thats great news Paddle good luck for tonight

i love picnics, this year we are hoping to make it to those musical evening picnics at kew

MrsRecycle · 29/01/2007 09:59

I had 4 hours to myself shopping yesterday and came back to a very sick baby . It really looks like he's allergic to something (probably milk) so it's back to fully breastfed for him which means I'll have to bring him with me OR I'll try and express the 7.30pm feed so that I can make it. Will keep you posted.

I can probably do an early afternoon Sat/Suns up until March - then we're away most weekends at the caravan. Would have to bring dds with me as dh will be working. Mind you dd1 is an excellent babysitter.

I have a big house (though no stairgates) so am happy to enterain you all in Ruislip.

Also, dh is planning a boys weekend away at our new caravan (pictures here - does anyone fancy a girls weekend away - it sleeps up to 8 people and Rye is beautiful and close by with some excellent restaurants and pubs. I have a 7 seater car so we should be able to get down in a couple of cars. I'll try and start a new thread and suggest some dates (from April onwards).

MrsBigD · 29/01/2007 10:09

oh that looks lovely! I'm entitled to a girls weekend away because dh will be having a gaming weekend away in March I think or was it June... oh my brain hurts.

OP posts:
MrsBigD · 29/01/2007 10:11

MrsRecycle · 29/01/2007 10:12

Haven't they just - ours has gas central heating/double glazing and a fridge freezer.

uwila · 29/01/2007 10:14

Oh, yes please. Girly weekend in Rye!!!

I've been wondering how you are MrsR. Sorry DS is still not well. Can you take him to the doc who diagnosed DD2. What's goin on with work? Are you due back soon?

Oh yes, I can second that MrsR's DD1 is a great helper/entertaining for toddlers.

quokka · 29/01/2007 10:16

I'm in for sure!

uwila · 29/01/2007 10:19

You are moving to Singapore. You can't come.

Paddlechick666 · 29/01/2007 10:25

oooh girls weekend away sounds fab to me!

i'm assuming without dcs? now dd is off the boob then i'm sure grandma won't be able to wait to get her hands on her for the weekend. mind you, i think i'll be a gibbering wreck!

that caravan looks fabulous too, it's posher than my house fgs. never been to rye before either.

i've got a great car for going away, can take 4 passengers and a seriously huge boot for luggage.

hey quokka, is your babysitter "doing you" ('scuse the expression!) on 10th or d'you think she might be available?

thanks for good lucks re: dh, it feels like some progress at least........

foxabout2pop · 29/01/2007 10:38

Mrs R - am very of your caravan, its beautiful!!!

Please do feel free to bring your baby to the night out - it would give me an excuse to cuddle it while you eat!

I'd love to come on the girly weekend at Rye. I have a 7 seater too, so could drive as well if need be. I would have a two month old baby with me though - so I'll leave it up to you whether that's OK. Would you have your baby with you too perhaps, if your BFing?

Good luck with the investigations into what LO is allergic to.

MrsBigD · 29/01/2007 10:41

PC what better place to be a gibbering wreck than that lovely caravan surrounded by friends who will be plying you with booze to make the temporary separation angst go away

OP posts:
Paddlechick666 · 29/01/2007 10:41

i have plenty of room for travel cots in my boot for those who will be bringing wee ones ;-)

i even have a travel cot available if needed ;-)

mrsR, sorry i should've said earlier, hope your ds is diagnosed and feeling better soon.

am allegedly working from home but i have serious lack of concentration issues!

Paddlechick666 · 29/01/2007 10:42

very good point MrsB! did you get my text about brothers' weird plastic key at all?

quokka · 29/01/2007 10:42

Spore is looking more and more likely. The board have approved the new role that dh would do, but they still have to offer it internally.

Pc I can see if shes free on the 10th

MrsR, I hope they sort out ds soon - thinking of you

MrsBigD · 29/01/2007 10:43

yes I did and I replied! Haven't seen it I'm afraid, but total chaos here so if Leon saw it before me it could be anywhere.

BTW need a decision on the pics by tonight if you want everything ready for the weekend.

OP posts:
Paddlechick666 · 29/01/2007 10:48

hmm, didn't get a reply from you

no worries, will tell bro. i am already hassling re: pic decision. he was supposed to tell me last night!

MEN!!

MrsBigD · 29/01/2007 10:50

no worries, as long as he likes at least one of the pictures he strikes me as the sporadically 'hypercritical' type
