Time for a new general chat thread

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Nanou no blood involved. dd fell akwardly after not being able to land where she wanted and loosing her balance. Just a very light sprain I'm sure as most of the time she forgets about it and plays her normal wild self only if she wants something does she remember...

Nanou1 · 22/01/2007 15:45

oh ... so my dd has some of my latin blood after all then ; not just her father's english and welsh genes!!! glad your dd is ok.

Paddlechick666 · 22/01/2007 15:51

don't want to upset anyone but.........

i just had a lovely, long, warm, un-interrupted bath, read my book and fell asleep for a little while.

god, i could almost imagine i was pre-child!

the house is spotless and i have cleared my desk and sorted out dd's old clothes.

[smug emoticon]

dd is evidently enjoying being with CM and I have another hour to myself!

must do some paperwork quickly.

ps: I finally got around to watching Torchwood too

MrsBigD · 22/01/2007 16:06

Nanou your dd wasn't involved in the 'incident'

OP posts:
Nanou1 · 22/01/2007 16:07

you lucky girl .... esp as our boiler packed up on fri evening.... still waiting for plumber to come and sort it out. so playing little house on the prairy when it comes to bath time and carrying pans of boiling water from kitchen to bathroom!!! what's this about torchwood? i love it! who else is a fan? although my fav on a sun night is "waking the dead". you ok paddle?

Paddlechick666 · 22/01/2007 16:29

yeah i love torchwood too - it was the NY Eve special that I recorded. Can't wait for a new series.

I wanna be Gwen, how sad am I LOL!

nightmare on the boiler front, I have BG Homecare so assume that if boiler packed up they would be here quick smart however BG have so dicked me about in the past I think I am foolish in my security of this LOL.

happy to offer bathroom to Nanou Family anytime.........

Paddlechick666 · 22/01/2007 16:32

am not bad thanks Nanou.

got 8 hours sleep last night and still feel like i could snooze the day away!

will have to go get Little Paddle shortly and have a big cuddle!

Nanou1 · 22/01/2007 16:35

thanks paddle! our neighbours have kindly offered too and might take their offer. washing my hair is the worst i am finding!

pudding77 · 22/01/2007 16:35

Paddle, that sounds like a lovely day! Did you watch the final episodes then? I won't say what dh thought as I don't want to give anything away if you haven't. Thanks for the tip about the buggy snuggles as well, I'll keep an eye out!

Ds is having a nap now so I've got his tea ready for when he wakes up and thought I'd have a quick check on MN!

Paddlechick666 · 22/01/2007 16:40

pud, yep i watched them both back to back before my bath.

in australia there's a thing called a mental health day which is what you take when we brits would pull a sickie - boy i have had one of those today!!!!!

pudding77 · 22/01/2007 16:53

Our old next door neighbour worked for a company where you could take duvet days instead of sickies - I thought that was a great idea!

What did you think to the last episodes?

foxabout2pop · 22/01/2007 17:52

Nanou you're always welcome to use our bath/shower - bear in mind I clean it with coca cola though!

sfxmum · 22/01/2007 18:35

SOME GOOD NEWS

foxabout2pop · 22/01/2007 18:51

Thanks sfx - have been waiting for that all day

2Cute · 22/01/2007 22:24

Great news about sue

Thanks for inviting us to the party Quokka, we both had a fab time. Glad you're DS had a good time, he was giggling away!

DS starts play group on Wednesday....so what am I so nervous about? Am I neurotic? It's only 2 mornings a week at the moment just to get him used to the idea before he starts nursery.

Paddlechick666 · 23/01/2007 08:38

morning all

well dd slept nearly 11.5 hours last night - altho had to medi-sed her at 7:45 as her teeth were just obviously giving her greif.

she had a great day with the CM so thank goodness for that!

foxie, the bumbo is aqua and i'd be very happy to flog it to you! it's boxed etc so good re-sale value on ebay. as for boys clothes - i bought some blue/football babygrows in mothercare sale........

2cute, am sure ds will be fine tomorrow! i've just remembered that i'm visiting a nursery at 3pm this arvo so can't come over for coffee today i'm afraid.

right, off to tesco. dd has outgrown all her jeans and even the ones in Nanou's big bag are too tight - eek! my dd's tummy is very round!

have a nice day all!

ps: pud, i enjoyed torchwood but actually found the storyline pretty weak. episode 2 was laughable really - remnants of godzilla ffs! i did like the "loves lost" thread but felt a bit sorry for Tosh.

foxabout2pop · 23/01/2007 08:55

2cute - your DS will be fine - it will be so good for him. He's cute isn't he?

DD has thrived since she started nursery - her vocabulary has quadrupled and she's just so much more confident.

Paddle - deffo interested in Bumbo. When we meet next, name me a price.

Glad DD had a good sleep

Paddlechick666 · 23/01/2007 11:17

foxie, i've got a sit in bath seat as well if you'd like it.

won't do for your new cub till he's sitting up but you're welcome to it.

got a bright bubblegum pink baby bath as well somewhere!

not sure what you've still got from ds1 and dd!

not sure on a price for the bumbo - i bought it for £25 so how about £15?

i was going to sell dd's sleeping bags too but along with some newborn stuff and my maternity clothes i've decided to keep - think i am being a bit foolish tho!

foxabout2pop · 23/01/2007 11:23

Paddle - I'd hang on to some stuff if I were you. Wait until you've decided whether to keep DH anyway!!

Apart from the Bumbo of course, which we'll have £15 sounds fine. I get paid on Thursday so remind me to pay you while I've got some money!!

Nanou1 · 23/01/2007 13:36

foxie - thanks for offer .

MrsBigD · 23/01/2007 15:45
