How is everyone?

Paddlechick666 · 29/01/2007 15:11

i'd just like to announce that I can get into my pre-pg jeans that i actually couldn't wear for a while before i was pg!!!

OP posts:
pudding77 · 29/01/2007 16:13

Hi paddle, congratulations on the pre-preg clothes!! I'm now on a serious weight-loss mission - I've got a friend's wedding in April which I'd like to go down two dress sizes by then!!

I take it you're off out with dh tonight? How are things on that front, if you don't mind me asking?

pudding77 · 29/01/2007 16:16

MrsB - you're more than welcome to get more boxes if you need them, but we now have more than enough noisy toys with it being ds's birthday at the weekend

Paddlechick666 · 29/01/2007 16:18

thanks ladies! i put it all down to the end of the bf to be honest, got to be some benefits!

pud, it's dh's birthday and he's actually coming over for dinner. his new dr seems very good, the meds seem to be kicking in but not really sure where we're at tbh.

just want a nice meal/evening with him on his birthday.

sfxmum · 29/01/2007 16:20

how are you getting on mrsD?how is sanity holding? i do so hate moving!

hi puds, i have my birthday at the weekend too but don't think anyone will give me loud plastic toys, well they better not 40 is now so near, how strange is that?

pudding77 · 29/01/2007 16:20

Sorry for my nosiness paddle , hope you have a nice time anyway

MrsBigD · 29/01/2007 16:26

Pudding, no more noisy toys I promise . Have to see when I'll be able to pop round. Might not be till Thursday.

SFX what's sanity??? The place looks like nothing I would care to describe and kids are very edgy probably because of the mess... ds has had a lot of 'noooooo' and 'miiiiiine' tantrums today argh

OP posts:
pudding77 · 29/01/2007 16:30

If you like, I can always drop the boxes to yours one evening instead, it might be easier!

MrsBigD · 29/01/2007 16:31

Oh that would be fantastic, but only if you're sure you don't mind

OP posts:
pudding77 · 29/01/2007 16:34

No probs, just let me know how many you'd like and when you'd like them. I can't bring them tonight but any other night this week would be fine.

MrsBigD · 29/01/2007 16:36

How many can you fit into your car? I feel like I've got a never ending task of putting stuff in boxes and the shelves/cupboards etc are just not getting emptier! I'm so glad when the move is over. What's keeping me 1/2 way sane is that it's going to be so nice once we've settled in.

If you could drop some tomorrow that would be absolutely fantastic!

OP posts:
suejonezisdanielsmummy · 29/01/2007 16:37

Singapore?! I asked what has happened in the past 3 months and no-one mentioned Quokka moving to Singapore!

Sorry MrsBigD - haven't got back to you about your kind offer of stuff and still refining the art of motherhood and not even upacked yet! I'm limiting visits to one per day so that I am not overwhelmed and fittingin things like Doctors and social worker visits take up quite a bit of time.

I have been gven quite a bit of stuff, the only thing I'm really short of are trousers (why does everyone buy them beaurtiful jumpers but never a pair of trousers!) and socks with rubbery feet (if you know what I mean.

pudding77 · 29/01/2007 16:41

Hi Sue, I joined the west london lot just before you left so I don't think we've really met!

I know what you mean about trousers, though for some reason, my ds has been inudated with coats & jackets! I honestly think I have enough for him to wear a different one every day! So, if you need any let me know & I can pass them on to you.

MrsB, no probs, I'll drop them off at yours, probably around 7-ish if that's ok.

uwila · 29/01/2007 16:47

Sue, what size boy trousers do you need?

MrsBigD · 29/01/2007 17:27

SJ I'll rummage through the boxes re trousers

Pudding that would be fantastic by 7 the kids are generally in bed ... yeah!

OP posts:
foxabout2pop · 29/01/2007 17:42

Sue - think trousers don't get passed on because trousers often wear out at the knee from LOs crawling around at that age.

I must have some tousers and socks from DS though TBH. Will have a dig.

Paddle - I have to warn you that if you get too slim and attractive I won't be able to be friends with you anymore. I don't like standing any where near to yummy mummies for reasons of potential unfavourable comparisons.

Anyway, make sure you get some sex tonight, whatever else happens

Hi everyone else

quokka · 29/01/2007 17:54

I've just found a critter who is injured on the decking and don't know if its a mole or rat. What should I do with it?

foxabout2pop · 29/01/2007 17:55

Oh yeah and I had a scan today to find out whether I still have placenta previa

I got an ambigious result. The placenta has moved in the right direction, but is still only 2.5/3cm from the "Os" (I do love that word). The hospital want it to be at least 4cm from Os in order to say everything is OK.

I have another scan booked in three weeks - 19 Feb, to check placenta again.

My consultant, "Mr Dishy", wrote on my notes "aims for an active birth in the birth centre but if placenta doesn't move or the baby's head is too high up we'll aim for a CS"

BTW, I'm sure Mr Dishy fancies me, because he says he wants to see me again on 19 Feb

quokka · 29/01/2007 17:58

thats good news foxy, I'm sure it will move down more
