uwila · 31/01/2007 10:06

Hey! Whatever keeps the preggie lady happy.

And it isn't quite so dirty after the first 10 seconds or so...

lemonaid · 31/01/2007 10:10

Maybe someone could hand-craft a life-size David Tennant out of chocolate, thereby pushing all Fixie's buttons at once (so to speak)...

Paddlechick666 · 31/01/2007 10:21

maybe we could get this person to branch out and make a David Tennent version?

for the record, this was posted on my iVillage Mums Club and personally I think they're sick............

Nanou1 · 31/01/2007 10:22

pmsl lemonaid!!!!

Nanou1 · 31/01/2007 10:28

paddle... what is this? i am lost.

Paddlechick666 · 31/01/2007 10:36

nanou, took me a while to figure it out too!

basically it seems she makes life size models of babies that are incredibly lifelike........

someone posted that they'd bought their niece one when they were expecting their baby.

ffs, what's wrong with Baby Annabel!!

i still think they're sick!

sfxmum · 31/01/2007 10:38

that is just freaky those awful things sell on ebay for loads of cash -freaks

Nanou1 · 31/01/2007 10:40

OMG... so i was right then... and me thinking "surely not!". this is sick..... what next? horrible thoughts coming to my mind here..... this is SICK and making me want to cry... must show dh who already has a problem with the casts (?! i think that is rather cute though don't you?)

Paddlechick666 · 31/01/2007 10:52

i know! it just doesn't bear thinking about what people might want one of these for tbh.

i don't mind the casts altho never got one done.

dd's hand prints on my coffee mug work just fine for me!

don't cry nanou! eat chocolate........NOW!

Nanou1 · 31/01/2007 11:03

no chocolate in sight am i afraid... we have the mug too. makes me think that it could be fun to go to a pottery cafe with the kids one of these days?! or get the stuff and do it at home as a party?

foxabout2pop · 31/01/2007 11:15

Nanou - DD asks me every Saturday...are we having a party today?

Paddle - wow those are really bizarre aren't they? . Would like a rubberised DT one though!

But licking my lips, Lemonaid, at the thought of a chocolate DT!!!

thanks for cheering me up BTW!!

I deffo think that working is good for Mum's mental health - being out of my home has done me the world of good today; I'd have wallowed had I been at home.

suejonezisdanielsmummy · 31/01/2007 11:47

Hello everyone - major breakthrough today - havoing (unusually) woken at 12.30 Daniel slpet until 8 am this morning (obviously I didn't having been trained to wake at 4.30, 5.30 6.30 etc. I had to get up and check he was still breathing at 7.15am!

suejonezisdanielsmummy · 31/01/2007 11:49

Paddle - when ours are old enough for sleep overs, we can share the cost of a sitter as I can't really join a babysitting circle - there only being me and it not being legal to leave my boy on his own for te evening!

suejonezisdanielsmummy · 31/01/2007 11:50

Foxie - sorry your Dh is being a useless pillock (can;t remember the exact owrds you used) - I am an expert on useless pillocks if you want any advice! Though didn;t actually marry any of them so maybe the management is different...

uwila · 31/01/2007 11:50

Congrats, Sue! Sounds great. I was up at 5:00, so you'll get no sympathy from me when you do have to get up early. Just kidding, it'sgreat that he's settling into a nice routine.

Speaking of routines, when do you go back to work? Have you still got a while to be at home with your little master?

suejonezisdanielsmummy · 31/01/2007 11:52

Have sort of agreed to do a bit from home with a few hours in the office before the end of Feb (big presentation to board end Feb apparently and they need me to do the financial modelling). I guess I will go back 3 days a week in March and 4 in April. Hope that will be enough to settle him down.

Foxie I must ring Brenda to arrange to start taking him over there to get him used to it. In fact will ring her today during afternoon nap...

Paddlechick666 · 31/01/2007 13:25

sue, i typed a big response but then MN had a paddy!

anyways, babysitter sharing all good. happy to have you stay over too as and when daniel's ready for it then. you two in my room with travel cot and i'll bunk in with dd.

well done on getting him settled so well too. dd is now managing 11 hour nights regularly which is just amazing.

weekdays she can sleep till 7:15 but weekends she annoyingly wakes at 6 without fail. it's always a CM day that she likes to sleep late!

mind you, it makes no diff to me. i am sleeping really badly at the mo. awake every hour on the hour !

3 nights with no bf and things are going really well. takes about 30 mins for her to thrash around and drop off but she's actually faster asleep than she ever was after a bf......

what happened to MN then? or was it just me? i actually did a bit of work, then played with my spanky new phone!

foxabout2pop · 31/01/2007 13:59

Sue - that's very spooky actually, as was talking about you to Brenda today. She needs to talk to you to get start date etc confirmed and agree the contract with you, so it would be good if you could call her.

Good news about Daniel settling into his routine - he must be settling down to his new environment

Uwila - do you normally get up at 5am?

Paddle - why R U waking so often? Too many thoughts whizzing round the brain?

...or mabe its the traces of caffeine in that decaff PG tips?

Paddlechick666 · 31/01/2007 14:31

hi foxie, are you recovered from your david tennent fest?

i dunno why i can't sleep! i just wake adn have to look at the clock.

mind you, i know why i couldn't sleep on Monday night

foxabout2pop · 31/01/2007 14:39

You saucy mare!!!

No I haven't recovered...just took another peek at Uwila's I'm too sexy link

Its given me Braxton Hicks!!

2Cute · 31/01/2007 14:41

Afternoon all. How fast does this thread move?!

Hope you're ok now Foxi - Men hey I'm fab at verbal abuse so if you get tired and need me to step in, just say the word!

SJ - I've got some spare toys you could have for Daniel if you like?

I've been ringing around venues for DS's 3rd birthday and take a guess how much it costs to hire Hugo's for 2 hours?.... Just under £500!! Nanou - I'll email you once I find something.

uwila · 31/01/2007 14:50

" Cute, I've just done the same for DD's 4th birthday party. The best I have found is £95 at Teddington Sports Centre.

sfxmum · 31/01/2007 14:56

SJ - good going on the settling

2cute i am most definitely sticking to picnics in the park that is extortion, isn't there somewhere you could hire just the room and cater yourself?

foxie - hope you recover in time for home, otherwise there is always Leonidas
choccies for consolation or Carluccios

sfxmum · 31/01/2007 14:59

meant to say Paddle my sleep is always patchy i used to be up everyday at 5.30 when at work and seldom in bed before midnight, these days still can't go to bed early and wake up frequently unless i am doing proper regular exercise that is
