faeriemum · 31/01/2006 16:52

Hi there Georgiesmum

I'm in Arlesey on the Herts/Beds border (A1M jcn 10), and work in Letchworth, and PiccadillyCircus is just up the road from me...which village do you live in? We have friends in one of the Mordens between Ashwell and Royston, any good for you??

BTW I have a 3 1/2 year old ds and a lovely chubby 8month old dd

P.S. PicadillyCircus how is ds getting on with his new sister? Loving her to bits like mine is - quite literally!

QE2 · 07/02/2006 21:58

I guess you lot are the nearest anyone is to me. I am almost in Bedford. 1 dd and 4 ds's.

to hertfordshire area parents,
I run an allergy support group for parents who have children with severe allergies.
I wonder if you could pass on my details to any parents who you think would be interested.

I have four children and one of them has multiple food and environmental allergies, some of which are potentially fatal.

thanks in advance

sarah

misdee · 08/02/2006 11:23

sarah, have left a message on the allergy thread.

teabelly · 08/02/2006 21:12

Alibubbles - I didn't think anyone else would have heard of Arlesey - unless of course you drive a dumpster - not everyone has a great big landfill on their doorstep, he he he! Don't remember any black labs about - and ds would have pointed them out as he's a big dog fan...mind you Arlesey is 3 miles long from top to bottom so if they live at the other end your childmindee's mum would have to be a keen walker, as I certainly wouldn't have ventured much further than the nearest chip shop 1/2 a mile away

teabelly · 09/02/2006 16:24

Spooky Ali - besides the chip shop and a fab indian you've managed to find just about the only other business in Arlesey! Ooooh and we have the blue and green lagoon's and the old mental hospital - gosh I don't know why the place isn't more popular!

Georgie I haven't been to Woolmer Green either so at least you're not on your own there Funny, we have been having a discussion on the June mummies thread about babies weights...bet my chubster is chubbier than yours we live proudly on the 91st centile

Georgiesmum · 09/02/2006 21:26

Teabelly, my Dd also lives proudly on the 91st!! was 8lb 8 oz when born and now at 46 weeks is 22.14 lbs! Georgie was born in march what about yours?

OP posts:
teabelly · 10/02/2006 08:48

Hi again - Amber was only 6lb 13oz when born but climbed the centiles very quickly and was 22lb 6oz at her 8 mth check last week Mind you dh and I were 'solid' children, so that's what I put it down to

Georgiesmum · 10/02/2006 09:15

I was a dolid child and unfortunately I am still solid!!

OP posts:
Georgiesmum · 10/02/2006 09:15

*solid

OP posts:
teabelly · 10/02/2006 19:38

he he he Georgiesmum much better to be solid than to blow away with a gust of wind! well that's our motto in the Teabelly house So are you a sahm or going back to work/back at work?? I work tues-thurs so could do fri-mon if you ever fancy a meet up sometime - and anyone else who fancies it too??

Georgiesmum · 20/02/2006 14:05

Hello nearish people .

We are in Henlow.

DS generally loves his little sister; he is very protective of her .

Our piano also came from the Pianoman (that was when we lived in Hertford).

Will come back to this thread but need to go and pick DS up from nursery.

PiccadillyCircus · 20/02/2006 16:52

DS is 27 months and DD is 5 months

teabelly · 21/02/2006 13:56

Georgiesmum - hi again - I'm in Arlesey (2 miles out of Letchworth, and next village down from PiccadillyCircus (hello again Pic - not sure if you remember but we chatted ages ago when I was still with giant bump tearing down the station steps to get the train glad to hear ds is enamoured of his little sis)

Hello Mumpleasemayi if we arrange a meet would you like to join us too?

I'm free any thurs pm through to monday pm...but may have to wait a couple of weeks as yesterday ds (3yrs 8mths) came down with chickenpox, arrhhh! Just praying dd (8mths) still has some of my immunity left...no spots on her yet, but I'm sure it's only time I think the incubation period can be up to around 15 days, so I can prob do a meet after 14th March...any good for anyone?

mumpleasemayi · 21/02/2006 19:16

hello,
would love to come to a meet up,but i dont drive so it kind of limits me to where i can get to

cheers
