i used homeopathic suppositories for my dd. very very efficient but was told by gp that i would never find them here . i have a sample at home if anyone wants one or two . i found it was teh most efficient and even my ex boss used them on her daughter!

quokka · 12/01/2007 11:52

Hello all, just found this thread. Those early politics debates sounded juicy!

Congrats to Mellow on the job!

Welcome O2beme. I'm a fellow SAHM in Richmond. Have a 19mo DD who's steamrollering her way towards the terrible 2's.

Just got my broadband line back after 6 weeks in the dial up wilderness. Feels good to be civilsed again! Hope all those who are having childcare probs get things resolved.

Hi Snowmum and welcome. W e have an evening out planned on 20 March - I can do the link but its on the local meets section.

Hi everyone else. Had a crap week - "lost" the fab morgage we thought we had (IT NEVER EXSITED - THE BROKERS MADE A "MISTAKE"_) woops, er nearly divorced DH, burts out crying at work, interest rates went up and now don't know whether DH has a job after June.

feck it...feck it...feck it...

This thread has moved smoothly from high politics to sore bottoms

foxabout2pop · 12/01/2007 16:47

Plus have lost all ability to spell - and CAN'T do links!

sfxmum · 12/01/2007 17:05

foxie - sorry you had a crap week! guess you tired too and counting down the days to mat leave.
hate all mortgage related things still not recovered from last time.

snowman hi welcome back

suppositories - have had a couple of amusing conversations with dh on the subjecthe squirms at the thought of itquite common in the continent

sfxmum · 12/01/2007 17:06

snowmum

oh yes and pud are you looking for work?if so
hope you find something suitable soon

2Cute · 12/01/2007 17:16

Foxy - Sorry about the mortgage. Wish I could suggest something.

Poor teething babies and poor sleep deprived mums

pudding77 · 12/01/2007 18:23

to foxie - hope you get a good rest this weekend.

Hi snowmum & 2cute!

Sfx - not sure what I'm going to do yet, just thinking this week that I'd like to do something but not sure what yet! Ideally I'd like to study something but don't think I'd have the time or money to do it!

Final note - politics & sore bottoms, surely there's some link there?

pudding77 · 12/01/2007 18:24

New, short update from Sue

sfxmum · 12/01/2007 19:36

thanks for link pud
also know what you mean about doing something hence my study, i think there are ways of getting funding/help which are worth investigating starting with colleges and universities. i managed to pay for this first part with my bonus but further study will require more 'maneuvering'

foxabout2pop · 12/01/2007 19:47

Puds - politics and sore bottoms?

Surely that's not another reference to Simon Hughes?

...sorry not very pc am I?

pudding77 · 12/01/2007 20:29

I wasn't actually thinking of it that way foxie

mellownomore · 12/01/2007 21:10

Hi, I'm back!!

I'm soooooo tired. I slept 3.5 hours yesterday and had a busy day at work. Anyway, it's the weekend so I don't have to face work till Monday.

Foxie,
Sorry to hear about your mortgage news! That's crap! We'll have to get a new mortgage deal sorted out by June so the interest rate rise is not good.

Paddlechick666 · 12/01/2007 21:12

evening all,

thanks for the babysitting offer pud!

hope everyone's well.

sorry haven't been on much - busy and not feeling very talkative.

poor Sue, am really feeling sorry for the ongoing saga she is enduring.

foxabout2pop · 12/01/2007 22:09

hi mellow hi paddle

mellow - I hope you manage to catch up on some rest this weekend.

paddle DS asked me today when I was going to buy a sony laptop like yours!!!

funny the things LOs remember!

How's it going with DH?

Paddlechick666 · 12/01/2007 22:15

hi foxie

your ds is so funny! has he bought that uber card yet? did you see the dr who obssive thread on MN?

things with dh are pretty bad. am very downhearted. i emailed his dr who suggested i go to the next session but on the whole his response was actually quite upsetting.

tbh, i'm pretty unsure what to do right now

gimme a shout if you're about tomorrow and fancy a stroll in kew or something.

foxabout2pop · 12/01/2007 22:23

Paddle - yeah I might be up for that - although walking is getting a bit tricky but I'm sure we could manage something

That's crap about your DH. I think you should maybe go to the next session if you can - at least you might get the opportunity to bottom some of this out.

I knew I'd be able to turn the convo round to bottoms again

I keep craving decaff PG Tips now...

That Dr Who thread was MY idea but I was too lazy to start it so mossy started it instead. Its great isn't it? She and her DH are dedicated geeks

sfxmum · 12/01/2007 22:40

apparently dh is working tomorrow oh so poopoo!

pc - sorry it's another downer, i think when people are really low and wrapped up in themselves they never realize how hurtful they can be pushing loved ones away

i need some sleep but have been sleeping really badly lately once in a while i get in a panic about us being on one income alone and dh being on freelance contracts - but no point obsessing i guess

MrsBigD · 12/01/2007 23:38

PC so sorry to hear about dh. Did the doc warn you that first off he'll go down before he gets better? ime problem with depression is it's very self involved iykwim basically just echoing what sfx said.

Unfortunately busy tomorrow with dentist and kid's party otherwise would be happy to meet up. If you need an ear to bend Sunday let me know
