Thanks teabelly, Seriously now how will we know who each other are? What is the reservation under?

SecondhandRose · 19/03/2006 07:49

I'll be bringing my Daily Star, tucked under my arm, with dark glasses on! See you all then. Just found out DS has a play on at school at 2.30pm that afternoon, fairly typical after I organise something.

teabelly · 19/03/2006 20:39

Hi,

Reservation is under the name of Hoskins. There is a long bench at the back where the tables can be pushed together to make one long table, and which is the only one I suspect will fit us all on, so I asked for that...whether that's what we get of course is another matter Wink But fingers crossed hopefully we'll be the only ones on that table...the other signs to look out for will be harrassed lost looking mums scanning the restaurant Grin

Joking aside tho Georgiesmum I've been to a couple of meetups and generally it's easy to spot the MN lot, but I've never met anyone wearing/holding a carnation before so maybe we should do that for the fun of it! Grin

teabelly · 19/03/2006 20:41

Oh SecondhandRose - I have a party booked in the afternoon too so will probably only be around til about 2ish too Smile

PiccadillyCircus · 20/03/2006 19:56

I will be almost definitely wearing baby vomit Grin.

And snot Grin.

teabelly · 21/03/2006 12:59

He he he PC Grin - I once walked all around Lechworth town proudly showing ds off in the sling before I realised that he'd vommed all down him and me - couldn't see as he was facing away from me BlushGrin

faeriemum · 21/03/2006 19:20

anyone know how far the cafe is from where you get off the bus at market bit??

mumpleasemayi · 21/03/2006 19:23

its not far,a couple of minutes walk at the most.

Georgiesmum · 21/03/2006 22:11

Apologies if I am a little jaded at meet up it is DD 1st birthday on sunday so may be tired! Oh also anyone know where to park?

OP posts:
teabelly · 22/03/2006 14:54

Georgiesmum there are three car parks around the Market area (on the 505 as you come through town) and just before that there's a long stay at Woodside Park (again on the 505 just before you hit town proper) Monday's not a market day so there should be spaces in the ones nearer town, hth Smile

Tabs · 22/03/2006 15:31

I'll be easy to spot. I have a stripey orange 3 wheel pushchair that will be crashing into everything as it's so wide Grin.

faeriemum · 22/03/2006 15:49

faeriemum · 22/03/2006 15:49

i'll end up calling everyone by their MN name!

Tabs · 22/03/2006 15:55

That's okay faeriemum - I have no imagination so my MN name is my shortened real name!

Georgiesmum · 22/03/2006 16:02

Well, it looks like I'm going to have to take a raincheck it's all going pear shaped this end. We are going on holiday on the Wed of that week and now I'm trying to cram everything in before I go and what with DS's play as well it's all gone a bit mad.

Count me in for the next one. Have a great time.

PiccadillyCircus · 22/03/2006 16:34

I will be not too harrassed as will only have 6 month old DD rather than 2.4 year old DS as well Smile.

I am shortish, brown hair, beige coat and hopefully a big smile Smile.

DD will probably be smiling too (although knowing my luck she will be a grumpy small thing Grin)

PiccadillyCircus · 22/03/2006 16:35

Should we have name badges (spot the mumsnet meet-up virgin Smile)

Second Hand Rose, sorry you can't make it - hope to see you another time (and have a good holiday).

Georgiesmum · 22/03/2006 20:30
