spacecadet · 28/03/2006 16:37

amyjo-there is a station at hitchinSmile
pc-yes im in cambs, although if you are going to meet in stevenage i will have to give it a miss now as its over an hour and a three quarters awaySad

girrafey · 28/03/2006 18:20

hey sc.
i have checked an it is 20 mins from st. neots to hitchin. no changes so there is fine for me.

where abouts are you in cambs? if ely as i think it is about 40-50 mins away from me, and then another 20 or so to hitchin. so still quite a way. would that be ok for you?

spacecadet · 28/03/2006 18:28

im in haddenham, 7 miles from ely, 15 miles from cambridge.
hitchin is about an hour and a quarter according to routefinder, so long as i leave by quarter to 2 i should be fine![have to pick ds up from school]

girrafey · 28/03/2006 18:31

ok sc. well maybe we could meet in cambridge one time?

gm, you are near to wimpole arn't you? we went to the lambing weekend on sunday.

was well cute!!

sorry going off course a bit.

SecondhandRose · 28/03/2006 18:58

Sorry I didn't get there, I am going to Gatwick at 6am tomorrow so things have got very busy. Hope to come to the next one but Hitchin is about as far north as I can come.

spacecadet · 28/03/2006 19:07

yes that would be great amyjo

Tabs · 28/03/2006 19:08

I can get anywhere as long as DD is having a happy day and DH leaves me the GPS! I drive, and live midway between Stevenage, Hitchin, Harpenden, Luton, Welwyn, St Albans etc - middle of nowhere but close to everywhere!

PiccadillyCircus · 28/03/2006 20:06

We're in Henlow in Bedfordshire; about 5 miles from both Letchworth and Hitchin, 15 miles from Stevenage.

Have car and can drive pretty much anywhere.

Georgiesmum · 28/03/2006 21:02

I can do cambridge, stevenage anywhere within reason.

when shall we meet again?

OP posts:
teabelly · 28/03/2006 22:20

We're in Arlesey, Beds (next village from Piccadilly Circus Grin) also have a car and happy to go whereever...so long as there's food, and chatter, and food...Wink

Spacecadet when I used to get the train to London for work iirc there are some fast Cambridge trains. I think they go all stops before Cambs then Cambs, Royston, Letchworth (and then you may have to change for Hitchin/Stevenage not sure), but I'm not sure if maybe these are in rush hour only??

With regards to when can I ask for before 2nd May or after 17th May ? Smile

Tabs · 29/03/2006 08:21

Why don't we try and do something in the w/c 24th April, in either Stevenage, Letchworth or Hitchin.

Can people say which location and dates they can/can't do, and whether they know of any suitable restaurants in those towns, and then perhaps once we have a date and place that suits us few, we can start a new thread to see if anyone else wants to join us?

girrafey · 29/03/2006 08:45

well hitchin seems to be the fav at the mo. i can go anywhere as long as its next to a train station. afraid i dont know hitchin so not sure if it is.

what time are we thinking off? as i think its sc who will need to leave to do a school run.

my dd has her lunch bout 12 so i would need to be there for about then. how bout neone else?

that week is fine with me.

Georgiesmum · 29/03/2006 08:50

I think 11:45 is a good time and w/c 27th April is good for me, notbothered where3

11.45 good time here aswell - dd also eats around midday so need to be in and seated in time or else all hell breaks loose Wink

spacecadet · 29/03/2006 17:50

only prob with me getting a train is that im 15 miles away from cambridge and unless you are there at 7 am you cant park in the car park!!!
easier to me to driveSmile
amyjo if you need a lift at all, just shout, its no problem to come to st neots, ive got a seven seater so plenty of room!

girrafey · 30/03/2006 08:20

oh sc that would be soo nice.
thank you so much.
TB asked for monday or friday. i start childminding the week before and will be working on the monday. can go with 2 of them if people could only do monday but friday would be better.

ok, so how are people for friday 28th at 11. 45 ish somewhere in hitchen?

i cant name a place as never been there.

ps, i will be the looking really stressed at it will be 2 days before my daughters first birthday and her christening!!!

Tabs · 30/03/2006 11:54

Oh dear - I can't do the Friday that week, as am signed up for baby massage class, unless I just pop in for an hour if it's Hitchin, as class is Hitchin too, so could go straight there afterwards.

spacecadet · 30/03/2006 12:02

amyjo, as i said let me know if you need a lift, dont worry if you have to bring your chilmindee as i have a people carrier and lots of child seats!

teabelly · 30/03/2006 12:51

Oh Tabs - maybe if we met abit earlier that would give you some more time with us. What time does the class end? maybe you could hightail it back to us afterwards Grin

So shall we start a new thread for a meet up on friday 27th April, in Hitchin (prob Cafe Rouge again as that's only place big enough I can think of Grin)??
