over share alert avert if easily upset

anyway i seem to be ovulating now do i
a) get on with it and try for dc2?
b)wait until am less lardy?

c)consult dh? nah...

quokka · 14/01/2007 16:13

lol sfx, I had 2 close together (20 months) and they love each other so much! I want to have another but as I've lost all my pregnancy weight thats putting me off. I swell to an awesome size while preggers

sfxmum · 14/01/2007 16:31

yes last time i put on 4stone, 20m later still have nearly 2! but am so so broody on the other hand with PCOS the risk of GD is quite high and would like to avoid it, so lower weight better.

anyway the pc where i am writing the thing crashed i swear not on purpose
(can't do it on my lap top thing runs on Linux)

quokka · 14/01/2007 16:50

No idea how much I put on exactly as I never weigh myself, but am usually a size 10-12 and I go up to 16-18, most of my weight goes to my boobs, they end up bigger than my head.

I have PCOS as well, they said it would take a long time to get preggers, but it took 2 weeks the first time, and 4 months with ds2. You never know how it will turn out. But if you want to do it, then why not?

sfxmum · 14/01/2007 17:01

similar increase here and yes i do feel everything goes on the bazoombas so sick of them getting in the way
a mw weighed me at hospital 3days before birth and i nearly fell off the scales in shock

mellownomore · 14/01/2007 17:33

sfx,
I would second quokka. If you want another, go for it!

Thx quokka. That's very kind of you. I'm sure dd would really enjoy it.

quokka · 14/01/2007 17:34

you know I don't think I've ever been weighed at the hospital while preggers? I find it so strange that treatment is so different depending on which hosiptal you go to. Or it constantly changes every year or two. Just another thing I don't get about this country.

snowmum · 14/01/2007 17:55

Sfx, I echo Mellow. Go for it! DH and I are also trying for number 2, perhaps we'll be roomies in Kingston hosp!

Paddlechick666 · 14/01/2007 18:08

snigger

someone said bazoombas

he he he snigger

sorry to be so childish but it's a great word!

Quokka, I cannot imagine you putting on heaps of weight!

I think I was pretty lucky with pg weight, put on about 12kg but a third of that was baby.

I've struggled to lose the last few kg but it's shifting now. I think I am one of those people who carry a few extra kg when bf and now we're down to 1 or 2 feeds per day i'm losing it gradually.

sfx, no harm in trying is there? either way i'm sure you'll have fun!

Paddlechick666 · 14/01/2007 18:10

mrsb and foxie, thanks for the visit.

really enjoyed it and hopefully dd will be nice n tired for her bedtime tonight.

i cannot do another 2 hour settle tonight!

all your LOs are great value.

foxie, my dd and your ds are definately in love!

pudding77 · 14/01/2007 18:40

Hi everyone, we've been busy doing some stuff with the house & we went to Hyde Park today as it was so nice.

How's the weekend been?

Sfx - I'd also say go for it if you both want to!

Oh, and for those of you who asked - the basic wallbed came in at around £5000 - you can get loads of extras though and they did look quite nice! But we've decided not to bother!

foxabout2pop · 14/01/2007 20:43

Puds - £5k you are joking ! Why not buy a spare car and guests can sleep in that instead for the same price? Or an inflatable bed from Argos, £18.99 ?

Paddle - thanks for the great afternoon and letting me snooze on your sofa - DS and DD really enjoyed themselves and are now snoring happily in bed . Its so funny watching your DD and my DS together isn't it?

MrsD - hope you got back ok and the LOs weren't too overloaded with sugar

sfx - hope you had sex this arvo! [snigger] seriously though - go for it, that broody feeling just gets stronger - believe me I know

sfxmum · 14/01/2007 21:49

dh thanks you for the encouragement but if i don't get another 2500 words on this essay thing by bedtime he ain't getting none

O2BMe · 14/01/2007 22:35

Hi - had computer turned off as doing a big spring clean early (must be the global warming affecting me)

Dh and I have decided to start trying for dc2 as well. Want to have them close (ds is currently 8mths). But I also am concerned about extra kilos not yet lost from 1st prg. Feeling really crap about it at the mo. Didn't start with a great fig so can't expect any miracles I guess.

Hi 2Cute, yes would love to meet up - how's Thurs or Fri this week for you?

Snowmum, you are very welcome to join us if you're free.

sfxmum · 14/01/2007 22:48

yes do and afterwards we form a running club of west london mums with added baby sitting circle, foxie coming to but by then she will be well fit

foxabout2pop · 15/01/2007 08:36

New years resolution: to get my body back - the one I had at 25

xoxo · 15/01/2007 08:44

hi all. we're back. Mozzie bitten and knackered.
what have I missed?

It's really sad but I moissed MN whne away, and I've only been here a few months. God knows how addicted the old timers are

brief summary: food = fab, beaches = great, kids = brats, fatter than before = , really must diet =

Oh - and looks like Dorset might be happening

uwila · 15/01/2007 08:53

Noooooo..... You are leaving us for Dorset? More info, please!

foxabout2pop · 15/01/2007 09:09

Oxo - glad you had a great holiday

Has DH got the job offer then?

Paddlechick666 · 15/01/2007 10:04

just a quickie:

I'm making an exective decision and will order the toddler trampoline for Quokka's ds2's birthday present.

It's £35 incl postage so split between all of us that should be quite reasonable.

Hope all agree! Am hoping to get it in time if I order today!

Nanou1 · 15/01/2007 10:12

morning all.
thanks paddle for organising . you ok?

Paddlechick666 · 15/01/2007 10:18

hi nanou

all ordered now, delivery weds so plenty of time for actual birthday.

not firing on all cylinders but am doing okay - thanks

uwila · 15/01/2007 10:33

I'm in for the trampoline too.

snowmum · 15/01/2007 14:55

Paddle, ditto Uwila.

O2BMe, wish I could meet with you and 2Cute but can't do this week. DH b'day on Fri and he's taking the day off work and wants (what he calls) "quality family time". We're off out that evening for posh meal. Thurs is going to be spent with the Fri night babysitter so that DD gets used to her. I'll have to take a raincheck and meet with you another time.

O2BMe · 15/01/2007 15:30

No probs snowmum, plenty of chances to catch up in the future I'm sure.

Just something I thought I'd throw out there for your comments........

"Do you think DC get their personalities from their genes or is it learned!"

DS's personality traits are really showing through lately and some of them are definately like mine (which is not necessarily preferred) but I was wondering if he has learned them from spending most of his time with me or are they inherited?

Just curious. What do you think.
