch up on. If you lot are after cheap houses, good primary and secondary schools then move to Ruislip! Dd1s average class size throughout her school years has always been lower than that of the private school that we had planned to send her to. Also, I live next door to the school governor. A very good school and they start there from 3 years onwards (has a nursery attached). Plus I know tonnes of childminders who are very cheap. Come on - move out to Ruislip - then I can get drunk at a meet-up whilst someone else does the driving .

Nannou - sorry about the tax bill. The IR are notorious for getting their figures wrong so double check their calculations first. When I did my online Self Assessment I'd missed out some tax I'd paid and thought I owed them £7k. When I checked and corrected the error, it was down to £23.

Sue - I might be able to make next Friday at 1pm. Do you need any 9-12 months winter clothes as by the time ds1 gets into them (he's still in newborn) it'll be the height of summer? I have a lovely Next Jacket if you want it.

Ooh thanks for all your wishes about ds - he is doing wonderfully well now and is sleeping through the night. So I might be able to make the next meet-up.

foxabout2pop · 01/02/2007 20:35

Hi MrsRecycle - are you coming out to play on 10 feb as well?

Mellow, my scan is on 19th. Friday 9th is physio to check out spd (which stands for "somethingorother pelvic dislocation)

MrsRecycle · 01/02/2007 20:45

Hi Foxie - It's dd1s birthday on the Monday and I've got all my relatives descending on me that weekend so I'm not sure. I'll try and make it if I can.

MrsRecycle · 01/02/2007 20:47

Foxie - whilst you're on line - do you need any newborn baby clothes? I'm sure Uwila won't mind me passing some on to you. I've also got a couple of newborn snowsuits - white so unisex - that ds is nearly out of so you could have them.

foxabout2pop · 01/02/2007 20:57

MrsR - yes please re newborn clothes

MrsRecycle · 01/02/2007 21:04

Excellent - I'll try and make the 10th and bring them along. Do you know what you're having yet? Ds has some wonderful newborn outfits that I could give you, if you're having a boy.

foxabout2pop · 01/02/2007 21:05

A little blue one

comeoveneer · 01/02/2007 21:07

Foxie I could send some "blue stuff" your way to on the 10th if you like. Anything in particular you need?

MrsRecycle · 01/02/2007 21:07

Oh that's brilliant - I have so many lovely blue outfits and all my friends are having girls!

MrsRecycle · 01/02/2007 21:09

COV - I was there first!

MrsRecycle · 01/02/2007 21:10

Ooh and foxie I have hundreds of pairs of socks so I'll dig them out for you. And some lovely hat/mitten sets from Gap.

comeoveneer · 01/02/2007 21:15

Not trying to butt in . Just trying to offload some of the garage full of boxes we moved with.

MrsRecycle · 01/02/2007 21:17

Ooh don't talk to me about garages and boxes - mine is full of them - all from the caravan and I have to sort them out. Goodness knows whats in them. That's the problem being married to a removal man - he bungs everything in a box ready for you to sort out.

Nanou1 · 02/02/2007 09:21

hi everyone! sorry my conscience got the better of me so went to work this morning. last year i pulled a sickie and stressed all day cos i was scared of meeting one of my bosses . would have loved to see Sue and meet her master but another time eh?! i checked the clothes and the little i have is summer stuff and too big for dannyboy i think. but i'll bring them along on 10th and you can decide if you want them or not sue. mrsR nice to see you. must press on and will catch up later. have a good day all. x

uwila · 02/02/2007 09:31

mellow2 · 02/02/2007 10:27

All this talk of food and Friday is making me want to go out to dinner.

Hmm. . . Chinese Indian Thai?

uwila · 02/02/2007 10:27

Oh bugger...
Quilon

mellow2 · 02/02/2007 10:31

Ooh uwila I'm

I buy Quilon meals from Waitrose Twickers and they are lovely. They're actually quite close to my office. Hmm I might be able to go there for a special occasion one day.

Paddlechick666 · 02/02/2007 10:32

how posh are you Uwila!!!

i'd love Thai tomorrow night but skids are a bit pedestrian and i can't be a*sed trying to educate their palates

going out for lunch in an hour

mellow2 · 02/02/2007 10:33

I've just seen the Quilon prices. Wow, at these prices, it's going to have to be a very special occasion!
