xoxo - glad you enjoying your new job. so did you pick the Dorset fave spots based on which smelled less of cider?

as for night out will let others fill in on the debauchery

MrsBigD · 24/01/2007 12:08

quick question... has anybody got time on Saturday afternoon to look after my lo's for a couple of hours? We need to get the landlords stuff out of our storage unit and having the kids with us would be mayhem! I'll even pay you

just found
Vegetarian Cookbook - Foxie do you want it?
and
Cheap Eats - who wants that?

Sorry mrsd - with mortgage advisors on saturday . I could assist on Sunday if it rolls over??

Uwila: Dorset was lovely (well, bits of it). Some greimmers (as my old mum would say. It means big council estates, which is peculiar as she/ we/ me were raised on big council estates! strange brand of inverse snobbery)

DH still haggling over teh terms. To confuse matters he's just been offered a part time, well paid job here. and he's feeling guilty about my lovely new job. Poor wee man is in turmoil. Dorset still favourite though. (tummy wrenching emotion)

suejonezisdanielsmummy · 24/01/2007 16:42

You are such stars! Life saving by DVD, I love you all - I do you know (and I'm not even drunk).

Paddlechick666 · 24/01/2007 16:44

oh c'mon Sue! you've got to tell us more than that!

we love you too but we want details of Daniel!!!!!

suejonezisdanielsmummy · 24/01/2007 16:47

sj: welcome back to you both, and here's the first test of a REAL mummy - quickly get a babysitter for the 10th/ 17th Feb and you can tell us ALL in detail over dinner.

pudding77 · 24/01/2007 19:07

Welcome back SJ!

How's everyone else?

MrsB - thanks again for the toys, ds has had great fun with them! I put batteries in the musical one, turned it off an hour later as it was getting a little annoying & he's figured out how to switch it on! SO guessing not much peace & quiet for me anymore

2Cute · 24/01/2007 23:23

Welcome back SJ!

Pud - Once they figure out how to use switches, there's no peace for ya!

MrsBigD · 25/01/2007 07:20

Sorry Pudding but at least ds is happy

MrsBigD · 25/01/2007 10:38

Paddlechick666 · 25/01/2007 10:50

Under the current joyous circumstances I am resurrecting this

snowmum · 25/01/2007 11:51

Hello and welcome back SJ, we've not met but I've loads about your amazing journey thru other MNetters and your blog. Hope and Daniel get settled at home (and get over jetlag!) soon. Look forward to seeing you when you're back in circulation.

foxabout2pop · 25/01/2007 12:09

Sue - hey welcome to the selfless world of Mummydom!

How does it feel to hear the dulcet sounds of Heathrow again?

You and Daniel must both be exhausted.

suejonezisdanielsmummy · 25/01/2007 12:20

Bliss - he's asleep. Jetlag not to be recommneded on top of a child that takes falling asleep as a personal insult.

suejonezisdanielsmummy · 25/01/2007 12:22

It's so bizarre to be home. We went for a walk around to the shops ysterday. Just went - weather wasn't too cold, it wasn't too slippery, not 10 flights of stairs to climb so I just went. And you know EVERYONE in Boots spoke Ennglish. More bliss...

uwila · 25/01/2007 12:32

Errrr... I think Sue needs to say when and if the baby shower / welcome home is on at all. As I recall she is concerned that too many people all at once might be a bit overwhelming for Daniel. So, I know I started this, but I don't want to trample on his cute little feet.

However, Sue, if this is onthen I would be more than happy to come and give Daniel a big hug and kiss (and so would DD and DS -- though DS' kisses are rather slobbery. They involve a wide open mouth with extra saliva)

lemonaid · 25/01/2007 12:37

Jetlag is a bummer, but it does pass -- about a day for each hour of time difference, IME. Very impressed at your being out and about already.

suejonezisdanielsmummy · 25/01/2007 12:39

Happy to have one but need some breathing space to get over jetlag and make sure he is secure before introducing him to loads of people. How about I think about timings when we're over the jetlag say early next week?

foxabout2pop · 25/01/2007 12:39

Sue you must feel pretty strange having been away so long - particularly as most of it was against your will!

I bet you really appreciate the little comforts of home now. I find I do even if I go on hols for a week, so it must be so much more intense for you.

Kew Retail Park must seem like heaven - particularly the M&S food hall

suejonezisdanielsmummy · 25/01/2007 12:41

HAven't got as far as M&S food hall. Everything seems very shiny and bright and there is far too much choice. My head hurts from the possibilites just for lunch. How did I ever make a decision before?
